Played it for the first time in 10 years. And I was happy to see the changes being made. People need to understand fixing golf course is a work in progress. I always look for the best price for the best possible course. And with my home course re-doing the full course Westwood will be my new course until next season and will be added to my list of courses. To top it off is love to thank them for the discount for military. As a combat disabled veteran I greatly appreciated it.

Friendly staff! average fairways and greens but dried out from the summer weather. Tee boxes were a bit rough as well. The entire course was wide, so other players were never crossing over our fairways. Not perfect, but would recommend as a fun course.

Played here today for the first time in a long time. On the plus side, theyve begun to re-sod the tee boxes and the greens were in good shape - with the exception of a couple. On the minus side, the conditions through the green, hitting off hardpan too often when missing the fairway (which I do quite a bit!). A lot of blind approach shots make for a more challenging round, if youre unfamiliar with the layout. While they continue to put money into the course, Ive played on better tracks for the Saturday price ($57).

A little beat up here and there, tees werent great, and it had definitely been too long since the holes were cut. No complaints otherwise. Fun layout thats interesting without being too difficult.

Played today 10/21/20 couse overall is in relatively great shape. A few bare spots on a couple of fairways and maybe 2 greens had brown out, but I recommend and would definitely play again.

The Starter treated us like 2nd class citizens. He was a real jerk who moved a twosome ahead of us even though we had an earlier time. Would have been fine if he asked us, but was not respectful. He was indignant and unprofessional. He said his name was Larry.The course was overplayed and in bad shape. Would have taken 6 hours to finish 18 holes. It’s a shame because we played the course once before and had a decent time.

DO NOT GOLF HERE. Ranger followed our group around pretty much the whole day. He kept telling us we needed to golf faster even though we weren’t holding anyone up. Another Ranger told us the same thing. He said we should have finished the front 9 in 2 hours max. I told him if I had known that I wouldn’t have paid $65 to golf here. His response: “Well don’t come back we don’t want you here”. Save your money, don’t go to this place that makes you feel uncomfortable and rushed while trying to have a good time golfing. I’ll be sure to let anyone know that asks me about Westwood how terrible of an experience it was.

Worst experience ever - not only did they make us extremely uncomfortable, but they also are refusing to process my refund from September. I would not recommend playing here.

New owner has improved course and bar. The seahag in the pro shop who use to ruin the experience of playing here is gone.

They gave a discount due to aeration but the discounted could be at the top rate. Course very blatchy poor drainage. They are doing alot of work and the course is hard toplay on now. Maybe down the road things will be better.

Very disappointing, course was in lousy condition, a 5-hour around. Greens terrible, most tee boxes terrible. Some greens had new sod that looked like a blind person put it down. Not sure why so bad as it is to be a good, fun course. Worth $15 to play, not $57

Disappointed. The course is not in very good shape. The sod that they used on the tee boxes and parts of some fairways is terrible. The greens need work. Again.... I was disappointed.

Course layout was awesome but the course appears to be overplayed. Temporary repairs on fairway, tee boxes was a tell tale.

I played at Westwood on Thursday August 27th. They have a lot of nerve charging full price given the conditions. Resodded tee boxes with the sod mostly dead, and most of one fairway the same. Many of the greens a mess. A real disgrace

I was under the impression that golf courses were sending golfers out in carts individually, when I arrived at the golf course this morning they would not allow me to be a single rider, ( I have an underlying health condition so social Distancing is extremely important for me)But anyway, the person I was playing golf with walked the course to keep me safe, unfortunately we paid a lot of money to ride, I will probably not go back and play this course again, which use to be my favorite .

Kudos to Chef Hoy and staff for a great luncheon we experienced at the tavern with a group of folks recently. Exceptional from the menu choices, to the food prep/presentation, to the gracious and cordial service. Golfer or not you should make this the spot to hit for drinks, grab a bite to eat, or celebrate w/friends and family . Its on my A List when Im in the area .

Good course when in good condition. the whole course is a little fried but what can you really expect from the new jersey heat. owner is really nice and all cart management people are very nice. the worst fairway is number eight. it isn’t very pretty looking but hopefully it can be fixed through the off season and the course will be fantastic. can’t wait for next season already

Nice course for the average player, not alot of trouble. Courteous and friendly service. Bar/restaurant was a nice place to get a sandwich and a couple of beers when you are done your round. Nice Place.

Played Westwood today. Haven’t been there in awhile and probably be awhile before I play again! I’m a senior but the rate was $42 with aeration on the greens and the rough needing a cut. Most fairways had dead spots and or crabgrass. Tee boxes in bad shape. Also it seems most maintenance personnel were pretty miserable! Plus 3 foursomes on first tee acted like I was infringing on their place. Had to jump ahead to the third tee. I really used to enjoy playing Westwood!

Joined an afternoon 9 hole league with people I used to work with. Enjoyed myself immensely.

Horrible course horrible staff horrible owner wouldn’t play it if it was 10 dollars there going to pair you up with strangers with a covid 19 going around because it’s going to beat up the already terrible course give me a break

Ehh. Course is above average, well taken care of. The Ranger is a bit overwhelming, we get it keep up the pace. Our group was hurried along for 7 holes, yet we had to wait for the group in front of us for 4 of the holes. If your in the area its worth the fees. Its more of a 3.5 star for the course and 2 star for the experience and Ranger attitude. I would go back, but I wont be in a hurry too.

If you want to play a golf course that feels like a chip and putt then this is the course for you. Extremely short. The par 5s are really par 4s. The par 4s are all iron and wedges into the green. If you shoot in the 90s here then your really a 100 plus golfer at a real course.With that being said its in ok shape.

Excellent course for any level player and very affordable. They keep really good care of the greens here and the course wasnt crowded hardly at all. My only issue was that they dont seem to have Rangers preventing slow groups from holding everyone up.

Played 18 holes. The course is in good shape and the carts are kept clean and in good condition. A very nice place to play golf.

Absolutely horrible. First, the course is in really bad shape, tee to green. The bar/restaurant is a mess. Mismanaged and under staffed. Really, 50 minutes to get a liverwaurst. Sandwich. Man, you dont even have to cook it.

Usually a well maintained course. Last time I played the course had some beat up tee boxes, but the greens were all in good shape. Course is not overly challenging, but plays well. Usually a fairly quick round. Good price for the value.

Very fun to play, lots of hills and obstacles. Didnt seem to be kept the best, tee boxes were burnt up, but its been hot and dry recently. Would definitely play again, course layout is fun and a good challenge.

The course was in TERRIBLE shape. Dirt tee boxes, burnt out patchy fairways. Some of the greens were burnt out too. I asked for half of my greens fee back. Ive never done that before in over 35 years of playing. Very disappointing experience.

Played the course on Friday afternoon. Great rate for riding $41 at 1:08PM. First time playing this course. Most holes are fairly forgiving with some real tight ones also. Not too long but a fun play. Tee boxes were a little rough and some like concrete. Most greens and fairways were in good to great shape. Great value!

Greens are playing well and true, tees have recovered from last year and its a good course to go for a quick round.

Even with all the rain, the course is in pretty good shape. For a while, and still some areas, the grass was torn up with many tire tracks. They are fixing tee boxes and growing grass very nicely. I play here Sunday mornings. The greens are running nicely. Avoid first tee times as they are still clearing leaves off of greens.

Not a bad little course. Good for a quick round. Give it some time to recover from the winter.

I play regularly on many different courses, Westwood maintains the course as good if not better then courses that are far more expensive. The staff from the management to the greens keepers are friendly and helpful. If want a great experience book a round .

Have played a lot of courses in the South Jersey area....and always enjoy playing this course most of all. The conditions are always above average,,,,seems the grounds crew take pride in keeping the course looking good. Greens are challenging...hole positions are changed regularly ....as are some tee markers. Not an overly long course..but very challenging due to elevation changes..I know a lot of people complain about the Staff...but i find everyone to be quite friendly...yes yes even JANET....If you follow the rules..you will have no problem...The girls in the bar are the BEST....AS IS THE FOOD...Gotta try the Italian Grilled cheese sandwich....A nice day of golf at a reasonable price.

One of the best and reasonably priced courses in the So. Jersey area. Generally well maintained with a layout that provides an enjoyable round of golf for all skill levels. The owners are friendly and generally accommodating. Errant shots on the back 9 will cost you a few strokes.

Decent golf course for the price. Cart paths arent the best but the greens are fast and cups changed often. The course also has great topography and decent landscaping. The fairways arent the best but the arent the worst. They fall in the middle with some holes featuring well trimmed and quality grass and others arent so nice. Overall it is a good course to play for a decent price.

Enjoyed the course, though the holes were very tightly packed. However, despite being on time to tee off, the starter was very rude. We were rushed from the moment we made eye contact with him. I would recommend this course to other people, but the employees make that very difficult.

Customer Service at this course is the worst Ive experienced in the Philadelphia area. The management is rude, ignorant and does not run a golfer friendly course (particularly the old nasty grey haired woman). I recommend playing elsewhere, theres plenty of other great, customer friendly courses to choose from in South Jersey.

This is generally a good little golf course. A bit short but the back nine can offer some challenge. Conditions can vary depending on recent weather conditions. Bunker sand could be fluffier. Water barely comes into play. No practice range. The course recently changed hands so its hard to know how the new owners will manage. I really love to squeeze in a quick nine holes here whenever I can.

Public managed course.

Course was in good condition but the staff was very unwelcoming. Checked in and was handed a set of cart keys with no clear communication, and direction. Staff was in a bad mood and unpleasant. We missed our tee time and got backed up as a result even though we arrived on time because we weren’t directed to the first hole. Lack luster initial reception and bad first impression. Sunk the day before it started.

The New Owners saved this place for us and are upgrading with simulators, Better Concessions, Better Food. They are making our hidden gem shine alot more these days. Thanks to the New Ownership things are Poppin at Westwood, again.

Upcoming improvements are noticed but still too early in the season to see the results.Check the course out! Its nice and looks like its going to get better every day!

I play here a lot and the course is in always in good shape, Thanks to Dave and his crew. Doug & Bart have always been very friendly to me and are good people. Janet is the most arrogant and nasty person I have ever met at a golf course. If you can get out before she shows up you will have fun. I dont know off any of the regulars that like her. She needs to stay away or take management training, although I dont think there is enough training to take care of nasty!

Funky layout, super greens, undulation makes 2-putt difficult. Very reasonable fee, friendly folks, nice little bar upstairs, pro shop a little sparse, but new owners have made nice improvements.

Great value nice course. Not a snobby clientele as I typically experience in Jersey

Course is nice and in great shape but on a beautiful sunny 80 degree Saturday morning in late April, they allowed a foursome to walk the course...this proceeded to hold up EVERYONE for the entire day and we werent allowed to play through...the new ownership of this course should NOT allow people to walk the course on weekends when every tee time slot is full...VERY poor management to allow such a thing!!!

07/28/2014 - Played again at this course. It was $49 to play which I thought was pricey. The woman asked me Do you want to play on grass? .... .... silenceLots of dog legs not long but the greens are insane. Worth the price.I played a nine hole threesome on Sunday afternoon. Greens were -very- challenging.You wont need your driver much because there are a lot of dog legs. I sneaked some beer in so that is always a positive.

We went out on Fathers Day to have a good time there were six of us playin separate groups of three it was getting backed up so we joined together the owner told us to split up we did then they came back 30 mins later saying we were holding people up so we skipped a hole then was kicked out because we were told we skipped a hole to be spiteful horrible owner never goin there agian and too much money for horrible service also the employees will spit on you
