Isabelle goes there and Is amazing so I look up to her alot
This place is awesome, my daughter is having a blast. She begged to take gymnastics, and I am so glad I let her try it. Everyone here is very nice and professional, and the gym is huge with lots of equipment and space. There is a nice big lobby and viewing area for the spectators.
I dont know much about gymnastics, but my daughter loves her classes, and I am enjoying watching her learn something new. Her teacher is very enthusiastic, encouraging and keeps my daughter excited about coming to class each week. Thats about as good as it gets.
What a fun place. Went to a birthday party here, and my daughter had a blast. She is now asking to take gymnastics, so they are letting her do a free trial class to see if she likes it. I wish I was younger and could do a class, it looks like so much fun.
My daughter is in the 3yo class. She learns so much and really enjoys it. They do skill evaluations a couple times a year to make sure they are placed in the best class for them. We love this place!
My son loves the open play time, and I love that I can just pay as I go. He loves being about to climb and swing, and I love that its not on my furniture. Great way to get out some energy without destroying my house.
My daughter just started gymnastics this year, and so far she is loving it. I must say I am pleasantly surprised at how well she is catching on, and how hard she is working to get new tricks. I wanted to get her into an activity, and so far this has been a good choice.
We have been going to GASG for almost 5 yrs, and have known Coach Becca for over 9yrs. We just LOVE the coaches, and classes offered. Both of my girls are always so excited for class, and my 3rd is about to start the Tiny Stars (mom&me) class. Even when we are not taking classes we enjoy Open Play. I really cant say enough good things about GASG.
I have 2 words to describe this place: CHAOTIC and AVARICIOUS.CHAOTIC: Events are disorganized. They want parents to volunteer but no one give directions to parents of what to do.AVARICIOUS: Definition of AVARICIOUS. : greedy of gain : excessively acquisitive especially in seeking to hoard riches. Wanting money, trying to get money, strongly desiring money. Sometimes it seems like money is the only thing they think about. So there is this monthly tuition in the hundreds of dollars. In addition to that, there is registration fee every year in other hundreds of dollars. In addition to that, there is mandatory summer camp, also in hundreds of dollars. This summer camp is held during the month that we are still paying the monthly fee. So, it is called double charging. And the, there is this mandatory parent volunteer during meet. If parents dont volunteer, they will be fined. In addition to volunteering time, parents must also donate food for concession. The profit for the sale is kept by the gym.
What can I say, this place is great, they have something for all my kids, gymnastics for my daughter, ninja zone for my son and open play for my youngest. So close to home, and so many great options.
I loved gymnastics when I was younger, and now my daughter is loving it as well. This gym is so much like the gym center where I took classes when I was younger. It feels like family, from the friendly receptionist who knows everyone who comes in, to the coaches who cant wait to tell me what my daughter learned that day. I am so glad to be sharing the gymnastics experience with my daughter.
This is our first year in gymnastics and our daughters first year at GASG. We have Coach Krystal and she is amazing! My daughter loves all the friends she has made there and her coach. She is so excited to go to class each week and hopes to one day be like the older kids that she sees flipping on the high beam!
We are so excited for the new Ninja program. We came to one of the earlier workshops, and now we were given a free month of class because its a new program. My son is so excited, he watches American Ninja Warrior all the time. This is a perfect activity for him.
We have been attending Georgia All Stars since around May of this year. My son (age 3) always loved his first class with a coach who is no longer with this gym. However when Summer session started - we enrolled him with little understanding that there would be a summer camp also going on. We asked to withdraw him as there were too many people in the gym. The staff was accommodating and even gave me a credit for the remainder of the month I wouldnt be returning. However. We enrolled him in a class with Coach Emma for the current season (Fall 2018) at first my son was the only student in the class. He seemed to get along with Emma fine. Slowly more students joined until finally this last tuesday 9/11 my mother took him to class and this is what she described happened everything seemed fine until 15 minutes before class was set to end Emma was pulling him by the arm at the door across the gym floor, I thought he was going to be sick or was about to wet himself - she then opened the door and was choking back tears and said he will not listen and FLUNG him at me. We were given no other explanation. Another boy was also ushered out less violently, but he was told he could come back. Not my son. When I heard of what happened I called the gym and asked to speak to the coach just looking for what happened. I received a call back by office staff letting me know the coach was sick, so sick that nobody could get the story out of her I guess. Wednesday I wrote to withdraw again asking for an explanation. Nothing. It has now been four days and I have not gotten the story of what happened and why this woman manhandled my son. What the procedures are for a child who is having a bad day. Nothing. Im very disappointed and frustrated that I cant get any information out of anybody. We are no longer enrolled and will not be returning.
Great place. Great coaches. We’ve been there 3 years now in rec classes and on team and can see many changes and improvements.
My daughter has been with Georgia All-Star Gymnastics for over a year now. We moved from another gym when we decided to get more serious about her training. I will start by saying the facility and equipment is clean and in good shape. You can have confidence that your gymnast is working on equipment that is safe. The coaches are the best. They care so much for the gymnasts. They care about their success, their physical health, as well as their emotional health. Gymnastics can be a very demanding sport - both physically and emotionally. The coaches and staff get that and they do all they can to take care of both aspects. I also love that they coaches understand that it isnt about them, it is all about the gymnast. I feel like you get the best training for your gymnast without all of the crazy the only thing important in life is gymnastics kind of demands.Whether you are looking for recreational classes or a competitive team environment, you will be happy at GASG.
We have had a great experience here. We have been here a year now. We started in mommy and me class at 2 and now in preschool class at age 3. She is really learning!. This is not play time but its still fun. We plan to continue here for sure!
We are new to the sport of gymnastics, as I was a softball player, but my daughter loves it, and it seems like such a good sport for the development of basic skills, balance, strength, coordination, etc.
My daughter has loved the first couple weeks of classes. This has been a good choice for my 6 year old who didnt want to go back to dance. She asks me everyday if its time to go to gymnastics.
I loved Ga Allstars when we first joined. I have two kids attending classes there. I was first upset when they changed my daughters class to a parent assisted class. Thankfully the coach is amazing and works with me knowing I have another little one that I have to bring with me. The reason Im giving it two stars is because of an incident with my son who also attends their boys class. He has asthma & other health issues that cause him to be slower than other kids. His coach called him grandpa, weak, picked on him repeatedly in front of everyone, & had other kids laughing at him. After my son finally told me why he wanted to quit I was heart broken. I told him I would try to find another class. I spoke with the lady at the front desk and she seemed like she couldnt care less that my son had been bullied & brought to tears by a coach. We will be putting in our notice and switching to a different gym. Its really saddening, they were referred to us by family friend who is the owners sister. I was expecting a much better experience.
My daughter has been at GASG for three years and loves it! She continues to grow and progress as a gymnast and has no desire to do anything else. Her coaches know when to push her and when she needs a little encouragment. Would recommend this gym for anyone looking to get their child into gymnastics.
Went with my wife to take my child for a trial class. I was just expecting it to be play time as I didnt think my 4 year old could pay attention long enough to actually learn. Well, I was wrong, not only did she pay attention, she actually learned a few moves and had fun at the same time. The trial was free, and we have decided to sign up for classes.
My daughter has loved this gym since the first time we stepped through the doors. We have done rec, pre-team, and now team here. All of the coaches we have encountered have been knowledgable, kind, and encouraging.
We started off in the preschool program, then to advanced preschool, pre-team, and now competition gymnastics. My daughter absolutely loves her gym. She refuses to try other sports, believe me, I’ve tried. She has progressed so much in her short career.
So sad. This used to be an awesome place. My kids are on their second year of classes, but we wont be signing up for any more. Dont sign up for classes in the summer, as the summer camp kids are all over the place and interfering with classes. GA All Star is all about quantity over quality these days. It is constantly packed with multiple classes in the same area. The end of the year Extravaganza last year was disorganized to the point that my kids names weret even called for their participation trophies. The waiting area reeks of BO and dirty diapers. The bathroom is run down with holes in the walls and with the number of people it services they cant keep it clean. I got overcharged this month for a phantom class my son was supposedly taking, after I just emailed them that he will not be back. I just got a call today that the teachers second job will not allow him to show for my sons class tomorrow. GAS tried to reschedule the class at least, but when we could not make up the class they would not credit our account for the teacher missing his own class. Not happy. I wont be back, and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone seeking gymnastics classes.
What a great gym! Excellent equipment, coaches and care of young athletes!
Great facility, great coaches. Has been a great place for our daughter to progress!
I was told my child had to be 3 and a half to participate and after 30 min my child was kicked out of the class. I never felt so ashamed. One coach was friendly about it but the other was very rude handed him off to me and said no hes all over the place he has to go I was mortified. I proceeded to tell him I was told he can take this class and he told me no you have to be 5 and rolled his eyes and walked off leaving my child in tears.when I arrived I told them how old my child was and noone said he was too young. It was a trial class they atleast could have let him finish. When we got in the car my child told me the teacher told him he was bad and started to cry. Ive never felt so heartbroken and angry that he would be spoken to that way. As an educator I would never make my students feel that bad about themselves. Please train your coaches better and learn how to give correct information.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. Its filthy, disorganized, and the staff is rude. We have been involved in gymnastics for 7 years and moved to the area. During our trial, there were 3 different SUB coaches in the first 15 minutes. I came close to just pulling my daughter and leaving. Waste of time and would not rec them to anyone.
. The counselors and helpers were very rude and again they would put kids in time out but they also would not let my kid be with her best friend. My daughter had a best friend that she would always hand out with and they both didn’t want to do the things that the camp were making them do. They got in trouble for that and they were separated. For a few days my daughter had to go to the little kids group until I complained about it. The way for the camp to keep the inflatable water slide was for the holes to be patched with duct tape, people were very rude, the lemonade was made out of hose water and the campers would get in the way of the gymnasts (that is why my daughter quite gymnastics there). I hate to name certain people but I think I have to in this case. Some people were very nice including Becky the manager, and sahmari ( one of the counselors that was very nice to my daughter and she was one of the only reason my daughter stayed...also mrs.shelly). But the people her were rude were Zion, Micole, and Emma. Zion and Micole would make fun of children and tell them that they couldn’t go inside even though they were about to pass out. They put older kids in time out for literally nothing. Emma believed everything they said even though they were saying that they didn’t do something so they could keep their job. Another thing that was probably the worst was that I sent a CONFIDENTIAL letter to Becky the manager telling her about all the things that I am saying right here. My daughter was at camp and she said that Emma opened the letter and was asking if anyone wrote the letter or if their mom or Dad wrote the letter, later that day she found the letter in the trash and Becky never saw it. Another thing I would like to bring up is how disoraganized the place is. Campers were running all around and they were getting in the way. Also the year that my daughter was there, there was a rat running around the gym Sahmari(one of the counselors) saw it and then my daughter saw it later too. Over all the place is a mess and it is very disorganized and the people who work there are very rude. I hope this helps anyone looking into GASG and I would like to make this very clear THIS IS A REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE THAT DID REALLY HAPPEN.
My daughter has been a member of GASG for 5 years now. She started as a brand new to the sport 4 year old, and is now 9 and will be going in to her 5th season competing with GASG.Throughout our time here, she has learned so much about what its like to face disappointment, experience success, be a part of a team, and how to work through hard days. Her coaches are tough, but kind. They always work to make her the best gymnast she can be, and care about her as a person, not just a gymnast. She has learned so much here, not just about gymnastics, but life, and we look forward to many more years here!
This gym is awesome! Awesome coaches and not over crowded
Would love to go into detail, but not worth my time.Long story short very unorganized, unenthusiastic, and very dissatisfied. One disappointment after another. gave em to many chances. moving my kids elsewhere.
Not as good as I thought
They are really nice
I have never been here but i hear all about it and it seems Awsome!
