Told Chris about my disappointment and he was quick to make it right. Here scheduled another fitting for me with another one of his guys and it was excellent. Was fitted for a set of irons last year and loved the process. 5 stars that time. The lie, length of shaft, shaft type, grip was all taken into account based on my swing. Because it was so good, I went back to get fit for a driver. Paid the $30 for a fitting and all they did was grab 3 drivers off the rack and have me hit each one. No discussion of grip, what shaft would be best for my swing. Length, they just said this will be the same as your old driver. I specifically said I had never been fitted for a driver before. I dont necessarily want it to be the same, I would like to be fitted to whats best for me. Seems to be it really depends on who you get set up with for the fitting. Extremity disappointed in this last session.
So Ive been out the game for some years and starting to get back into it. The folks here answered all my questions as well as educated me in some other areas that I need to be aware of. I was upgrading my driver and found a very nice pre-owned Cobra at a very good price point for getting back into the game. The employees couldnt have been more helpful and educational.
I honestly don’t think half the people there know what they’re doing when it comes to club fitting never been fitted before but after watching videos of it And seeing the processes it was actually nothing like that I was asking a ton of questions and all I got was I don’t know don’t give me wrong the guy was super nice but just wasn’t what I was expecting the only thing I got out of the whole thing was another random employee came over and help me fix my swing I definitely would not go back there for a club fitting though.
My brother and I bought the odyssey stroke lab 19 v-line putter. They gave us the wrong putter cover. We called and they said the square mallet was the right one for a round mallet. With some research we found it was the wrong cover. Slightly annoyed when we paid $250 for each putter.
Walk in on a empty store to order a iron set. Get turned away because I don’t have a fitting scheduled. Zero customer service. I’m here to spend over $1000 on a new set of irons just to be told sorry we don’t have time for you on are empty store on a Tuesday morning. What a joke
As expected, no surprises. Covid slowing check out procedure down.
They have almost everything for golf and convenient shopping environment.
Good job
After checking out some of the choices, we were greeted by possibly a manager. My boyfriend told him he called about some used clubs they have and asked if they were still available. The manager proceeded to say, “ how about you look there and find out.” We asked where they would be and he said in the back. He then stayed there hovering while my boyfriend was explaining his current situation with his clubs. Didn’t say a word then walked away. I’ve never experienced someone so rude. He clearly should NOT be in retail. Doesn’t matter how we look or how old we are. Will not revisit
So I have purchased a full set of irons from the location and it has always been a good experience. For some reason I didnt get a 4 iron so I called in to order one. So I call in to ask them for help with ordering one to match all my irons. When Kevin answered he said What do you need, the phones are ringing off the hook and Im super busy. So I explained my situation and he interrupted me half with through my senario and said are they Ping ? I answered yes then he said there isnt anything I can do for you unless I have the serial number. Told him I have the serial number and I should be in your system and I would just like to pay or order over the phone Kevin just straight up told me no. Ive spent over $2,000 on clubs there and will never spend another red cent at any golf galaxy again. Im usually not the type one to write reviews but this Kevin guy so dismissive and unhelp it completely unprofessional.
The girl working scanned the wrong shirt without me knowing and i payed way more for it then it cost and when i tried to return it i got the actual price on the tag back so i lost a lot of money. they couldn’t give me cash back for it so now i have a gift card there that i will never use. took way too long for the return. the workers need to learn how to do their jobs.
Scott was an amazing employee went above and beyond to help me find the club that best suited me. Also wanted to mention the manager on today, I have had multiple encounters with him as I come there every day..... and he is very personable and loves helping people . What a solid team you have. Golf galaxy woodbury keep up the good work. Im Very impressed with your structure, coming from a retail management background myself.
After spending close to $2000.00 on golf clubs and accessories, they state they price match and I found my exact same calloway clubs online for cheaper but when I showed the manager it seemed like he didnt believe me. While standing there in the store he called the place I found and acted like he was going to buy the clubs. Gee woodbury manager you acted like I was robbing the place or maybe because Im a hard working American Mexican man. Prejudice much. I will never go back again and will be telling my friends and family about my experience. Thanks again.
Went there today. Adam greeted me right away and answered my questions promptly. Initially, very nice....After he greeted me and answered my quick questions, he said he was with someone who was hitting a club in the bay and would be with me as soon as he could. HOWEVER, he proceeded to help the next customer after me, answering his questions, very nicely. The thing that struck me as very rude and unprofessional was the fact that he THEN proceeded to take that customers order putting his club right on top of my clubs right in front of me AND my son. He finishes the order then proceeds to help the original customer who has now been waiting the while time as well. My son asks me Dad why didnt he help us first instead of the other guy? I said I am not sure. We walked out since it seemed no one wanted to help. We decided to walk back in to take a picture of the grip that he liked so we could go elsewhere to order and get the clubs regripped and also get a fitting done. Adam came over and said that he was now free to help. I told him I was upset that he ignored my son and me and proceeded to help the second customer after us. I said that was very rude and pretty crappy. There were 4 employees in the store that I could tell. Maybe all were busy. I did see someone go to the bathroom - he ignored us as well. I stopped in previously on Saturday. Spoke with Chris, a manager. He was awesome. My family and I have purchased over 20 sets of clubs, most from Golf Galaxy. We once purchased 4 sets of irons, 4 Drivers, and 5 Scotty Cameron putters at the same time. The staff was great then. Not so sure now. Recently, except for that time with Chris, it has been a fend for yourself event each time I enter Golf Galaxy. It seems employees are too busy to help anyone. I understand Golf Galaxy is a part of Dicks Sporting Goods now so they dont have to worry about customer service anymore. But it would have been nice to be treated like a customer. Not ignored. Adam may have been overwhelmed that night. But my young son still would like to know why we were ignored and another person was helped when we were standing there first. I dont know the answer. And I am willing to place bets that Golf Galaxy will be unwilling and unable to give us an answer as well. Boy.... What a night!! Please make sure you know what you want before going in if you have to. Buyers beware. Hope you get better service.
I was going to purchase Titleist AP2s from the Woodbury store in Minnesota. I was being helped by an associate named Larry. I was all set to buy these irons and trade in my old ones. While I was in the process of the trade in, Larry left me hanging out to dry. He was more concerned with helping a customer buy a putter grip than to assist me in buying new irons for a total value of $1,000. (Larry was working with me before the other customer had walked in) I left the store and the sale behind because of the customer service.I then took my business to the Richfield Minnesota Golf Galaxy to find the customer service provided by Bob (Salsa) Jacobs was top notch and professional. I purchased the Titleist AP2s because of his service. I will now be bringing more business to the Richfield store and look forward to working with their professional associates at that location.
I spent roughly $300 the day before and signed up for their Advantage club card and was hoping to add to it the next day .So I was looking to purchase the new R1 driver and waited for 20 minutes for help, employee set a club up for me to practice with and left and never returned. After hitting 30 ballls or so I searched and found another employee and he helped for a bit then just left and after searching the store could not find him either, I left the store and found it elsewhere.
Unbelievable. Purchased (or so I thought) a set of Ping G30 irons on 4/30/17. It is now 6/13/2017 and I am out over 600 dollars while having yet to see any hint of my irons. Called their corporate customer service, was told the order was untrackable due to its being a web special order. Was told to call the store. Called the store, was told Well look into it and call you back, received no call. Called the store a second time, was told Sorry, we are unable to track your order, I will leave a note for the store manager to call you tomorrow. Have receieved no call. Called again today, the phone just rings through, not even voicemail. As it stands I have no idea if my order will ever arrive, if it was ever placed, or if some employee just pocketed my 600 + dollars. Apparently, I will now be unable, even, to cancel my order and attempt to recover the money I have spent. Ive attempted to be polite, and see if my concerns would be addressed, but this has become unacceptable. Find another place to make your golf related purchase.
Worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my life. The staff seems like shoppers are an annoyance when they stop in, my pet hampster would offer more help in finding golf clubs.I will never step foot in this place ever again.
Employees are knowledgeable about golf and will work with you to make you happy
John Green is awesome. Has helped my swing tremendously.
Staff is always helpful without being overly intrusive.
Had 3 clubs shortened and regripped. Fast, Excellent service. Thanks.
Staff was great, listened to what I needed in my wedge set, bent and gripped two new vokey wedges for free.
Could not agree more with the last comment.I frequently got emails from golfgalaxy with discount coupon, and decided to use to buy nike golf balls. I checked golfgalaxy online just to make sure coupon can be used, and it worked. Decided to pay golf galaxy a visit to buy several boxes of nike rzn black tour, since I live near by. When I stepped into the store, I showed the coupon to the cashier...and he first said stay away from the titliest clubs, and i said I am not buying clubs.....then he said, stay away from the nike, taylormade titliest clubs....then i told him i am here to buy golf balls. THEN.....he said to stay away from the titliest golf balls. I then said, i am here to buy nike golf balls.....and THEN....again, he said stay away from nike and titliest. What a d8mm A#s ! I left because I got so frustrated....he would not even check! I decided to order it online instead and it worked, ordered three boxes of nike black tour. I even tested on nike clubs, just to see and it worked as well. I decided to call the store and complain about it. I dont mind if the coupon does not work, but at least check......coupon does not even say not including golf balls, etc. If you are not sure, check it, scan it, or, ask........I love nike, and been buying golf balls from the same store.....I am not pissed about not being able to use the coupon. i am pissed because of how the cashier acted ! Next time, when I decide to stop by there, I might give the cashier a hard time, since he gave one to me...hahaha.....
Great experience. Good service
