This is one of the best theater in the Twin Cities. Super friendly staff. Clean facilities. (Including Restrooms) Fresh buttery popcorn. Hot pretzels and cheese! Ice cold drinks (Pop and Frozen Drinks) and a nice selection of candy. All tickets are super affordable and is a great place to relax and get immersed in a good movie. 10/10
The Woodbury 10 Theater is a family-owned and run theater. The people that work there are very friendly, the price for watching the movie and getting concessions is the best in the Metro for new release movies. Photos that I took were in between daytime movies and evening movies so the lights were mostly dimmed. The theater is very family-friendly with a new party room. I highly recommend you check it out. Support your local family-owned theaters please.
This is the last privately owned theater in Minnesota. It’s very economical compared to the bigger theaters. Tickets were inexpensive and so are the concessions. They also have $5 Wednesday’s so we plan to be back.I know a lot of people really like the stadium seating options but it was nice to go into a theater and have some traditional seating. It almost felt like being a kid again which is ironic considering we were there to watch Bill & Ted!If you’re looking for a movie, support a smaller theater!
There are a lot of positive points to note:1. They are open.2. Decent variety of films.3. Reasonable concession prices.4. Friendly staff. What i didnt like:1. The saltiest popcorn Ive had at a theater. If that is your thing, this is your kind of place; its just not mine.2. I found the that the seats were uncomfortable. Im over 6 tall, and think the height made things uncomfortable for inner seats.I hope they consider providing unsalted or lightly salted popcorn in the future.
I have always loved Woodbury 10 theater. No it doesnt have reclining seats but it is absolutely by far the best popcorn ever & the theater is so much more affordable for a family.
Just got done watching The New Mutants & hardly any crowd in there. Place was extremely clean and you have the option if buying tickets Online or at the check window (in our case, the concession stand).A lot of parking right outside the theatre. Ive been here many times & crowd is always good & staff is also nice.
No bad experiences or anything. The experience youd expect from a theater. Skipped food because we ate a full meal prior. Only gripe is with the chairs. No reclining or any other more modern features and I honestly hope the owner invests in some much needed updating.
Its a nice discount theater option in the area and it has first run movies. The seats were just replaced and are comfy but dont expect any recliners! The concessions are much cheaper than most theater chains and its nice to support the local business.
Drove 30 miles to this theater. It’s one of only a few privately owned theaters in Minnesota. It’s one of two in the Twin Cities; the other in Forest Lake. I went to see Bill and Ted’s Face the Music. Theater chains don’t often show movie’s released simultaneously on Streaming video. Perhaps they don’t want to make money?Granted during a pandemic not too many go to the theaters, perhaps they are unaware they’re open (because they are going to restaurants with even more limited seating).Woodbury 10 is located in what would normally be a bustling area. Prices were decent for matinee viewing. My one Ticket, large popcorn w/extra butter and large drink was $15. You do have to pay for extra butter, but it’s a small fee.The theater was very clean and employees all wore face masks as is required at this time. The theater seats may not have been “recliners” but they were very comfortable and did recline more than the traditional seat would. Seats all padded and vinyl. Very spiffy for the low cost.Wish this theatre was closer to my home; I’d go there often. The only drawback was that I’m used to sitting Front and Center (where no one likes to sit, everyone usually sits farther from the screen). The seats have an aisle down the middle, so no Center seats. All in all it was worth the drive for this one movie. If another streaming movie comes along they show, I will be back!
Comfortable, affordable and friendly. And a better selection of movies than a bigger chain.
Web site was ready to use. Seats were great. Very comfortable
Friendly staff (as always), clean, masks worn, distance markers on the floor, clean bathrooms, popcorn seasoning and napkins in two locations so theyre easily accessible while maintaining social distance! Love this theatre!!!
Love going to movies here. Everything is good and reasonable. Cant go wrong here.
Good theater, just not a lot of movies to choose from because of you know auntie rona so ye.
Affordable, independently & locally owned theater with free arcade games in the lobby & free popcorn seasoning that most theatres charge for. Its the best value for first run movies in the Twin Cities.
Great staff. Great prices. Amazing for the community
I LOVE this theater! Now that it has reopened, will the seasoning station be available? I gotta have white cheddar and nacho on my popcorn. Lol
Such a great place to take your family for a movie night! Great staff, good eats, and comfy seats!
It was good to get out and see a show on the big screen .the popcorn and soda,. enjoyed myself.
Popcorn ! Seats are clean & comfortable.Good selection of films.
Ive been to many theaters in the Metro and in Wisconsin this is the diamond in the rough. Great people providing a very affordable experience. The old seats were fine and with the seat renovation last year theyre even bigger. The POPCORN & topping selection are the best.My experience looking for good concession food Woodbury 10 theater has nailed it, their popcorn is the best hands down!Ive been frequenting this theater over the years and I cant think of a better place to watch movies.Thank you for all you do and providing a great experience.
Best price for current films around. Friendly staff. Clean venue. Good popcorn. Whats not to love?
Best movie theater deals in the area.$5 matinees on 1st run movies. If you buy the reusable popcorn bucket you can get it filled for the next year for free anytime as much as you would like. The popcorn here is awesome by the way. Great movie experience. Sometimes can be very busy. They also have a room you can rent for birthdays. Video games also. Good prices on movies and snacks. Overall great place. Give it a try
Haven’t been in to see a movie in a while due to health. Loved the new seats!! Comfortable. Adjustable spacing with movable arm rests. And of course, the best movie popcorn around! Thanks for the refillable bucket-it made a great Christmas gift.
Its was an open movie theater during a pandemic. We had to stop at the rude ticket lady to print tickets. The popcorn was stale. The movie was good so that made up for the theater.
I love this place. Great value. Love the unlimited popcorn bucket
The Woodbury 10 theater is pretty great. The seats are very nice. Other than I wish a person received more butter on popcorn, the concessions have everything I enjoy at a movie.
This is the best theater Ive ever been it has refills soda foods candy
Wonderful place to watch a movie.
12/27/19My wife and I have enjoyed this theater for many years but tonight was a bad experience. During the movie several folks were on there phones and my wife asked them to please turn off and they did not, so she went to the lobby to report to find another lady from movie was already doing the same. No one from the Management came in to do anything about it. The person continued using there phone. I’ve always supported small venues but we’ve had enough. We will be moving on and not returning.
Woodbury 10 is our go to place when we want to see a movie for cheap in a comfy place. We can get tickets and concessions for under the price of just tickets at ano the theatre. Its fantastic that you can decide to see a movie last minute and be able to get tickets unlike the theatres with reserves seating. We love how they have the popcorn seasonings free to use. We have been going here for years. The only downside is the new chairs - they are extremely comfy but due to the fact that the floor only slopes up very gradually, it can be extremely hard for kids and shorter individuals to see over the back of the chair in front of them or with an adult sitting in front of them (and yes, even with a child sitting in the provided booster seat).
I love this theater, especially since they upgraded the seats. Great value and best popcorn around. Be sure to buy the refillable popcorn bucket!
Best popcorn ever!
It is really great for any age and there popcorn is amazing
Clean. Extremely reasonable prices.
For the price of the tickets and concessions you cant beat it. Always clean. People are nice!! They also have the popcorn flavoring for free!!
This was an amazing place. The people were nice and the arcade games were fun.especially since they were free. They start the movie at the right time when the seats are all cozy. Thank you woodbury 10 theater for helping me in a time of need.
Doesnt have the stadium style seating, but the prices are good! The snacks are affordable as well. The popcorn was fresh and had REAL butter!
Matinee prices are great, awesome popcorn! Theater is in nice shape too. Ive been going here since the early 1980s.
Convenient location for Woodbury area residence. Very nice venue. Locally owned and lower priced than the big movie theater chains . Appropriate experience for the price.
I’m fourteen and my friends and I LOVE to go here and watch movies because their staff are incredibly kind. I love the prices because I have gone all over and none are as good as this. The first and third time I went they had disabled workers which I adore. And I got to sign with a deaf worker. So, I definitely recommend. It’s amazing.
Prices are great, for a theater. Seats are good, no complaints on sound/picture quality. Restrooms are rarely clean.
Really like bringing our kids here. Good ticket prices. Clean theaters.
I usually see a movie about 40 times/year. Ive always bought the refillable bucket. not this year! the bucket has been reduced to half the size. bad business decision. I usually purchased a large drink. usually, I spent $9 per movie. 9x40 equals 360. I drove 10 miles each time. now its cheaper to go to AMC or Marcus theaters on $5 Tuesdays no longer a customer after 7 yrs Im probably not the only one with this opinion best wishes!
If I could give them less than 1 star, I would definitely do that. I called to speak with a Manager about ordering a gift card for our parents. We live out of state and wanted to give them something we knew they would use. When I asked to speak to a Manager the Manager sighed into the phone and said this is. I assured him I wasnt calling him about anything negative, since he answered the phone with less than an enthusiastic attitude. I asked to order a gift card and have it mailed to our parents, because we live out of state. He said he upgraded his credit card machine and couldnt take orders over the phone. I asked if there was another way and he curtly replied, I dont know, I guess you could send a check. I asked further questions about why he could not take the order over the phone and he FINALLY explained that he needed a physical card to make the purchase. It was like pulling teeth to get him to give me any information or to be cooperative at all! My husband was standing next to me and asked what the problem was and I told him the manager was being rude and they couldnt help us. The manager chuckles into the phone, Oh ya Im being rude! I told him I could hear him and that he was being rude! He told me that I was only upset because I wasnt getting what I wanted and I explained that the way he was speaking to me and the tone he was using was RUDE! He condescended to me that he had to explain things to me 3 times and I wasnt getting what he was telling me. I ended up hanging up and I plan to tell our parents to stay away from this theatre. it is obvious they dont want peoples business and they especially dont want to be bothered during business hours!
Love this theater - it’s perfect for family night movies. My daughter gets to play the free games while waiting for the movie and we get plenty of snacks at a reasonable price. 3 people with plenty of food for under $30 - can’t beat that. Plus the new seats make it that much nicer of an experience :). Always my go to theater
This place is one of the last theaters around that doesnt break the bank if you want to take a family of four to the movies. Tickets are cheap and so are the snacks. Its not super fancy and nice but its perfect for the price. I hope this place stays open. The other theaters and way over priced.
Love the new chairs..very spacious
The person who put down on their review must not have been to a theater in a long time. Popcorn is great prices are great for both food and movie. Seats are very nice. I highly recommend it.
Nice theater that is clean and friendly staff. The parking lot is extremely slippery. There were no handicap spots and walking over and around all the ice was dangerous and stressful as I did not want to fall.
I honestly love this place. I have been coming here for 8 years plus and their service never disappoints. Their ticket is 5$ before 6pm anyday and $7 after 6pm. Their popcorn and soda combo is so affordable. Large popcorn and large drink is 6.50$ which is more than enough for 3 people to split. Their seats are comfortable and their recline a bit. For someone who enjoys going to the movies constantly, Id recommend.
The price is reasonable the quality is amazing and the staff are amazing
This theatre is one of the cheaper ones in town and I love it! The seats were recently redone and they are super comfortable and sleek. Also has the best popcorn around!! Very good go to theatre
Cheap tickets and great staff! They have upgraded a lot on the last years so it isnt nearly as dirty and run down as it used to be! Its not a fancy theater, but if you want to just see a movie and eat popcorn, this is a cheap place to go!
If you want to see a movie in the theater, no harm with this theater. The theater is really cheap, and nothing exactly wrong with it. Past that, the seats are JUST comfortable enough to sit in for a feature-length film, and the entire experience is just okay. One notable problem, the seats are pretty high so if you like sitting in the back of the theater, you wont see the bottom 1/4 of the screen.
They have a great deal for $35 you buy a bucket of popcorn thats refillable anytime for a whole year. The price is excellent and for budget-minded people this is the place to go. Also for the little kids they have free video games while you wait for the movie.
Comfortable seats best popcorn in town!
You can never go wrong with the Woodbury theatre. Great seats with an amazing sound is always what they provide, on top of great selections. Of course prices are high, but that goes without saying now a days. Its always a safe and comfortable setting and the theatre is pretty clean for it to be a bigger theatre. Most definitely a good movie destination.
Great value, saw a matinee with popcorn and a drink for two was $18.50. Screens are a bit small but they have nice seats and the best movie theater popcorn around.
Good place to take your family to a movie. Ticket prices are not as expensive as some others places. One thing I really liked is that they keep they place clean, There are a few theaters I wont go to because of cleanliness, none of that here. The only reason not 5 stars is the cost of the snacks.
I like this movie theater because its close to my home and I love their popcorn. I brought their yearly popcorn bucket for 2019 but for the 2020 bucket, was cut in half. That was disappointing but I missed the Black Friday special for it, and I didnt get it this time. oh well!
Did a birthday party here amazing service. Crystal went above and beyond after the movie was done, and we got to the party room. They were great.
Everything is always great!
Absolutely love this theater. All the fancy stadium seating and recliners as the others? Not a chance. But the seats are comfortable, no problems viewing the screen. Best if all. Affordable! You dont have to remortgage the house to go see a movie and get some snacks.
This is a nice, basic movie theater. Nothing particularly fancy about it, but I have never had any problems with picture quality, sound quality, or cleanliness. They are typically one of the least expensive theaters in the area, so a great choice if you want to save a few bucks on movie night.
Nice little neighborhood theater. Ive never had to stand in line. Parking is close and easy to find a place. Tickets are always reasonably priced! Its a no frills place. If you want 3D of IMAX, it wont be here. But, if you want an enjoyable, no hassle evening this is the place!
This movie theater is a go to for me. It’s where all Woodbury kids can meet up and have fun for a good movie.
Great inexpensive theatre. Nice seats and the best popcorn around!
Brand new comfy seats and affordable ticket prices. It really doesnt matter that its an older theatre once the film begins.
Good popcorn and new seats. Prices very reasonable.
Best Theater in the Twin Cities Hands Down! Went to a different theater last night because of a showtime. I felt like I was cheating.
Always love going to this theater. Now they have upgraded their seats to nice comfy leather seat! Makes the theater that much better.
Love our local Woodbury 10 Theater. Young staff works hard, comfortable surroundings and great popcorn!
Its comfortable....they could improve on the sound a bit but overall Id go back
They are the best. Totally love the atmosphere and prices. You guys rock. 1 day I hope my movies will be played there.
After working all week long this is a place to relax inexpensively. Every weekend I enjoy my fresh pop corn.
It does the trick for cheap seats. Reasonable prices but I have had people talking during screenings that I have seen there.
We have been going here for a few years, we can get in and share a drink & snacks for 2 for a $20 date night. I think the seats have been upgraded in some theaters recently, and are quite comfy. Very happy to have this option and will choose over an amc any day . Staff are always polite and we get through the concessions line fast!
The price is good and fair. The management really was horrible. The movie was okay... Kids love it at list.
Great Prices, Popular movies, clean theatres, friendly employees and very nice seats.
Many new movies, clean theaters, lots of snack and drink choices, clean bathrooms, courteous staff and great prices!
Price is very reasonable and popcorn seasoning at no extra charge
Single handedly one of the worst movie experiences I have ever had. Terrible staff, poor customer service owner needs to be made aware of poor hiring decisions.
I have loved this theater all my life.. inexpensive but has everything a top theater has.. great location and staff is always helpful and polite.. their Tuesday matinee is unbeatable as far as price goes.. sometimes its very crowded but thats because its a great place to take your family and not go broke.. I will be going here as long as they dont change anything..
Woodbury 10 obviously scanned my phone while I was there and sent me this message. Woodbury 10 had better lose this address and never contact me again. Because of this I may never go back there. Be careful if you go to Woodbury 10 theaters they may scan your phone. I hope no one has any vital information on their 0hones that Woodbury 10 can hack.
Great theater! New seats real butter! Purchase a big bucket for popcorn and reuse for free the rest of the year! Priced right! Clean and staff is friendly!!!
Appreciate the establishment, me and the family go here for movies, provides great value
I love this theatre! The price for tickets and treats is awesome
The staff is incredibly friendly! AFFORDABLE!! The prices are low and that makes it especially nice for larger families. We love going there! We have a movie theater in Hastings (way overpriced), but the prices are worth the 25 minute drive to Woodbury 10! Thank you!P.S. If you are the high end, snobby type of person who needs plush seats, please go elsewhere. This theater is geared towards down to earth people and families. Any negative posts about this awesome theater are coming from high maintenance people. The prices are perfect for families and the staff is nice!!
Great place to watch movies
Great old school low price movie theater
Ive been to the woodbury 10 theater multiple times and always have had a great experience. Cheap ticket & concession prices. However, I admit, I am not a stranger to bringing in some of my own food, as sometimes I like to try to save money. Tonight (July 3rd, 2019) I went to go see the 8:40pm showing of Avengers Endgame. My family and I bought tickets, bought some concessions, and made our way towards the movie. The young woman who was checking my tickets made me empty my pockets- which, honestly, was a bit embarrassing but I understand. I was not made aware of the strict No Outside Food Policy, but the woman ensured me I could have my 4 small bags of candy (that I had bought for my brother and I) after the movie. No big deal- as I understand that policies are policies. However- as we were leaving the theater, we went back to retrieve the candy- only to find that 2 bags had been eaten. Very disrespectful, and I hope that the Woodbury 10 theater does not train their employees to (rightfully) take and (not rightfully) EAT their patrons outside food. I will not be returning.
Great movie theater; reasonable prices and clean.
Small theater, very budget friendly ticket and concession prices. The seating is comfortable but typical of an older theater- no recliners here! Parking is a bit tricky at times so arrive early for the show. They have recently begun offering automated ticket kiosks which cuts down time waiting in line for tickets. Overall, an affordable outing for a family!
Antonio was super helpful and deserves a big raise!!
Everything was great, but they might need a little upgrade on the surround system
My parents ordered tickets online for me and my friends for an R rated movie. We are 16 and the website says nothing online about having to be 17 to watch the movie. When we got there they wouldn’t let us in or given a refund. $40 waste of money. 100% do not recommend this theater.
Prices arent to bad. They just put in larger and more comfortable seats. Great time
