Didnt know this part of the park existed (Pioneer). The trails were well marked and had lots to see. There are some nice climbs to get you heart rate up although some of the hills had some pretty loose surfaces. The park as a whole is a nice park. Will go back to do some running there.l

This is a great park. I walk my dog here frequently and its a good challenge. As 1 of 5 parks i frequent in the area, Goodyear Heights offers challenging hills with a parkour course for additional workout exercises. Always feel safe and have witnessed an abundance of wildlife such as deer. The trails are well maintained and wide enough to maintain distance from others. There is a huge open field for kids, but no play ground really. I have yet to take my little one, but will continue to walk the pitbull.

Definitely one of my familys favorite places to go for exercise in a beautiful place, with plenty of space to run and be free. Theres always an abundance of wildlife to observe and even a few information boards posted in regards to the native critters typically seen by the water. Excellent little fishing spot there as well!

I stopped at the park to get out of the house and get some fresh air. The park was clean, and people were playing, reading, exercising, and enjoying their time out as well. Always great to go there!

I love this spot for our bi-annual family reunion. The recent renovations look good. The staff is phenomenal and responds promptly when needed. Our set up, clean premises, were ready for us. The kids love the outdoors. And the adults love the AC. The kitchen is great if food preparation is needed. Biggest challenge is the 365 day requirement for scheduling. Weve lost count of the number of years weve been coming and looking forward to 2021.

Very big metro park! You could spend hours hiking/walking/running here. There are multiple different paths. There are alot of hills so its also a good workout! Not hard to walk, the trails are pretty wide too so youre not right next to people. They have a pond and boardwalk also!

Awesome sledding hill!!. Got there at 6 am today (2/8/2020) and slid for three hours. Tried different sides of the hill and it was fast! Always fastest when the sun is not up. I have a speedometer app on my phone and I was able to hit 25 mph on the slickest section. I live in Massillon and have a couple small hills I usually go on but this winter has been horrible for snow down here. But now that I found the hill at Goodyear Metro Park. I will be back as long as mother nature cooperates. WELL worth the drive. BTW... I dont use those cheap plastic sleds. I only use the sturdy Flexible Flyer Runner sled. Mine is about 30 years old and still strong as nails!

Fantastic Metro Park! There is quite a lot to do here. Ball fields, shelters, several hiking trails, a small lake, sled hill, wide open fields as well as a building with two large rooms that can be rented. And since we are in North East Ohio, the building is heated and can be used is the winter. We have rented it several times during the winter and enjoyed the sled hill nearby. There are many picnic tables in several different shaded areas. Since the park is centrally located, it is a very popular. The Metro Parks do an excellent job maintaining the park.Great place to take the family for a picnic and some hiking or frisbee!

Usually only visit this park once a year for a fall festival. But did the fall hiking spree this year and walked a trail here and it was amazing so beautiful. Walks around a lake and it had a over look over the lake then it has a floating dock to walk over the marsh. So cool the kids love it.

Beautiful views and long trails that are well maintained year round. Fields for sporting events, baseball fields too. There is a small pond and an observation deck that overlooks it that is perfect for bird watching. Restrooms, picnic tables, charcoal grills, waste cans, dog business bags, and a massive rental pavilion on site. Many times a Goodyear Heights Park is listed on the spring or fall hiking spree. And of course there is the Hill, loved by locals as the best sledding hill in Akron. Bring the whole family, even the dogs! Youll have a good day.

I wish I could give this park a 5 star rating. It absolutely deserves it. However it can become quite crowded and it is not on the best neighborhood. I have been running here when Ive passed groups of people that have been smoking marijuana. It lingers through the trails and makes an already difficult jog through the fantastic terrain pretty miserable. Though, for the most part, this is one of Akrons better Metro parks.
