Me and my boyfriend come here multiple times a week, as were part of the regal unlimited program. While the seats and screens are not as nice as tinsel town it is far cheaper and the staff is great. I prefer also coming here as I find there are less people who are disruptive. 18$ for unlimited movies is also light years better than tinsel towns 10$ for one ticket a month membership.
Its been a while since we went to a movie at Cinema South. Theyve updated the seats and they are a lot more comfortable. The matinee price wasnt too bad either.
Can see movies here not played at other venues. Comfortable seating and fresh popcorn. Staff could smile once and awhile but not unfriendly. Very clean with good sound too.
Clean nice place friendly staff
Older movie theater, but still fine for watching a new flick. It is less crowded than the other, updated theater, so it is easier to get tickets for newest releases. Prices are comparable to other theater in town though.
Great staff! New/newer seats and good location. And the new Regal Unlimited plan is Amazing and only $18.00 a month. If you see 2 or more movies at Regal theaters a month then you should enroll.
Good theater! The employees are very nice and the place is kept clean. The only reason I dont give it 5 stars is I wish the screens were bigger. Theyre not as big as the more modern theaters, like Tinseltown down the street, and that is often times enough for me to relent and go somewhere else. Other than that, though, this is a good movie theater.
Cinema South never disappoints. Ive seen countless movies here. My parents took me here, and now I take my kids. My favorite movie theater.
Reposting this after a response from the corporate owner. There isnt much choice if we want a theater that is near by. Can you say monopoly? This place was cool back in the 80s when I saw Platoon on screen 1. The sound blew me away.Today? Prices are absurd: $50 for a family of 4 to see a matinee show.Things to improve the experience:Better food optionsBetter drink optionsAlcoholWait staffStadium seatingIntermission!
Movie was great.. building was good.. price was ok.. not a bad place to go see a movie
Decent theater, great movie quality and sound. Seats were comfortable and on a good level with the screen.
I love movie nights just wish it didnt cost an arm and a leg!! But over all good times
Clean.. Not busy. Waaaay too many commercials and previews. 15 minutes before designated 2130 showtime, then an additional 30 minutes before the movie started at 2200, 30 minutes after published movie start time. So 45 minutes total for a 2 hr movie. Ridiculous. Small selection for treats and slightly overpriced. Dont think I will be returning anytime soon.
A decent movie. Tickets 17 dollars for 2 tickets 2 medium pops 2 medium popcorn 29 dollars. 46 dollars for a 86 minute movie and 20 minutes of commercials. This was priceless. I guess that is why there was only 4 people in 230 showing
Seats could be more comfortable. However the theater is always clean and the staff friendly. I will never get used to paying $18 for a large popcorn & a bottle of water though. I think that is obnoxious.
Smelled so bad! Like a nursing home. The whole movie was horrible due the to the smell. And the bathrooms were gross. First and last time there. We drove out of our way to go there.
Its a fine theater, but I cant give it more stars unless they renovate to keep up with the nearby Cinemark Tinseltown. Pros: staff are always friendly, an excellent reward program if you sign up, and fairly large selection of movies. Cons: do not serve alcohol, do not have assigned seating, theaters are sometimes dirty.
I was called disgusting and the employee threatened me when I went back to get my mothers coat. Never in a million years would I think someone would say those awful things to me like my dad. I am a survivor of child abuse and now I get abused again as an adult. I will never go back there.
Pretty cool you can sign up for unlimited movies for around $18 a month
Its a movie theater. They have a good movie selection. But boy oh boy you need to get there early if you didnt purchase your tickets ahead of time. The line was out the door. They had one person inside at the end of the concession counter selling tickets. Luckily I was early AND I prepurchased my tickets. We decided to buy popcorn & drink. We were being taken care of when a woman walked up & wanted help. He stopped helping us & switched to her. Excuse me. As it turned out, she didnt want to wait in the ticket line & wanted him to help her purchase tickets on her phone.
Just average as far as a theater goes. Prices average, seating a little above average but not even close to the Tinseltown seats. Those are the best! Floors were nasty when we were there. Spilled popcorn everywhere. Needs a little more attention to detail.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Cinema South. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The auditorium was clean and comfortable.
Nice, the place was clean, and the staff were really friendly!
Took my wife and son to see the mule. We got the Senior discount but I was surprised that they did not offer a military discount for our son who is active duty. Better viewing experience at Tinseltown which had recliners to watch the movie that we saw there.
Great clean theater bathrooms were clean people were kinda snoby but other than that great place
Overall nice theater. The only thing holding it back from a 5 star is it needs a remodel and bad. They did put new seats in a couple of years ago, but left the rest of the theatre the same. The competition down the street now has it all. Hopefully Regal do the same.
The 80s called and they want their theater back! This Cineplex hasnt had a major upgrade since it was built. The seats are new and the sound and projection is OK but many of the auditoriums are still the little narrow screens from the 80s. If you are watching a quieter movie and a loud picture is next door, youre going to hear the explosions too.
I am very happy with the visit to the theater. I wish I could go more often. Being a senior citizen with mobility issues, i really enjoyed the seating. It was most comfortable for me. You might want to see that, films senior would like to see, be more in the front of the theater. Thanks and I will be coming back.
Dated and unforgettable movie going experience however very low moviegoing traffic. Seating was comfortable.
MoVIE HAD TOO MUCH PREVIEW MAKE LATE FOR BELLERIA I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE FOREVER
Went to go see bad boy with the boys.. a good movie
Good, Captain Marvel. Courteous professional staff. Clean facilities. A bit pricey but arent all theaters expensive?
Asked for a hot dog. They had no buns. Theater smelled.
Matinee prices are way better. Except for the two of us, the theater was empty. Popcorn and drinks were a little pricy, but hey, arent they always? See you next time, at the movies!!
We went to see A DOGS WAY HOME and loved it!!! The cinema was clean and the service was great. Restrooms were even clean but we went to the matinee.
Super helpful staff - I wasnt really expecting to be able to change showtimes for pre-purchased tickets, but I thought I would at least ask. The two people I spoke with were wonderful, and we are grateful.Thank you so much to everyone for being friendly and understanding - A+ customer service!
Quite and enjoyable always up to date on movies and with the new regal pass we can watch as many movies as we want for a low monthly price
I like it here but I wish they would have more leg room and seats like tinseltown
I have never in my life seen such hateful and volatile human beings since my abusive ex husband. Never will I ever go back to this place.
Movie theater is okay. Needs a little update and cleaning. Bathroom was a mess! Too long of a wait for tickets. Only one person as cashier to get tickets. Three people selling popcorn. More people in line for movie tickets than to get popcorn. In fact two just standing around. Your dealing with the public at least look like you care!!At least the movie was excellent!!
There movie theater is very clean also before the movie starts they will play a trivia game.
Its what you expect from a movie theatre. Seating has been updated. Concessions are expensive. Staff was good for the minimal interaction had. I have a choice of local theatres, but I go where the movie I want to see is playing.
A very nice theatre. Usually not busy for matinees, and in my opinion, is the best time to go, as the prices are lower. They have several theatres that are bigger and more comfortable. Thats where they show mostly the 3D films and any blockbusters. They have an extensive snack bar. Expect inflated prices. And women beware...you purse may be checked for hidden contraband. Like bringing in your own snacks, I assume. There are men and womens bathrooms. And a few arcade games. They do have a rewards card program.
Greatest movie theater ever
Good but Pricey
Still a good place to catch a movie. While this theater doesnt have the recliner chairs the old ones are still comfy although sometimes stiff. As far as snacks go I shouldnt have to tell you that they are still expensive
Regal Cinema South is a very clean movie experience. They have top-notch movies. It is very comfortable as they have rocking like chairs. It is equipped with surround sound and everything from food two good movies is present. If you are looking to watch a good movie, This Is The Place To Come.
Older theater but they have kept up with it. Interior is clean and seats rock and more leg room. Friendly staff as well.
Nice place but only one person at the ticket counter. Had to wait in line for about 15 minutes. Did not go to the refreshment area. Movie was good easy to see and stars were ok
We had pre-bought tickets to see Creed with our family, but the kids were delayed and arrived at the theatre when it was almost over...one of the attendants graciously exchanged the tickets and the boys are watching it now. Just wanted to say thank you!
Great place great food, great movie experience
Went to a 2:30 matinee. The staff was efficient, but not necessarily friendly. The seats were extremely comfortable. Theater and restrooms were clean. Parking was sufficient.
Service was great! My only complaint is that I can see the same movies at the nearby Cinemark theatre and get a better atmosphere for the cost.
Great movie little over priced food but has food that other movie dont have
I like the place although Ive only been there twice but overall a good experience each time Ive been to this particular movie house
Didnt feel safe!no lighting in lobby, either
Nice place, clean, never crowded. The only reason it gets this 3 stars is cause its small.
Good place but too expensive they food or candys
This location is clean but dated. Staff is friendly but lacking in good quality customer service. The theater is so old that in theater 2 where we were on 12/8/18 for a film, the ceiling vent towards the front of the theatre on the right (if looking at the screen) rattles like a so and so during the quiet parts of the film. What a waste, to see a good drama without all the special effects hoopla, only to have the audio aspects of it mutilated by a rattling vent off and on for 2 hours.Never again.
When I go to a show give me a comfy seat...these were good but nothing like the lazy boys at Tinseltown!
Great service. Just needs more comfortable seating
Wished They Offered Discounts. Nice Theater
Need better seats! Tinseltown is better
Allot of available movie showings as well as nice seats. Did have an issue with seat numbers being improperly marked, but overall a good viewing experience. If the staff gets the seating bugs worked out, I would give five stars.
Great theater and always good movie options. Plus, its very safe on the weekends, they have a cop on duty in the lobby!
Went to see child’s play, drove 20 mins there, I get there and they tell me they canceled it last min so they could show lion king instead, no apologies just tough luck for me, acted like I should’ve magically figured that out myself
Nice theatre. Staff is good unless you are buying popcorn...then its hit or miss.
Hopefully this theater gets a nice upgrade soon. Regal always seems to be behind the curve. Tinseltown down the street has a much smaller selection of movies, which is the main reason regal thrives, but has a much more comfortable, and quality viewing experience. I still gave it 3 stars because they seem to have nice staff, a larger, though smaller, screen quantity, and a larger selection of accessible time slots. Movie theater going needs an upgrade. Moviepass has allowed me to see a few more movies recently, and the product seems pretty innovative. I recommend trying it out if you can.
Very clean. Good movie selection for all ages at various times. Down fall is front of theater is way to close to screen will strain neck trying to watch movie. Set in the middle or rear of theater for more comfortable viewing.
Bad boys 4 life
Very nice facility, food and drink prices crazy though!
Just saw a great movie, Overcome
Newly redone seats. Nice sound.
Great customer service and an amazing theatre. I have started frequenting there for my must see movies
Pro-Friendly, clean, centrally located, always a good selection of movies. Con-the seats are not made for shorter people. I feel like Lily Tomlins Edith, when I sit in them.
Awesome new chairs
We went on a Monday to see a late showing of Black Panther. There was nobody in the theater with us, which surprised me. Marvel movies are always full. It was nice having the place to ourselves and not having to worry about telling my 6yo to be queit every two minutes.
Filthy and tried to offer my mother a hotdog without a bun!
Saw two 3-D movies and each time I had to leave theater to tell them it was blurry and they had to go switch something. Then I swear the A/C came on as I felt cold air blowing on me. It was cold. So very expensive. But it is clean
Had a wonderful time on a date night.
Nice theater. It would have been better if they lowered the lights in theater 1 during the movie, but overall it was nice!
Immaculately clean theater. We always have a good evening here.
Five stars because I still love movie theaters, although you could tell just like every theater said its not in his heyday
Im a crown member. they treat me like royalty. exclusive offers, discounts on snacks, sometimes even a free movie ticket.plus they partner with all major movie ticket apps. more deals & dicounts. Friendly knowledgeable staff.
Show was good and Regal card will help you earn free movies
Dragon Ball Super: Broly was so good bro
Loved it, a movie with my honey and then dinner. Great date night with my king.
Saw Deadpool. It was awesome. Comfy seats and good popcorn, all I could really ask for.
Great Movie with Granddaughters and Wife
Went and saw Overlord. Prices are on par with the other theaters. However, the seats were something to be desired. I guess Im so used to Tinseltowns recliners for basically the same price.
Good theater. Many choices
Great theatre. I enjoyed the place being there for the first time. Will definitely visit again.
Really enjoy this theater now. They have done quite a bit of work remodeling and looks fresh & clean. Nice seats too. Downside is price.
Theatre was clean and seats were comfortable
Its a super old school theater, but as long as you know that going in its perfectly fine.
It’s 11:20 and I still have an hour and a half into my movie and they won’t let me refill my drink or get more popcorn
Nice and clean...
I drive 30 miles to see a movie before I will pay $10+ to see it on low resolution projectors that have used the same bulb for 300% of its functional life (dim! dim! Image!)Seriously, Im not being picky -- its just hard to enjoy when my very average home system with 5.1 blows their theater experience out of the water.4k digital, bright image, and decent speakers are a MUST if you want my money.
