It has been a dream come true to share Crystal Springs with my family again. As a boy I would often swim here. Now the preserve and the buildings are available for rental at fair prices. We have had several family reunions amid the pristine beauty of the spring. The small natural history museum, pavilion, boardwalks and restrooms are well maintained. The hospitable staff take time to customize your experience to ensure that it meets your group’s needs.

We tried calling to see if they were open and operating due to covid, they said “check our Facebook page” so we checked and couldn’t find anything saying they are closed. Just advertising being open. So we assumed (our fault I guess). Well we wasted our vacation day driving 1.5 hours there. They said they are not open to the public (even though we checked everywhere and couldn’t find that). Thanks crystal springs we were looking forward to it, but we won’t be back

One of the most unique places for homeschool outings we have experienced in years. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and personable, and the location is purely subleme in its simplicity. I cant remember a single outing to Crystal Springs Preserve that did not uplift everyone in my family, including my four daughters Grace, Trinity, Faith and Mercy. A true blessing for our family and others in Central Florida. #TGBTG

What an amazing and beautiful place! I scheduled a field trip to Crystal Springs Preserve for our summer camp program and our visit went above and beyond my expectations. Sonya was our guide for the day and she was absolutely amazing with our group! We have a mixed-age inclusion group and her presentation was developmentally appropriate and engaging for all of our kiddos. She encouraged the children to explore and touch many different objects and shared some really cool information with us. We got to meet some live reptiles, took a hike, and had the opportunity to kiss a grasshopper for a year of good luck, lol! This was hands-down, one of our very favorite trips and we hope to return for another visit!

We went here on a field trip with our oldest daughter. It was a wonderful opportunity for her and us. We learned a little bit about survival if we ever get lost in the woods, when drinking water is safe or not, how to build a shelter, etc. Additionally, the whole property that we saw was amazingly beautiful. So much of the natural Florida wildlife was present and not overgrown by invasive species of plants. The two people who acted as guides and teachers were phenomenal. They demonstrated a through understanding of the preserve, Floridas ecosystems, and what part the springs play in those ecosystems. Additionally, they were amazingly kind, generous, and gracious with our sometimes rowdy group of 4th graders. We are think of going back in rhe later spring.

The pictures looked beautiful and we were excited to go, but never again now. you’d think they would say on the website you have to make a reservation of 15 or more......... dumbest thing ive ever heard and the pictures are so deceiving making u think it’s a public place.

This place is so beautiful its a hidden jewel in Florida. Mostly because its private property. If you get a chance to visit you wont be disappointed. If you do come here bring your own trash can or bag they do not provide one for your food.

You can throw parties (Has to have 15 members, must be reserved, and must bring a certified lifeguard) for $25 I think. Very fun field trip. You get use GPS and wonder around the entire reserve unlike Natures Classroom where you have only one space. There is a fishing area and a spring where you can swim it in. (Only if you requested it!) Loved it and I would love to return to that place another time.

Went on a field trip here with a group of high schoolers. Location was beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. All the lab activities offered were top notch and provided valuable hands on experience for Science Students. The Biodiversity sampling was so much fun, and the students couldnt get enough! $25 flat rate for groups of 15-100 cant be beat, and I really admire the goal of this privately owned location to be kept as an affordable educational resource. I would love to come back, and I would even recommend this for a large group of friends if youre interested in learning about the natural environment in FL for a day.Make sure you schedule a reservation before you show up! This is a privately owned location and you cannot just walk in for a tour.
