This was an awesome historical museum with knowledgeable staff and a lot to take in. My 9 year old is a big WWII buff and he was over the moon with all the displays and artifacts. For me it was great to hear about the local ties to the community and the role of the city in the conflict. The museum covers military history right up to 9-11 and is a great way to spend some time on a Saturday. Also make sure you ask about the book and comics that are offered for sale. Awesome reads and cool souvenirs. Museum is run completely on donations so please make sure to have a little cash on you to keep this wonderful local spot available for everyone
Me and my dad came to visit and everyone was welcoming and overall it was very neat to see everything there. And since my dad was in the Navy I learned a few things that day to. Also recommend donations when you visit to keep them going.
Open Saturday only 10-4. Admission by voluntary donation. Plan on 1 hour minimum, 2 maximum. Very much oriented towards actual artifacts and objects than pictures and signs.WWII, Korea, Vietnam, plus various specific units (10th Mountain, etc.). Several videos running associated with specific display. The building is restored a WWII infirmary, located on a WWII airport used for training.
Small but with a really nice collection of items from different campaigns.
Very nice display of our military history.
Make sure to plan on being there for some time. Extensive collections and excellent staff will give private tours or self guided if you wish. No cost but donations are very welcome and much appreciated.Handicap accessible. Amazing. Staffed by veterans whom can tell you what most medals and patches represent. Will definitely be back.
There was a bunch to see and the museum was well organized. The boys had a great time.
This place is amazing! It has many movies about the things there. They have WWII, the Vietnam War, and the Korean war.
We enjoyed this More than the World War Museum in New Orleans!!!!
Very nice military museum with displays of items we had not seen before.
Was great to visit with the WWII vets
It is a great museum to take your children to. Its not very big but it has a lot of ww1 and 2 displays as well as a viet nam and Korea displays. Good for home schoolers. Open only on Saturdays 12 to 4 pm.
Nice small museum. Has a lot for its size.
Very nice we enjoy the walkthrough and conversation nice place
Being a retired Navy family we really enjoyed this museum. Its a small local military location but the museum and its wonderful volunteers do a wonderful job of retelling military history.
Loved this place, great volunteers.
Nice little WWII Museum. Some very cool artifacts and a C-47 WWII Cargo/Troop Plane out front!
Theres also a museum of old military stuff and history
Met some wonderful veterans who shared their stories with me and both World War II and the Korean War. Met their wives too and they shared with me their recipes. Its always nice visiting the Zephyrhills Museum and attending their commemorative events.
Its a small museum. It does have some interesting displays and information from WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War. However, it was really warm (in February).
A great place
