We love Franklin Park! The gorgeous pine trees allow us cool restful spots to sit or nap on the lawn. The sounds of children playing nearby are delightful. Bathrooms are always open and clean. And the location of the park encircled by heritage Alameda family homes is an extra treat.

Well Im sure you dont want to hear the details at my own experience some thirty-odd years ago LOL. The park is changed and it is a lot better for the kids to play at I bring my granddaughter there. We ride our bikes there maybe twice a week. Stay for about 2 to 3 hours.

Such a wonderful, charming gem in Alamedas Gold Coast hood. Wise, mature trees, beautiful big roots that speak to you if you stop and listen. Dog friendly, kid friendly, water fountain, benches + tables...and a baseball diamond. Enjoy!

This park is nice. The play structure is fun for the kids and there are two different ones for older kids and tots. Theres a grassy field to play sports and games. Theres a basketball court as well. Nice benches under trees and picnic tables. Water fountain is usually broke so bring water. Bathrooms arent too bad according to my kid. Lovely flowers around the park. Huge trees next to the park to lay under. Ice cream man usually drives by. You can close the park gates if you have wandering tots. I like this park a lot and so does my kid.

Nice place for kids. Easy to see right off of San Antonio Avenue. Servicing Alameda and the adjoining areas. Small and quaint. Parking on the street is available but it fills up fast. There is a bathroom. We will definitely be going back. Good for groups.

Great neighborhood park and playground. All the play structures are always functional and well maintained. One of the few remaining playgrounds with the old school metal merry-go-round that can either make you hurl chunks or get clocked in the head and leave a memorable lump. Two sections, one for older kids and one for tots plus a small sand pit. Baby bucket and regular swings complete this gem of a playground, not to mention be basketball and tennis courts, plus baseball field.

Franklin Park is small but great for preschool-elementary aged kids. There are two separate play structures, swings, small baseball field, tennis courts, basketball court and small sandbox area. On a sunny day in the middle of the week youll find lots of moms there with their kids and after school ARPD usually runs activities for the local kids. Most of the park has a good amount of shade and the picnic tables are completely in the shade on the backside of the park. Tip: Dont forget to shut the gate on the way in/out so the kids dont run out onto the street.
