So magical and hidden, super nice to get away and discover a new place. Great for kids!
Located within carbon canyon regional Park there is a redwood grove of 240 trees. Very easy short walking trail takes you to an amazing Grove of redwood trees. Highly recommend going if youve never been before its the only redwood Grove in all of southern California.
Its fairly small but still worth seeing. The trail to the redwood is very easy. The path is fairly wide. The trail is dog friendly. Definitely recommend leaving your dog on leash since there are plenty of cyclists on the same trail. The trail is easy enough for young kids as well. Stroller accessible for the most part, although Id recommend using the sports stroller.
I loved this little grove. It’s so cute and it’s not far off of the main park area. It’s also very cool compared to the rest of the trail, so it’s quite refreshing. It is definitely worth checking out in my opinion.
The redwood grove is very sweet. Nice little path through beautiful trees - smells soooo good.
Very pretty place. Dont bring any sort of light modifier if youre a photographer who doesnt have a permit to shoot in OC parks or theyll ticket you.
It was nice and quite when we went. Not too crowded but then again it was in the middle of the week. Our 2 and a half year old also had a good time. Rare for her on outings like this because she is such a home body.
Great park with lots of activities for you to do, watch out for the duck poop
Pretty cool that there are Redwood trees in Southern California. The temperature is very cool but the trail to get there is dusty and hot. Dont get a heat stroke!!
Peaceful, like being in the mountains, but just minutes from my house
Its a great hike going into carbon canyon park from prospect in yorba linda.
Quick walk around. Easy trail with some shade. You can bring your dog but on a leash. Watch for horses and rattlesnakes.
If youve never been here, its well worth a visit. Just an amazing sight and so peaceful to sit amongst these beauties
Great tall shady trees.
It is a historical place and is the start of giant trees like the Sequoia. Peaceful and good to relax.
Beautiful park. Beautiful redwoods and scenery.
Sheerly a place of beauty!
Who knew, a grove of redwoods hidden away in the back 40 of Carbon Canyon Regional Park. Planted with leftover seedlings from a bank promotional giveaway in the seventies. My how theyve grown!
Inside the park is nice but the outer trails arent very shaded and green. Good pic nic area, okay trails.
Beautiful trail through the redwoods, perfect for a date with my wife
The redwoods are a refreshing respite here in SoCal. Read all the information plaques posted as you walk or ride through. The temperature drops 10-15 degrees by natural cooling of the redwoods. The redwoods are a natural wonder for us here in SoCal!
Great walk, clean, lots of benches, beautiful plants and wild animals. 5 dollars to enter ! Great tennis courts.
Great local place. Very artificial, but beautiful in an OC kind of way.
Easy hike while I waited for my car to be finished at the tire shop. Took about twenty minutes to walk from big o tires. Trees were great, I loved the smell.
Fun, short hike. Nice and cool under the canopy
Easy trail. Very nice environment. The red woods are small compare to the N. CA. But it provide delightful taste of tue redwood forest feeling. Definitely will come back.
Good trail. Beautiful Redwood Trees.
Wild life in Carbon Canyon Reginal Park.
Definitely recommend this place for taking some walks and enjoying some time with family at the park.
Unspoilt park with a marked trail through a giant redwood grove, 4-acre lake & colorful playground.
Unspoilt park with a marked trail through a giant redwood grove, 4-acre lake & colorful playground.
Great place for a light stroll. A bit difficult if you try to get there by GPS alone. Just search for Carbon Canyon Park. Ask the Ranger for best area to park in.
Its a nice little spot of redwoods. Very chill.
Easy walking to the Redwood trees.
The hike out to the grove is a nice walk in spring. Even when its dusty and hot, the grove is a nice, cool oasis.
Easy walk to the redwood grove. Once their spend time in the quiet surrounded by magnificent trees.
A cool resting spot after a long ride
Nice little place to go for a walk.
Awesome views, great walk for whole family and pets!
It was a great walk. They warned about rattlesnakes and we saw one walking in! Other than that awesome!
A little hike, but they have the red woods and reindeers for the family during Christmas. They kept this hike interesting because they had Christmas Gnomes posted all the way till u get to the Redwoods. It was a very entertaining way to spend a Saturday. My kids lived the petting zoo and the arts and crafts. I recommend that if u didnt go this year to make sure to get tickets next year.
Dont have to drive up north to see redwood tree. Carbon canyon so peaceful
Love it. We saw a lot of bunnies and squirrels.
Cute place to walk, also kinda a starter place for photography i suppose.
Amazing park worth the time
Interesting part of the park. Must See
Beautiful! The hike was not bad.
Went to check out the Redwood Grove. Google Maps gave me the wrong directions. Go to Carbon Canyon Regional Park. I was sent to the other side by homes.
I almost didnt want to review this just to try and keep it a secret a little longer but its an amazing spot. Its a quick hike from the parking lot on a dusty trail at times but worth the walk
If you’re looking for a hiking spot in North Orange County, I would recommend this trail. The trees are only a small portion of the potential adventures you can have. There’s a trail that goes to Carbon Canyon regional park, and if you’re feeling fit, the initial trail down to the redwoods is steep and makes for a good workout. There are water fountains among the trees to fill up your bottle too.
Nice little grove to get out of the heat.
Special shaded peaceful. Trees are 100 ft tall but only 40 years old.
$5 all day parking. Clean. Dirt trails. Not too crowded. Redwoods are alright.
This grove is an unexpected delight in this area. The temperature drops and the humidity increases as soon as you get close. Plus the trees are bueatiful.
Super nice place!
Nice and easy hike. Mostly flat and easy to get to.
Beautiful area. Worth the short walk. The walk to get her is very easy and there are many different species of plants along the way to see.
Loved it. Its like being teleported to the redwood forest. Quick lil hike and your there surrounded by beautiful shade provided by the trees.
Nice family park
An amazing trail!! Very peaceful and beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful! Cool temperature. I loved it.
D best
Beautiful! Such a cool little spot.
So beautiful, so majestic, so calming
Who knew this was here!?!? Nice hike on Yorba Linda horse trails, go around the corner and down the trail and you are in redwoods! Love this!
When you dont want to drive up north to see Redwood trees!
Great place for a hike, OCs hidden redwood gem
Very relaxing atmosphere
Good hike trail
The directions led us essentially to a suburban neighborhood. We ended up going to the park and paying the entry fee, but the actual trail and parking lot was closed. Confusing and disappointing!
The most breathtaking sight. Redwood trees in Brea. I specifically took my fiance here as a surprise and he was floored!
Its a great place to see redwoods rarely found in SoCal. A nice place to walk if its not too hot. The Redwood Grove was planted from seed in the 1970s donated leftover seeds froma local bank give away. - - - There are larger Redwoods and Sequoia near Mr. Baldy on the Ice House trail N. of Claremont, CA, when sometimes parking can be problematic on busy weekends -- at times its best to visit on a weekday.
Very well maintained and a beautiful place to visit. There are lots of placards with information about the trees and the grove itself. There are a few benches to sit on and enjoy the view.
Quiet, pleasant and not hard to find.
Its fresh smells great and relaxing
Nice place for a walk
Secluded patch of redwood trees. Temperatures about 10 deg cooler than the trail itself. Benches scattered around the Grove
Amazing grove$
Nice easy hike. Took the Dog & she loved it too!
Nice simple little hike
I love this place. The hiking trail is mostly flat and easy, but watch out for poison ivy (which is clearly marked) and red ants. Most of the trail is sandy dirt and there is hardly any shade, but once you get to the redwood trees everything changes and it is just beautiful. Plus these are probably the only redwoods in Southern California so its definetly worth the trip.
Redwoods were amazing and serenity is clearly present in this lovely area
