AMC Woodridge 18

Very nice movie theater. Everything is well kept and high quality. My favorite part is that not many people who go to this movie theater so there are many times that if you go to a movie a month after it came out then you will be the only one there.

Seats are subpar compared to modern recliners. Had an advance ticket, but had to wait forever in the line with people who still had to buy tickets. But the main thing was the theater was filthy. Disgustingly sticky floor, lots of garbage. Had not been cleaned for many showings by the looks of it.

The tickets were $5. They did a great job with seat arrangements, for social distance. Everyone wore masks. The workers were friendly. The popcorn was fresh.

Terrible customer service will not be returning! the popcorn was not fresh very stale and had to wait 20 minutes for new batch, could not get a refill on my drink that was still way overpriced, when asked if I could just get a new cup I was told no its there policy no refills. How is it a refill If I get a new cup? Unbelievable I understand it may be policy but the worker was rude and unapologetic as well as the manager I complained to about the popcorn. very bad experience was looking forward to going back to the movies not a good time.

Nice theater. Does not have the nice, reclining seats and still has the old school theater seats.

Customer Service was great.I was very surprised at the low cost.The viewing area need some cleaning work done. Some of what I saw under the seats was extremely old. It was bad enough to deduct two stars.Viewing was great.Audio was great.

So outdated! This theater needs an upgrade and remodel. Not to mention, it was dirty. The seats were small and stiff, not comfortable at all. As a bigger person, they do not accommodate to heavier people. Not an enjoyable experience. Also, tickets are overpriced! I recommend Cinemark over this one! Cheaper tickets and more comfortable seating!

I love that it felt very exclusive for a Saturday night! Theres a great variety of snacks and drinks available. The staff were great as well. Some theater ushers just say enjoy the show. The ushers here are very helpful, with common courtesy kept alive such as giving information about which direction the show is in. The sound in the in the theater is amazing. I was blown away by it! There are arcades towards the back for the kids. Overall great experience. Will be coming back in the near future!

The theater was convenient for us today, but not our first choice and now I know why. We are at an 11:30am movie during the week and the place doesnt look like its been clean in months. Its completely dead in here and there are plenty of employees standing around doing nothing . They could 100% be cleaning. Pull it together AMC Woodridge! Update your theater and clean up!

Not many people seem to work here. The last time I was there, the movie stopped after 15 minutes and they couldnt figure out how to reboot the computer. They gave us complimentary tickets, but of course we couldnt find them when we wanted to return. Not their fault, just annoying.

I work at this AMC and when people say that we just sit there and do nothing, we actually have amazing managers that make sure we are well behaved and working. We may have fun but we know how to tone it down and get into business, we are very polite and are willing to help anyone in need. We make sure everything is clean even though there are people who make a bigger mess after we clean we still make sure its clean it and everything is stocked. No one has ever been reported we would never be disrespectful whatsoever. We arent on our phones we usually talk to our friends/co-workers more, we are very social. Most people come during the WEEK which is NOT THE BUSIEST DAY so there shouldnt be any complaints on us being low on staff, during the weekend is the BUSIEST usually Friday and Saturday and sometimes you dont see a lot of people because we are either helping people, stocking, or cleaning after others. Our chairs are standard but we were planning on rebuilding this place but we need a lot of money for that to happen and also our theater is huge so please bear with us and not complain about little things; some people complain but come to our theater constantly. We are trying our best to please you and make our service come to your liking. Thank you.

I didnt like this theater. At all. Steps to go up to your seat. Then to get out steps to go down and then go up again. We snuck out a side door to the parking lot. We got our tickets online with prearranged seats which I didnt like either. The bathroom was huge and like a maze. The whole thing was overkill for a ( good) movie where most of the theater was empty anyway. The seats werent that comfortable and the rows were more narrow than most others I believe. We didnt get any food items. I will not go back to this theater .

Havent actually been to a theater in a long while and wouldnt normally go here, but we just happened to be somewhat in the area and it was the only theater around with Frozen 2 still.Nice size, not overly crowded, fairly clean as far as theaters go. A little pricey, but decent.

In all honesty, we dont go to the movies too often, but I really like the place. Its always quite, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The popcorn was fine last time we tried it. The place is a bit rundown compared to other more modern theaters, but that does not bother me. If anything, it gives the place a certain charm in my view.

No handicap seating! Regular seats with space for wheelchairs. Steep upward ramp to enter each specific movie theater. Not handicap friendly.

It was a little bit dirty. It disnt really appear to be cleaned that well from the previous show(s). The bottom of the seats were filthy, and we had to look for different seats a few times because the seats themselves were dirty. Not to mention, the cost was outrageous for a place that was so dirty and outdated. You can get really nice seats for $0.50 more someplace else.

People are rude. I understand that most of the employees are teenagers but how about a better attitude or get a job that is not customer service. One girl at the concession stand looked at me like I had the plaque when I spoke to her while waiting for my refill.Ordered a large popcorn and it only came 3/4 full husband mentioned something and was ignored by same I hate my job attitude girl!

I went to see Joker. Charlies Angels started playing rather than Joker. I was obviously horrified. The manager was unable to get Joker to work so I got a free pass to come back another time, which is OK I guess. Refund would have obviously been better. Rating 3 star due to having to watch several minutes of Charlies Angels.

Most of the AMCs that I have been to lately are new, have new seats, and a bar. This one does not. It is old and vibe is low end. Only thing though is you can watch football games on the big screen on Sundays!

The staff is nice but the conditions of this theater is deplorable. The phrase ‘time to lean is time to clean’ comes to mind. The bathrooms are even worse. The admission price for matinee should be much cheaper if none of the money goes to new seating or professional cleaning.

They assign seats that are sub-par compared to the Regal and they think by doing this it makes them look like their competition.... Id rather pay a couple dollars more for the pleasure of seating that is 10x more comfortable than getting assigned seats in regular chairs. GET WITH IT AMC!

Came in and watched a movie. After my kids wanted to play the video games. While they were playing the games turned off. I asked someone why this happen. He said to talk to the front desk. Nobody was at front desk. Worst experience for me and my kids.

Great place to watch a movie with the family. The 4 stars is because the theater needs to be updated in a few areas and needs to be clean a little more ... But other than that, everything is pretty good.

The place was fine I’m only leaving a review because of the nit picky reviews I seen when I was googling the address to this place. Yes the parking lot does have pot holes and the seats are pretty crammed but I don’t think they’re “so bad” that I’d leave a review about them. The theatre I was in was kinda dusty I only know because my allergies were acting up and unless there was a horse around I didn’t see that would be the only other allergen of mine to trigger it. Besides that everything was fine. These other people just have too much time on their hands

Its a very strange theater, its in a strange place and its a pretty old AMC. Barely anybody was there and we got the whole room to ourselves.

Pretty small theater, parking lot is in disrepair with potholes. Chairs are cramped and uncomfortable. Concessions closes at 8pm, with plenty of movies being played at the time. Food here is not the best, and as usual overpriced. Place was relatively clean and employees were polite. There are plenty better AMCs to go to in the surrounding areas.

Theater clearly hadnt been cleaned in a while, it was a shocking contrast to how nice the lobby is.

Came to see The Grudge in theater #3 and the condition of this auditorium is beyond poor. No one really cleaned it prior to the next movie starting. There is a foul odor and seats are stained and dirty. This is not including the dirt marks and god knows what else on the backs of the seats. Very disappointing and unsatisfying. Ownership/management needs to address this issue as it indicates a lot about themselves as leaders.

So, I hesitate to post on here about this place, because it is like a ghost town, and for those of us who like movies in leas crowded theaters? This place is amazing. Great staff. Good amenities. Well done popcorn. And usually sort of empty, so less talking around yo and less cell phone distraction.

Bad service. Got cold coffee instead of hot and when told staff about it got cold coffee again after 10 mins wait. Really !!!Heard cricket chirping while walking in lobby.

Easy access. Bargain matinee. Clean. Good projection.

Very large theater. Way out of town, but very good parking and so many theaters. They show international films and the prices are more reasonable than the others in the area.

No bar, super dirty and only half of the gaming machines dont work. Inside the theater is small seats are uncomfortable. Feels like a prison theater, such a waist of money

Pretty dull screens. Once the show is started concession stands are closed and you cant refill the popcorn.

The place is nice and quiet and you dont have to worry about the theater being packed.

The place and the people are nice, the parking lot needs a lot of attention.

The movie was great; the service was okay; and the chair in front of me was so broken that the back of the chair was hanging off. People walking by had to literally step over it or theyd trip over it instead.

Movie theater was fine. But, I have never seen lines for tickets, even for those who bought the tickets in advance on line. Was rediculous. Wont be going here again

Pretty good theater. Nice big screens. Soda fountains out where you can refill your own drinks. Prices were about average for a movie theater. But the fixtures could do with an update. The seats are pretty uncomfortable and just dont measure up to more recently built theaters.And the butter dispensers were all out of butter when I went. Would have really improved the pretty marginal popcorn, so it was kinda dissapointing. Probably not a common occurrence, but they should be watching stuff like that better.

It was a bit cramped because of the 0ld seats they have. The seats need updating. Popcorn was ok; someone who made the Pretzel bites,poured on the Oil & it got all Over my hands, the Railing & my Blouse.A friend & I were the Only ones in Theater-6. The sound in the Theatr was fine. Ok;Thats it.

The theater experience is great, the concession has a good variety of options, prices are as one would expect, but they do have good deals. Only con would be that the parking lot does have quite a bit of potholes, some worse than most. But nothing too unmanageable

This place is not what it used to be and is in need of a LOT of updates. I was here not too terribly long ago to watch the movie Us. (By far one of the most mind-screwing movies EVER). Anyway, my experience with the staff was pleasant. However, the number of potholes in their parking lot will beat the living heck out of your car even if youre driving 2 miles an hour. RESURFACE THE DANG LOT!!!!!!! To add, the prices for concessions are like what you would pay for a 5 star meal, not a measly bucket of over cooked popcorn (the butter sauce is good though). The theaters are about as clean as the interior of a dumpster and the chairs need to be replaced as they are very worn and hard. I would go to another theater but this is really the only one that is close-ish to where I live and continually find myself buying tickets whenever my friends want to go. OH WELL!

Great quiet theater where you can see a new movie without worrying about a lot of people.

A fun, less bustling cineplex. The seats have not been upgraded to recliners (yet) but the sound and screens are too notch.

One of my favorite spots for movies. Unlimited slushies and they have a new A list program which allows you three movies a week for $21 a month great for movie addicts. Still need to finish replacing the other half of the seats.

Its really unclean. It has a great vintage movie theater feel to it, and the floor has a sticky feeling to it also. If they cleaned the theater and updated the seating it would be excellent.

First time at this location. Nice and clean. Staff was there same as all theatres not bad or great. Would of gave it 5 stars but that parking lot potholes or craters I should say were memorable to say the least.

Very large and comfortable stadium seating. You cant go wrong on Tuesdays

Theater is dirty and has mice running around. There are better alternatives. I will not be going back.

We went to see the new movie US last night in theatre #13. We didnt feel comfortable with the seating . MY husband who is 62, felt very cramped after someone sat in front of him. Its because, the seats reclined so far back, and no leg room for him. I also, had a lady consistently rocking my back because, she had no leg room. I been in other theatre where seats recline as well but, we always have enough leg room. We were but, movie was great.

Their seats are comfortable and the sound and picture was good.

Theater is ok popcorn is not worth 800 dollars the Adams family movie was terrible on the story line.

We went seen the Lion King remake with my 3yr. old Granddaughter it was good, the Theater was clean and there were only 10 people in the theater at1pm, a Great time to go !

The theater was clean but is definitely showing its age. With so many theaters offering recliners and far more comfortable seats there are better options nearby

I’ve been coming here to see movies for a while. I like it more than other theaters I’ve been to the staff is nice. The waits and lines aren’t bad. Pricing is the same as other theatres of the same caliber.

Theater does not have the reclining seats, but that is ok. The thing that bothered me was the Large popcorn I purchased was stale, even though the employee said they had just popped it. It was chewy and sticking to my teeth. I asked for a new bucket, I waited for them to repop new popcorn. It was still stale tasting and made my son and I sick after eating a few pieces.

I only appreciate this place for its lack of a crowd. The seats are not very comfortable. I still go to avoid crowds.

Green Book was great movie. I believe the movie was a little older so we were in a smaller theatre and seats were very small and kind of uncomfortable. They should fix this problem because it could be a deal breaker if Id go see another older movie.

Great place to see a movie. Plenty of parking, huge theater. Clean, bright and cozy.A little out of the way, but thats also a plus, because you dont feel cramped by all the foot traffic youd find at other venues that are attached to a mall or shopping center.

I love this movie theater. The ticket guy is always so pleasant and the movie theater is clean and rarely is it insanely busy. I want this place to light up so it can stay open! Such a nice theater with comfy seats and great staff!

Under staffed and design for capacity of an empty theater. Concession are way over priced. Line for soda machine and the machine didnt have Coke or Sprite. I know Avenger is bringing in a lot more people than normal. Well. Probably wont come back. 2 stars for okay cleanness.

Employees seem to act like everyone has been there before. They werent rude but definitely didnt try hard to please. Place was pretty clean though.

The cashiers need to pay attention to exactly what the customers are asking them.

So disappointed in this theater. We went with our daughter. Fist thing we did was do a bathroom stop before the movie. It was dirty and gross. On only one side if the bathroom alone 3 stalls were covered up with plastic with fecal matter inside, saying, out of order. My daughter went to the bathroom and I had to check two other stalls before I found toilet paper to use. The soap pump was empty and the sink was so soaking wet I had to clean it before my child got her sleeves soaking wet. During this time my husband got popcorn and two drinks. The iccee machine was only half working. And we had to have the manager put in more 7up in the machine because it was out. It is a old theater and it shows. For the price of tickets I at least expect it to be clean, with good service. That is not what we got.

Paid a convenience to buy tickets on line and then I still had to stand in line to get in because they can only afford a single person working front end??

Ever since they closed off the back entrance they havent been the same. One of my favorite movie theaters to go to, clean and respectful work team. Nice little arcade area as well. But its unfortunate you can park or enter through the back, most people live on the backside of the theater, woodridge and bolingbrook area.

Old theatre that needs renovating but the sound systems and digital screens are top notch. First come first serve seating. Only AMC in my area where it was possible to watch Avengers Endgame!

Filthy Seats chewing gum stuck on floors. They did not turn off the lights in the auditorium until 10 mins into the show.

Pros - likely to have the theater to yourself. Place is a ghost town.CONS - Theatres are mismarked. Note, Fandango know better than the limited staff. Marquis on each theater are incorrect...enjoy setting through 30 minutes of previews on a 7 p.m showing, only to find out at 7:30 when the actual movie starts that your in the wrong theater. After missing 1st 30 minutes of your movie, dont bother to complain to the 17 yr old manager on staff. Shell just tell you that you should have looked at your online ticket stub and not trusted their marquis...but, shell be sure let someone know they need to correct the issue in the future. That makes me feel better about the $48 in tickets, $32 in food spent and 2 very disappointed children who got to see 2/3 of Angry Birds. But hey.. if this happens to you, know you want have to feel embarrassed if your child happens to throw a tantrum, cause as I mentioned as the pro the theater will be empty.

Had a great time with the family. We watched Secret Life of Pets 2. We will be going back.

The popcorn which is a 1.20$ per lbs (organic) @ Whole Foods, here it will make you reevaluate your life choices. The theater is nice tho.

Stadium seating was fine chairs were shabby and I hit the legs of the person behind me.

Overall, its nice and clean here. They just need to get lounge seating. Thanks Woodridge AMC!
