Great little art school. Offers a wide variety of art classes from photography, ceramics, welding and bronze casting etc... The teachers are very knowledgeable and welcoming.
Theyre showing off student work in the gallery. Some very good art.
Never been to classes but ive been to the community gallery and festivals. Very friendly staff and a sense of calm in their personality. I love it!
I enrolled in 2 classes. The first one was very disappointing. The instructor for our beginner class was not all encouraging or supportive of new students. Her approach came across as dismissive. We learned so little that I enrolled in an online course at Udemy for only $11.99 and learned much more. The beginner color class by Beth P. was very good and shes an excellent instructor. Very supportive and encouraging, and I would not hesitate in taking another class by Beth.
Great art school! I had a tour of the school and their programs, really impressive! Clean rooms, spotless restrooms, cozy garden area, I would recommend it not only for children in the summer camps but also for adults any age.
Lovely campus and close to home. Doug Bringle is a great teacher and mentor for expanding your ceramics skills as he has definitely helped me evolve. What follows is nothing about Doug but about the way Crealde runs its ceramics studio. The studio at Crealde has limited open studio hours and is slow to fire any student ceramics, so your turnaround on a finished piece can be lengthy. There is limited space to sit during open studio hours or use the glaze room or slab roller which is also supposed to be part of the class enrollment for you to make projects at home if you are enrolled in a crealde classes. Also even though you paid all the fees for a class and are a Crealde member you need to show up early for the class you enrolled in because there is limited seating...there is no distinction at Crealde between the people who are paying for a class and the relatives of employees, kind of crazy to me, which is why I have found another place to develop my ceramics skillset My last class was host to the studio directors adolescent daughter and his wife as well as several studio members...so there was less access to everything including a place to sit, glaze or roll slabs. Unreal !
Very unique and pretty little campus tucked away in Winter Park. I took an oil painting course after years of being self taught and it definitely taught me how to use the medium better and how to do shadowing/highlighting better. Its more of an open painting kind of class where the teacher comes around offering pointers and providing inspiration, there arent any hard deadlines for assignments or grades. Very fun experience!
This place is an absolute ! A treasure for the community!
Beautiful
Wonderful place to study. Very cozy, friendly instructors/staff. Will return for more training soon.
Great classes for kids and adults, pretty campus.
Reasonably priced art classes for all ages. Go see the place for its gem of a sculpture garden!
