It was ok, our instructor wasnt that great but another instructor with another group was. Food and drink options are good and yummy, ice cream was SO DELICIOUS. The wood they used is a lot harder than other axe throwing spots so it was super hard to get the axe to stick so thats really why its 5 stars. Everything else is awesome and they also have lawn games and outside patio area!

The Yard is a great place to enjoy a variety of activities while having drinks with friends. Hatchet throwing is fun and satisfying and there are 7-8 lawn games you can choose from as well. Also go to try some Boozy Moo ice cream! Maybe even check out the Chuck Norris! The alcohol infused ice cream is amazing.

Throwing hatchets is a fun new way to spend and evening! But they are slow with service (we only managed to get one round of drinks despite being there 1.5 hours). Maybe thats by design, drinking and throwing axes probably doesnt mix well!

Loved it here!!! Visited for our one year anniversary and had a blast!!! The bartender was oddly enough from the same area we are from just had a great time service and beer was great!! Would definitely recommend to anyone! We happened to just walk in not ever realizing what they offered we ended up doing a 30 minute axe throwing class, so much fun! How unique!! Thank you so much for the fun time! My husband and I both bought T-Shirts!

Come for the axes, stay for the boozy ice cream! We were really impressed with the space here and how well they ensured everyones safety (both from COVID and flying axes). Definitely recommended for anyone interested in throwing axes or trying some of the homemade delicious, liquor-infused ice cream.

I have not been this enamored with a bar in my life, and I encourage you to come visit and leave with the same conclusion. You will not regret it, this place has it all.

The Yard is a new hidden gem in the City of Albany. A must see. The atmosphere is amazing and the service is fabulous. This is not your regular axe bar! Its like being in your dream backyard with all of your favorite people, all your favorite yard games, hatchets with coaches, plus five star bar service. The prices are affordable and many of the items sold are locally owned. The specialty Boozy Moo ice cream is out of this world. This place will exceed your expectations.

Ill start by saying that I have gone axe throwing before and this place seemed more interested in selling you more things than you learning how to successfully throw an axe. The space was nice and they did have a nice drink selection but to go there and throw axes, I wouldnt go back. I was very disappointed.

The place is really cool inside and the boozy ice cream is awesome. A great new addition to the neighborhood. Cant wait to come back and try the axe throwing.

A fun and beautiful place to hang out! Like no other throwing yard or bar in the area. Owners pay attention to every detail including a very creative drink and ice cream menu. You won’t be sorry!

A wonderful place to have a fun and different experience with your friends and family! Good cold beers and wines, very cozy place and very welcoming owners. Me, my husband and our friends had an amazing time, we arrived as complete beginners, but with the help of the good staff always spotting and teaching, we left feeling like real Vikings! I highly recommend this incredible place to anyone who is ready for a fun, unique night full of adrenaline!
