We took our family to the Park Amphitheater & we are glad we did. The area was clean, well kept, and family friendly. The landscaping was beautiful as well. We were able to look at the stunning sunflowers up close...well, as close as the bees wanted us to get. I added some photos of them for you to see. Great experience! Highly recommend!
Very clean had lots of fun with the little one. Seemed like everyone had the same idea to allow their kids to run around ad just be a kid and have some fun. Great idea and beautiful day.
Nice private area perfect for a wedding venue or party.
This is a great little park. Its a favorite fishing spot for the kiddos and is my go to spot for a quick break when riding around the lake!! The bathrooms are usually locked but they do have a couple Porta-Potties available 24/7.
It really is a nice park with a nice pond to walk around, playground and picnic areas and a separate skate park.
Its a nice place to fish and have small parties at and also a gud place for kids to play at. So gud place for all ages
Very nice place. We werent actually under the Ampitheater, but were walking past to the wetlands area. The only recommendation would be better garbage cans because it looked like someone had a party the previous day and threw all of the trash away, but animals got into the trash and scattered it all around the trash bin area.
This park is very beautiful. A friend hosted her graduation party there and it was the perfect spot.
It could be sooooo much nice with periodic maintainace. It was a WOW park for the first couple years. The wood parhways over the water are rotten and unsafe and the many signs along the nature water trail that are full of info are white squares now that can not be read at all. People visuting our state see the signs for the park along the hiway and arrive to disappointment. We are looking pretty sad and Tulsa is looking grand.
My grandbabies and I had a fabulous day .
Clean, quite, great inclusive play ground, fishing, great walking path, next to a lake & skate park. My whole family enjoys coming here. I do recommend this park.
Amazing place to take the kiddos
It is a nice place. A little dirty, but bearable.
Great park for all ages! My kids loved it! Just wish people had more respect for the info things. There was writing on most of them.
Great place! Very clean and the porta-potties there smell fresh and clean. There is beautiful scenery, along with tons of land and a fun area to play in. All kids of all ages would enjoy it. There is plenty of hungry little ducks there if your children like feeding ducks. However, the ducks dont bother or attack you. There is plenty of space with side walk and a bridge above the duck lake. Would recommend.
The Route 66 Park Amphitheater is nice park for kids. They have playgrounds, slides, swings and others. Their bbq grilling spot and shelter for picnic. Close to the Amphitheater there is lake. You can fish in that lake. There is statue of father of Route 66, Cyrus Avery. The park has a nice, serene environment.
Great place and short walking paths.
Nice open venue with ample power supply. Lot of wasps nests.
I love this park. My daughter loves this park. However, I advise anyone reading this to not visit on a Sunday. Not only is the park usually jam-packed crowded, but I had to leave about 30 minutes after arriving due to too many parents not watching their children. I had to break up a fist fight between two brothers, ages 7 and 10, while their parents were in a van in the parking lot. (Yes, it was an actual fist fight with the bigger brother picking up his little brother by the shirt and slamming him into the ground). A 3 year old pinched his finger in one of the playgrounds toys and was bleeding a little bit. Again I tried to find the parents but I couldnt watch him and my two year old alone. I dont know if he found them or not. A 7 year old girl accidentally flipped her swing next to us and broke her arm. Her brother was PULLING on it trying to get her up. I rushed over and told him to never pull on a broken arm then asked where their parents were. He pointed to the gazebo about 200 feet away from the park. I had my sister-in-law who thankfully showed up watch my daughter as I escorted her to her mom (I tried explaining what happened but she couldnt understand English). I was on edge the entire time I was there and it felt like pure chaos. Dont go on Sundays unless you are willing to take on the role of parents who should be watching their kids. There needs to be monitors of some type (officers maybe?) if the park can legally be that crowded. Again I LOVE this park, we try to go twice a week after work, but I strongly advise to not go on Sundays.
Fun place to go have fun
My kids love to play here so much and they have a walking trail around the little lake
The view was amazing
I was here Sunday at Stump Church.
Great little park, I dont live close anymore, but used to live close and would run there everyday. Paved sidewalk all the way around and plenty of parking.
Great pond to fish at, Bass and Panfish are plentiful and the turtles are cool. My only issues are that theres a LOT of weeds in the water, the fish are stunted (big panfish hide in a certain area but anywhere else and their tiny, catfish are harder to come by and theyre tiny. Maybe consider stocking a few big Bass and Catfish). The baitfish are cool, seen a penny size shad and schools of tiny minnow-like fish. But there have been muktiple times that Ive seen either a Beaver or Muskrat, which is very bad for the fish. The Beav-Rat would eat the fish and decimate the pond in no time. Trapping it and releasing it somewhere else would work, also maybe adding a spawning structure or brush pile would add more baitfish and panfish. There are some photos of some fish on a Facebook Page called Fishing With Friends, they have kids go fishing and fight bullying but they always catch the smal fish. Maybe having a trophy fish catch would really make it a popular pond. I love to fish there and theres always nice people fishing. There may or may not be carp and/or striped/hybrid bass there too but Ive never caught them. Adhesion nice pond for a little outing but if youre looking for trophy size, consider a different pond. The photos here are a sample of the fish, the bass are always light, always and the panfish are tiny.Edit: these are some pictures of the fish me and my brother have had.
Very clean park. Restrooms were locked when we went but several well maintained port-a-potties available. Paved trails, pond, playground, covered pavilion with large grill as well as informative plaques telling the history of Route 66 by state. Approximately 1/4 mile from Lake Overholser.
Nice park and during the warmer weather, its usually packed..
Outside bathrooms where really nasty.
It was Huge!!! Prefect place for the Cross country meet.So many people came togetherIt was beautiful with the lake close by.I would like to visit there again
Great place to take pictures!
Beautiful place, spent the day taking pictures. Wonderful walking path. Looked like they were making it larger. Plenty of room to park my 40ft motorhome!
Love this place .. really nice.. just wish they would put new plaques up around the wetlands part
Enjoy the play ground or feeding the ducks or just enjoy the view or take a walk.
Its fun for me and my brother to play.
Neat park and massive playground. Cool walkway through a wetlands reserve. The restrooms appear permanently closed, portables only. Rt 66 features are well done and very informative.
Great info about history of Route 66. Great place to walk. Could use more restrooms, only complaint.
Good place to hangout with family, friends even by yourself just to chill and relax a bitreview the lake, have cookouts, or a couple sandwiches and sodas .*******Excellent for events ******This lake park dose rent space for eventsOne year I want to a friends weddingIt was so Beautiful the couple had got married in the park by the lake.
It is ok to go too, usually have to get there early if you want the pavilion, or people wont give it up. nice place to take kids to play or fish
Great place
Well equipped large playground with landscaped area and pond and picnic area. Family friendly with area depicting Route 66 history. Popular attraction for geese and other birds and great for dog walks. Also has area for skateboarding.
Nice park
Big park with big playset for kids. There are trails to walk and ponds u can fish in.
We love this park ! Its really big and clean. I take my son once a week and Ive seen volunteers cleaning at least 3 times.
Nice, good fishing, not busy
My kids and I live the park but it is ways covered in creepy spider webs. Makes littles a bit nervous to be around. But it is a nice park.
Underrated park. Really nice area with good walking paths.
This park is on West side of Lake Overholser. It is a great place for a walk (with the dog too), picnic, fishing, flying a kite or RC. They have a facility to rent with mini stage like seating (concrete). Appears to be expanding. Take the kiddos.. They have a great playground too.
Clean and pet friendly! :-)
Decent park, lots of geese and ducks around the pond. The black top walking path has deteriorated a bit, quite a bit of volunteer weeds in the cracks. Extensive play area for kids. The park is in the middle of adding what appears to be ball diamonds. Nice covered area for eating with permanent grills on-site.
The park was very good it was a nice day but the restroom or awful very dirty smelly
Huge and beautiful. Great to walk and bike around.
Kool place nice next to the lake awesome lots to do for the kids
Beautiful park. Went to Waterlantern Festival at this location and was wonderful
Excellent place to let the kids play with a beautiful backdrop to enjoy the sunshine. Cant wait to see more additions coming in the near future.
Great views. Room for play and playground
I just LOVE walking around this beautiful place
Such a pretty park. Nice for walking and for letting the kids play.
Hands down one of the nicer parks near us. well maintained and plenty of space even when its packed.
Needs a splash pad for the hot summer days!
We went to the park for the Oklahoma lantern festival and it was amazing. Wonderful music, food trucks, and atmosphere. Would like to go back for the biking trail by the water.
Great place to hang out with friends and family.
Beautiful ! Wonderful ! Marvelous !Nice place to take a family, or have a gathering.
Great place to walk your dog! Some of the areas need to be refurbished, its s great park, just needs a little OKC love!
The trail is very nice. They need to get rid of the goose poop!
Its so beautiful
It was very windy the day that I was there. But the view is nice. We found a huge rabbit in one of the stalls. My son made a pet of it.
Nice park with a hard top walking trail, pond, nice parking area and it appeared that they were adding to it. I gave it 4 stars because it is a small park.
Awsome place to come and relax by yourself or with your family
Love this park
Fun park. Great for family time. Beautiful setting by the lake.
Such a great place to go
Very beautiful safe,kid friendly
Handicap accessible. However, it is super windy here. Not much shelter from the wind. The track is good for walking because you can see the whole loop from just about any vantage point.
A wonderful place to listen to music! We love being here!
This is a great park i take my son all the time!
Kids love this park always nice walking trails.
Used to be a really nice park but people dont pick up after themselves. Plus the city doesnt mow and keep the grounds up!!!
Great place to take the fam. My husband loves to fly his RC planes here.
Outhouse is very clean. Plenty of room for kids to run around in. Like it very much

Adore. The lake is beautiful and peaceful.
Really nice place to go for a walk.
