I love it here, it’s my favorite theatre. It’s super unique, they play cute retro previews before the movie and it’s decorated with vintage film posters. The food is also so, so good. The vibe is so nice

The space was great!Didnt even notice the server once the movie started.We had two sides and two beers, the loaded fries were excellent and the fried pickles Spears had just the right amount of breading.Great old movie posters in the halls!Definitely will be back.

After moving to the area from Texas, I was so happy to learn theres an Alamo Drafthouse here. Best movies and theater experience out there!

Considerate service, great atmosphere, great food and selection! If you go to the Alamo, I would definitely recommend getting some food. Its pretty decent for food at a movie theater. The milkshakes were particularly enjoyable. Also I love the little bits and extras played before the film! That along with the food really makes the movie going experience worth the price. A side note: the seats are comfortable and spacious as well.

My wife and I went. Weve never been to a theater like this. From the beginning it was different than other theaters. We walked directly to our theater and took our seats. No waiting for concessions or someone to print a ticket for us. We ordered our food from our seats. The staff made rounds throughout the show to get whatever you wanted.We ordered the bottomless popcorn, cheese curds, and fried pickles. Food was terrific! They have a strict no talking it phone use during the show, which, was great. All in all a great experience. Bathrooms were clean. They served alcoholic drinks as well. We are definitely going back.

Super fun atmosphere! Location is clean and safe. Staff clearly enjoy working there. We went to a movie party and had a lot of fun. Food is decent, its theater food and not the main attraction. Well definitely be back!

It was a really good experience overall. It was very cold in the halls, seems keeping the side doors closed and having people enter from the front would control that better, but then Id have to walk farther in the cold from and then to my car...so...yeah.The deep fried pickles and the pizza we had were very good!

Very Fun!! We saw the Alamos celebration of the movie Elf which included a pre-movie competition about mimicking things in the Elf movie. We also had dinner. The food was really good. I was impressed. The theater had a different feel to the common spaces than other movie theaters I have been to. It is worth trying if you have not yet been!

Excellent service in what can be a tough environment for the servers. Good food. Pricey, but worth it would good movies, very comfortable seating, amazing sound systems, very tasty food choices. Large portions. Come hungry and ready for a very enjoyable experience.

High quality experience from beginning to end. Nice reclining seats, great screen, good food, good service. There’s a separate bar with a patio as well. Loses a star for being in Woodbury, which is too far for regular moviegoing. But they have a lot of specialty screenings so I expect I’ll be back.

This place is great! The food was amazing, the service was discreet and speedy. I was really impressed! My only complaint is just that the seats arent very big, and the table makes it hard to get comfy. That wont stop me from coming back, but folks with bigger bodies might not be comfortable in the seats!

Ive been going to various Alamo Drafthouses since 2014, this one is pretty good.The staff are EXTREMELY helpful here. Ive had a few times where issues have come up prior to a ticket, and theyve been incredibly accommodating and understanding, and have gotten me sorted every time. The food is as good as any other Alamo location, and the best food youre going to get in a movie theater anywhere. Drinks are stellar.Only real negatives are true in most Alamo locations: Prices and Location. Food here is certainly elevated in cost. Quality is good, but not quite worth it. Secondly, the location. The Drafthouse has wonderful drinks, putting the location somewhere more transit inclusive, and central to the cities would enable people to enjoy those drinks much more.

Great food. Great service comfortable chairs and clean theater. Dinner and a movie for three for less than $100. Theaters policy on noisy patrons is exceptional, 1 warning then you are out.

What a great place. Alamo prides themselves in providing a truly unique and genuine film-going experience. The craft beer selection is incredible, as well as their bar/restaurant with a full-menu to choose from.You won’t find a better movie-going experience.

This is the only theater I go to now. Amazing burgers, and usually great service. Most of the time I get my food quick, only once so far out of 4 visits I did I have to wait about 25 minutes for my food and had to ask how long before it finally came out. Otherwise, usually quick service. Great sound and visual aspects, and the strict no talking policy makes the movie enjoyable compared to other theaters.

This theater is a bit unconventional, but in a good way. The array of films in any given month includes new releases, classics, art house films, and foreign films. The customized and themed pre-film trailers are wonderful. The strict enforcement of quiet/no distractions in the theater is appreciated. Availability of food and alcohol is nice, though its pretty expensive. We are regulars here, and will continue to be.

Great place! You can order food right from your seat, and bring your alcohol drinks in the theatre! Super laid back and makes you feel like youre watching right in your own basement at home. Will come back!

Great place to grab a drink, dinner, and a movie. The bar here is very chill and the tap list is surprising. Staff is also friendly. They have great food options to cater to plant-based diets. The volume in the movie theater was super loud, but that may have just been the movie I saw.

I am abhorred at this place. This was our first visit. Over $22 for two tickets. Thats the highest Ive seen anywhere. Then we had two soft drinks that cost us $12.25. Whats the deal here. Maybe that is why the place was almost deserted. The people were nice. The theater was nice. The reclining chairs were nice, but everyone has reclining chairs these days. No concession stand for small snacks. Only a menu. $9 for popcorn. But it was refillable. Yikes! I dont think thats reasonable. The full service theater concept is okay but they should be charging double what others charge. Thats gouging the consumer. In my opinion, this place will not make it without considering some drastic changes. I certainly will not go back.

Very nice! I liked the blend of new and old in the decor and atmosphere. The people and service were both very nice. There are little tables to set food and drink on while watching the film but the table did make it difficult to get up, it would have been helpful if it flipped up or swiveled out. Thank you for a wonderful time!!!

Awesome experience. I think more cinemas should consider this idea. Popcorn is wonderful...but I absolutely love enjoying some real food while watching a movie...to say nothing of enjoying a drink. Highly recommend splurging and trying this out if you have not already.

My gf and I went on 2/2/20. Unfortunately all the fryers and grills were down so we could only have popcorn. The theater was a little chilly, and we spent $30 on tickets, popcorn, and one soda. If the kitchen wasnt down, I would have given the place 4 stars. On the positive side the seats were comfy and the theater was clean. Everything else was fine

This is a fantastic theater. Great experience.My only complaint is that ALL the waiters awkwardly hunched their shoulders when waiting on us during the movie, like they were trying to duck. But an adult-sized person trying to duck while walking upright takes up more space than one who stands up straight and confidently walks to their destination.Ive only been here once though.

This is my favorite theater in the Twin Cities. I love their film series showings where they bring back movies from the past and give you the chance to see it in a proper theater. I also appreciate their emphasis on people being quiet in the theater. Finally, great popcorn, though I do wish in came in a size other than gargantuan.

Really like the Rules of Conduct policy. The setup is efficient and not too distracting, although we watched a fast paced action movie with a louder soundtrack. Seating was very comfortable.Staff were excellent. Very patient and understanding for first timers. Food and drinks were very good with a great selection. Certainly a little pricier than your usual theater experience but I thought it was worth it. Definitely the place to go for a special occasion or date night!!

VERY overpriced but very fun! Servers do an admirable job of moving around in a deep squat to avoid blocking the view of the screen. Good place to visit very occasionally.

Really great to have an Alamo in MN. The building and decor are awesome. Love how many special events they have of all kinds of different films. The food was tasty, but at theater prices - a bit spendy.Being able to order drinks, snacks, food, and refills from your seat is cool. But, since they have to run down each aisle often, its a little distracting. Plus, trying to fill out a CC slip in the dark is impossible.The biggest, and really only problem, is how close the seats are to each other. Smallest armrest area since theaters switched to luxury seats, and with the table in front of you, youll bump your neighbor getting up.Ill be back for sure, but Ill hope I wont have someone next to me I dont know. :)

Awesome place for a date night. servers were very quick and quiet during the movie. the atmosphere was great, i really liked the movie posters lining the walls in the hallways. bathrooms were very modern and clean.

Great cinema, awesome staff, food and drinks are a little pricey and can add up fast. Still a great movie going, experience especially for adults without children. They do have special viewings where their quiet policy is not enforced, which are great for the whole family! A lot of cool screenings and themed events.

I had bought tickets to a showing thinking it would be mostly empty. It was empty. Its always an enjoyable experience nevertheless. The food was good and the service was spotless. I dont give out 5 stars. Thank you for another good time.

Love the location in San Antonio years ago so went to try this location out. They have reclining chairs not the best in the area but nice. The server was so nice and we used descriptive audio that actually worked. The down fall is the food and drinks, I asked for two different drinks but they were sadly out of stock. The popcorn was $9 and comes out cold, kind of like home popcorn, my burger I ordered a Juicy Lucy that came out dry tore it open to find the cheese( Juicy Lucy in MN the cheese is supposed to run out) but I guess it dried up overall was very dry.

Can we get one of these on the west side of town? Best execution yet of premium theater experience and full restaurant menu (and adult beverages). Will definitely return, would be my first pick if it werent so far away.

I have been here dozens of times and always had a great time, however, today was terrible. My friends and I bought tickets on their kiosk and only one of us was successful at actually purchasing the tickets. The rest of us had to have our tickets verified because the kiosk machine never printed out our actual tickets. Then, after we ordered food, someone personally came up to us and told us to basically shut up. I have never had this happen to me before because I am always respectful in movies. I probably said 10 words total and got a warning. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a movie theatre before in my life. This place is so strict you literally can’t have fun. If people are so serious about their movies why don’t they just watch them at home if you are scared of someone saying 10 words?:-) also their bathrooms are nasty and you cannot flush the automatic toilets even when there is stuff inside them. As I write this, a toilet in this bathroom has gone off every 5 seconds and no one is in here. I’m so done with this place.

I really like going here for movies. Tickets here are cheaper that a lot of other theaters. The chairs are super comfortable and recline. It seems like the keep their movie trailers more minimal than other theaters. And you cant beat the full service on the food and drinks during the movie. The parmesan truffle popcorn is to die for. The food is a bit expensive, but its pretty tasty and served to you during the movie.

I like the idea when everyone should keep quiet when the movie starts. No cell phone no talking... however, it doesnt make any sense youll get other people staring at you for laughing when youre watching a funny show! This makes people unable to enjoy the movies at Alamo!

Great food, fun movies/movie parties, comfortable seats. On our last trip, the theater was changed and there was a brief moment of confusion. Management went above and beyond to fix the problem and make it up to us.

I love the old movie posters on the walls! Everything is brought to you, no concession stand. Popcorn and soda (coke products) are bottomless. My husband got the cheese curds, myst have been good I didnt hear a word from him. I got the buffalo cauliflower bites. They were very good, not as crispy as I would have imagined, but hey, its cauliflower, they dont crisp well, especially after they are doused in buffalo sauce. I love their VERY strict rule of silence! We saw frozen 2 with our 4 year old, there was more giggling and shouting of character names, but its to be expected. There was no running around or kids crying. It was blissful! They have reclining chairs and tables. Only downside, which is common in theaters who have this, the tables dont move and Im forever hitting the decline button on accident!I seen (but havent attended) some screening parties! Past movies is what I have seen advertised; Elf and Its a Wonderful Life, because Christmas. I would love to attend one.I will definitely be going there for future movies!

Great place for movies. If youre in the back row the table lights can be distracting. Beyond that they seem to take pride in correctly tuning their audio and video equipment. If you have small kids, check out the Alamo For All showings. I wasnt sure what to expect based on their website description, but the presentation (house lights, audio, etc) didnt seem any different than a normal show. Was a decent experience with a 4yo and 1yo (tip: kids under 3 dont need a ticket).

Double laser projectors, recliner seats and exceptional from scratch menu, large and varied local beer list and great craft cocktails make this the best theater in Minnesota. Be sure to check out their vintage screenings and movie parties, people dress up sing along and have a general fantastic time.

My husband and I absolutely love the Alamo drafthouse cinema. Weve attended numerous movie showings and unique movie parties where the crowd is given props and invited to participate. Its delightful! The staff have always been kind. The food and drinks have always been above par. Super fun time for first dates, birthdays and every ordinary days.

Love the theater, but food/restaurant part is 50/50. Enjoyed my pizza, my wifes salad was not great and in addition, they added chicken to it (when it wasnt ordered that way), and charged us for it. Maybe in time it will get better. But the theater/sound/visuals are great!

This place is amazing! My friends and I went to see Cats here. It was a fun experience and the option of getting drinks and food delivered to our seats is inspired!

Really cool movie theater! Saw the latest Star Wars movie and they had a cool menu that was themed off of the movie. Other menu items were great and the service was also great.

If youre a movie lover that is tired of people with their phones out or being chatty, this is the theater for you.Food and drinks were great, but a little pricey for what you get (standard for a movie). Next time were planning on the popcorn as it is cheaper and unlimited refills.It was everything I was hoping it would be!

No nonsense staff, straightforward and strictly enforced rules make for a fantastic movie experience. The food was good, but not worth the high, high cost. The theater experience itself, though, is phenomenal.

This is on par with any other movie theater for ticket pricing. Popcorn and pop is approximately the same price. Where this place shines is the chair side service and adult drinks beer, mixed drinks, and shakes. Popcorn is a must, the truffle parmesan popcorn is basically crack and you will be addicted to this stuff. Im on step 3 towards recovery from this popcorn. Alamo might would ritzy, but the prices are on par for any other theater and you get so much more service.

Extremely nice and large cinema... seating is naturally, awesome... leather reclining chairs... this is not your regular cinema... and no where close to the NORM for most traditional movie theaters...which offer strictly snackie eats that cost a small fortune...candy, popcorn, hotdogs, etc. These folks have a full menu to actually order from. Yes... you will have a waiter or waitress. Menu examples...all types of sandwiches, lots of appetizers, and even main course dinners... I can say it was a first for me!! Nearly forgot... selection of drinks.. wow... not just sodas anymore.. but ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES!! ALL STAFF AT THIS PARTICULAR LOCATION WERE TRAINED, PROFESSIONAL AND VERY PLEASANT. ON EVERY POSSIBLE LEVEL.. GOLD STARS STRAIGHT ACROSS BOARD. Really nice experience.. a must for all movie goers.

The food and drink is expensive, but the service is the best youre going to get at any movie theater around. They made watching Cats slightly bearable by having a manager threaten to kick a chatty couple next to me out, causing them to leave 30 minutes before the movie ended. Bless.

Favorite theater in the Twin Cities. Worth the drive from Minneapolis. The app is so easy to use. Tuesdays movies are $5. They have theme nights and special events. The food is incredible and the beer selection is immense.

Wow, what a wonderful movie theater and dining experience! Purchasing the tickets and going directly to our reserved seats was quick and convenient. Didnt have to show our tickets until our server verified we were in the right spot. Our server explained what to do and their rules since it was our first visit. There were so many good food/ drink options! We tried the bottomless truffle parmesan popcorn, margherita pizza, and warm chocolate chip cookies- all ordered right from our seats. Everything was quickly served, the food tasted good, the recliner seats were comfortable, and the facilities were very clean. Love this theater!

Loved watching a movie here. Was disappointed that the bar was so full (for trivia?) when we had hoped to relax with a cocktail pre-movie. But that aside, the food & beverage service within the theater was fantastic.

The price is a little high, but the food is excellent and the service is great. It is even better than watching a movie at home because you dont have to cook or clean up

We love coming here for movies. Like the retro previews and the theater opens 40 minutes prior to the movie start. Food prices are pretty standard, but the drink prices are a little on the high side. Normal previews do run abour 20 minutes, so if your movie start time is listed as 6:40, it really wont start until 7. Join the rewards program for free or discounted movies abd food.

First time going and it was AMAZING! I loved their strict no talking and texting policy! Other theatres Ive gone to people were always doing that and no one did anything about it. The food was great too! Definitely going back!

I could cry I love this place so much. Its like a childhood dream. Just dont buy the beer here or your tab will run up to $70+ like me when I went and saw Endgame. My two complaints are: their beer is way over priced (otherwise its great beer) and that the movie is super loud. Probably so you dont hear anything else... but dang... it is crazy loud.Even though I had those complaints, I can still easily give this place a 5 Star rating. Best viewing experience Ive ever had. Bring a blanket, a girl, and get ready to be served like you were the King of Wakanda. Yibambe!

Wednesday trivia night is amazing! Also, their parmesan truffle oil popcorn is amazing, and the staff are exceptional. One of the few theaters where you can be served in the theater, and the bar tap selection is great.

First time at an Alamo draft house was a great experience. Very cool theatre, staff was great. Sound system definitely one of the best I’ve heard at a movie theatre. Kids had a great time. Food was great and service was quick. Only downside is the expense. Wish we had one of these back home.

The best movie going experience you can get. Definitely for those who want a pristine movie watching experience, with a quiet auditorium and comfortable, reclining seats thats always have a good view. Along with good movie treats and the ability to order drinks while you watch. Friendly staff keep the whole building clean. Cant recommend more for anyone who loves movies.

Best movie theater!!! Anybody talks or uses cellphone, they are kicked out. Awesome seats and food is served to your table. Very clean. Every month there is a surprise movie that plays where it is not known what it will be until just right before the movie starts. Awesome place.

Staff was great, definitely a different experience overall. Ordered a light dinner and then about mid movie got some milkshakes. Somehow in the dark theater they made it happen. Would recommend showing up 30min early so you can enjoy and talk while eating dinner.

The cinema is comfortable, clean and impressive. The staff are always wonderful. However the theater is consistently too loud, and the food is always a disappointment. Firstly, the portions are too small for the prices. But to make it worse, during the last two visits I’ve had to the Alamo the food has come back incorrect from the kitchen. The chilaquiles ordered today were so heavily seasoned with hot spice and salt they were inedible. My party passed them around trying to find someone to eat them until we eventually sent them back to the kitchen. We were still charged for the food. (Although I’m sure they would have corrected the issue if it was brought to their attention.) I’d suggest getting only snacks and saving meal money for another diner unfortunately. I love The idea of the Alamo so much, if they changed these things I would never leave.

Love being able to see older throwback films that I was too young to see in theaters at the time. Very good local beer tap list as well. Food has been great from what Ive tried so far.

Went here for the first time recently and were very impressed. The staff was extremely nice. The popcorn tasted homemade with real clarified butter, I couldnt get enough! I have a lot of food allergies so I didnt try much on the menu but were thrilled they had salads I could have! Cant wait to go back.

My fist movie was for a special showing of the original Predator. Before the show I enjoyed a beer on the patio selected from their impressive beer selection of craft beer. As far as the experience goes it is unique. They play fun old movies and new releases. They have a full menu that is priced a bit high but that is expected. The draw is dinner and a movie. They do have popcorn and a few candy options but its not a traditional movie situation. There are servers running around trying to be discreet but you will see them and its a bit of a distraction. However with that said I had seen the movie before so maybe I was easily distracted. In any event if you arent looking for a meal with your movie I dont think this would be my first choice. If you are then this is the spot!

If you dont want to be bothered by people talking or on their phones, then this is the place for you. Being able to order food and drinks though out the movie is a plus. The movie parties are awesome!

I will never watch a movie at the theaters another way! Everything about the Alamo experience is exactly how going to the theater should be! It starts with ground rules that force movie-goers to behave like civilized and respectful people. It also takes film and cinema seriously; from the pre-show selection of clips and videos, to the special theme nights, Alamo makes the theater experience special again. Then it rounds out the experience with a full service menu that has a healthy selection (including beer on tap), is reasonably priced, and tastes pretty great.Done are my days of having to listen to the group of teenagers giggle, whisper, and text throughout a movie. Alamo has saved going to the movies for me!!

I know Alamo Drafthouse is pretty great, but I was disappointed with this location. We went to go see a movie that was both advertised on their website and on a TV screen when we arrived at the theater, only to find out they arent playing it that night and the front desk worker was clueless as to what was going on. She couldnt explain why it wasnt playing, why it was still be advertised, and didnt really have that great of customer service. I am hoping it was only a rare fluke, but it was disappointing nonetheless.

We were THRILLED when we found out Minnesota has an Alamo Drafthouse. We loved the ones in Austin, TX and this location lived up to the hype! Great staff and excellent food options!

My wife and I visited this establishment to have dinner and go to the movie. The facility, the drafthouse itself is very dark and cold feeling, service is poor the food is below average. The movie theater itself is very odd there is no concession stands for you to purchase popcorn, candy whatever you have to get. All of this is provided by a waitress in the theater and then have to tip the person it brings it to you, this is very odd. There is a very slim chance that I will visit this location again and the amount of money that I spent was way to much!!. My suggestion is go down the road a short three miles to the Marcus Theater and enjoy yourself. You will enjoy the friendly service and the great bar and concession stands by the way the pizza is outstanding.

The truffle popcorn is amazing, as is the buffalo califlower. Our wait staff was uninterested, kinda crabby and definitely didnt want to be at work. The seats are comfortable .

Prices for tickets and concessions are above your usual places, but Ill gladly opt to go to the Alamo instead when Im able because the cinematic experience is so vastly better.Amazing food you can order to the table at your seat, very strict noise/age rules that lets you enjoy your movie without people ruining it, and the house-made pre-show clips and special screenings make a true cinephile feel right at home, because they obviously are also!
