Great place for a nice sunset walk really close to NE Albuquerque. Be aware that it usually costs 1 - 2$ to park in cash, but sometimes they dont collect when I visit which is usually around sunset. It is always cooling down nicely an hour before sunset! There are many actual trails to go on, some are walking only, but some of them you have to share bikes with so make sure you are on the lookout for them since they speed from behind the bushes. Ive never had problems with bugs so far, but its really open so if you plan to visit during the middle of the day make sure you have sunscreen!

Great place to take your pups for a hike! Plenty of shaded areas for a quick water break and theres even some tables and benches along the way for a nice picnic. Very well maintained, Ive never seen any litter anywhere. Also a great place for photos!

Great for walking, dog walking, and cycling. Picnic gazebo probably needs to be reserved as its always occupied. Can spot deer crossing the trails on cooler days. Bring your own water and snacks. Trails can have traffic jams of cyclists and walkers sharing same paths. Usually very busy but the ranger at the pay gate will tell you if they are close to full. Pay pass for the year is $30-35 for two owned vehicles so very worth it if you visit often.

We went looking for this according to the directions on the website and theres nothing there but a giant arroyo! It is on the east side of tramway! Google maps has it on the west side!!

Absolutely the ideal place for an outdoor wedding! I had a 125 guest wedding for less than $350!! Photos came out absolutely gorgeous. Im so happy that I chose this location, best deal in Abq!! The bathrooms and parking lot are not far away either. There electricity outlets, paths for privacy, and several trash cans :) plus you rent the location for the entire day so you have a massive amount of time to set up and clean up!

One of the great things about living in Albuquerque is that you can come here every week if you want! Plenty of trail options for all levels. Variety of plants and birds. On my hit list of places to take visitors.

Great for long walks or trail running. Spectacular mountain and city views. You are sharing trails with mountain bikes so early morning is better if you are on foot.

Ch

Entry fee is $1 per vehicle during the week, and $2 per vehicle on the weekends. There is a vehicle gate about a quarter mile before the entrance, so if you arrive too early, youll have to wait for an employee to open up. In my experience, they tend to open about 15 minutes early.Although there are multiple parking areas, they fill up quickly during the summer months, and on weekends throughout the year. Its best to arrive as early as possible for that reason, as well as making for an easier hike during the hot months. There are multiple restrooms, and covered picnic areas. The trails are well marked and well kept. There are many blind corners, and bicyclists abound, so please ensure your pets are leashed. Keep your ears open for bikes and rattlesnakes.Much of the trail system lacks shade until you get further into the hills. Be cautious about afternoon hikes in the summer, and please ensure you and your pets have plenty of water. There is a water fountain and pump at the Pino Trailhead. There are dog waste stations as well.

This place would get 5 stars if it was free. Sucks you have to pay for a public place. Its only $2 per car but if you live in the city, it should be for free. Just like all the other open spaces. Beautiful place. They have picnic tables and once you get in a little farther it gets even more beautiful. Wish I had spent more time there considering I had to pay to get in. Want to visit again so I can my moneys worth next time.

We rented the Kiwanis picnic area for a wedding rehearsal. The area is beautiful with accessible trails and wildlife viewing areas. Plenty of picnic tables and grill space. There is also a little amphitheater around a fire pit that was a perfect place to run through the ceremony. My deposit was returned in full within two weeks of using the site, and everybody I dealt with in making the reservation was great. Highly recommended!
