It is a small residential park in a quiet neighborhood in Alameda. It is normally a quiet place to go and think, but I was just passing through this day. There are a few benches, and an unused gazebo in the north section of the park. It is a popular place to gather, especially with the neighborhood high school kids, among other locals. Something to consider for those considering visiting this park.
The place is amazing, and the ambiance can help you to relax and forget all your problems.
Nice central town park. No playground, but wonderful grass for picnics and exercise
Cute, small, and quiet park with play structure for the kiddos. Positioned right in the middle of a neighborhood. Houses on each side of you.
Bench is dedicated to My Dumb Friends, meaning his animal friends, which cannot speak.
Nice shady neighborhood green space to sit, run, play or relax.
Lovely spot...dont tell anyone
Nice little Park, one of many in Alameda. Perfect yet simple to sit and take in lunch.
Great Park to meet up with friends and have a socially distanced bite to eat. I wish the kiosk was used by local bands and other musicians... At least on the weekends.
Nice place to do your morning or afternoon walk. Not crowded and people around are friendly..
Vegetarian and seafood only. Good food, affordable, quiet.
Small charming park will be renamed in the future.
Clean and tree filled but not really much to write home about because it is basically a park that runs between 2 streets in a residential neighborhood so it is about 200 wide by 2 or 3 blocks long and Criss-crossed with paved pathways. No bathrooms, no athletic fields, no basketball courts, no dog park. It is a good place to walk your dog on leash, that is about it. There are picnic tables but because the park is so narrow, It feels like youre eating right next to the traffic.
Ive been taking my little yorkies to this park since 2008. They are now deaf and one completely blind at 15 & 13 years old but they act like puppies when they walk in the familiar grass
This is an adorable park with parking on both sides of it. Its a great place to walk the dog or pop up some shade and hang out on a gorgeous day.
Nice place for a break while riding or walking. 1/2 block from Park Street Business District. Nice Art Shows and such can be found here at Jackson Park. Its happens maybe once or twice a Year
Smoked Out in the Park after Dark in The Park in Jackson Park! Mary on the Breeze makes my life ease....
Largely neglected, with not much to offer — just lawn and pathways, no playground for children, no area for dogs — so it attracts a lot of pot smokers and littering loiterers. The pathway concrete is old, uneven, and crumbling. The gazebo is off limits for use. It needs some TLC to become a neighborhood space that brings the community together.
Cool park, lots to see and explore. Family friendly environment.
The trees and grass are nice. The bathrooms were locked on a summer afternoon and its not a great place for kids with the relatively busy streets on all sides and not much to do.
Open airy two block long park on Park Ave in Alameda . Frequented by all ages, trees, grass, benches abound .
Nice and peaceful place that I stumbled upon during my morning run. Would come again!
Quiet. Clean. Passerbyers were super friendly
Very pleasant. Convenient to the Park St area
A quiet little dog park in the middle of the neighborhood. A good place to take a book on a sunny day.
A wonderful place to stop and enjoy the world along with restrooms gazebo and is wheelchair accessible centered in the middle of the town is a perfect place for picnic which is why they have wonderful little picnic benches I love it so much the only thing I would change is that doesnt have a place for kids to play such as upper structure swings or other but if you dont have children that are super energetic I would suggest you go there or even if you do have energetic children it will automatically make them calm just the most wonderful place in the world
No smoking. Very clean.Nice trees.Dogs friendly.
Great place to walk and sit with kids
Really peaceful to have picnics or just walking.
Amazing calm
Nice park for a walk
Nice clean..calming..quiet
Nice small, shady park.
Small but nice place for the neighborhood!
Jackson Park is a green strip in the center of Park Avenue, South of Encinal Avenue, which offers a quiet place to relax on tree shaded grass. The neighborhood is upscale, but the park is just around the corner from the shops of parallel Park Street. There is a restroom facility, picnic tables and benches. The place is kept clean and well maintained.
My 1st job post college grad, needed SPACE since my sister had been brutally murdered and it served its place for a bit.........I still loved the ambience!
Peaceful
Jackson Park 1 block from Park St. Residential neighborhood, usually find a group of young people hanging out and smoking. Signage clearly stating its a non-smoking area. Otherwise quite and locals walking their dogs on leash.
Gorgeously quiet. And colors in autumn
Great park. Love it
Lovely city park, quiet and safe with picnicing and dog walking going on all the day.
Because I grew up in the Magnolia trees
Pretty nice park.
Great place to walk n observe nature. Weather permitting the locals do Aerobics etc. Lotsa friendly people. Great place to walk your animal companion or just sit and be at one with nature. Great for cruising the big boys and girls. Lotsa kids run n play here.
No place for children to play. Also, smokers generally hangout here.
Very good tree
Nice shady area to relax
No play structure for the little ones, and it is near impossible to notbstep on dog poop here. They shoukd rename it to Dog Poop Park
Two blocks from my house walk the dog around the whole thing
Good taco
Nice place to play
Another great reason to live in Alameda
Not much but a stripe of lawn with two rolls of big trees. Good for the locals but not worth the driving.
Okay park for some shade and a short walk among trees. Lots of traffic and is a popular dog park.
Kids doing weed, drinking, garbage around everywhere, homeless dudes, dog poop, no bathrooms, no play area for kids.Best part lots of grass.
This is a beautiful neighborhood park, not heavily used, but unique in Alameda, nice to walk through our your way to Park Street or South Shore
You dont see very many gazebos these days, but Jackson Park has one!! A living time tunnel back to the 1890s, just like much of Alameda
Awesome
This is a No Parking where I used to get in trouble a lot at because I was young and stupid but now Im a children I just go there just to hang out for a little bit before I leave because the police was all on this on that side but just the East End of Alameda
Relaxing place
Clean and nice
Peaceful.
Its just okay
Drug hill
Love it
Nice and quiet.
Weed lmao
Saturday in the Park I think it wasnt the 4th of July
Shady soot
Nice bench.
Small park. No amenities.
Great place.
