Outstanding trails. Three trails are available. One around a small lake 2 miles in length. A second loop trail of 3 miles across a hammock. A third short loop at the start of the trails. This parking area is also the trailhead for the Panther trail. This trail will be 8 miles in length when completed. There is a stop at 5 miles. When completed, the trail will connect with the Fort Fraser trail. Outstanding site for trail hikers. Bring water. Beautiful lake views. Highly recommended.

I have been coming here for about 2 years nothing wrong with the land or the trail other than you guys seriously need to mow your property down so we can see the lake also the front entrance needs to be graded out.

This was my first of many returning visits I will have here. I decided the pups and I needed some time in nature and thought this place would a great place for a new adventure together. Overall, this Reserve is very, very clean and has nice signage to direct you. I do not having anything negative to report. However, considerations for next time. Bring more water and poop bags(thankfully, mine didnt have to go; but next time may be different). Also, wear good shoes. This trail is also open to horses so be watchful of their landmines.

I very much enjoyed my hike through the trails here. With the recent rain it has some very wet areas especially along the Acorn Hammock loop. The Osprey Loop around the pond was high and dry. Most of the Panther was closed, Im assuming from all the rain and I havent gone through the Palmetto loop yet. Dogs are welcome on leashes and my Bailey Bug had a great time sniffing and tromping around the paths.

Very nice secluded area with minimal foot traffic. You will have some traffic noise from the nearby toll road, but it is not overwhelming.

This peaceful place is an enjoyable hiking area. Bikes and horses are welcome, and this area welcomes your leashed pet. The trails wind around Lake Hancock, showcasing beautiful birds and flowers. Many of the trails are unshaded, plan accordingly.

Beautiful walk around the pond. Got stuck I. A thunderstorm and showers and had to take cover in the brush. Bad weather prohibited us from hiking all the way to Lake Hancock. Well be back

Fabulous scenic open space for cycling, hiking, jogging, dog-walking, Nordic Pole walking, horseback riding. Spaces of huge coverings of trees providing coolness & shade. Open air around the lake.

Excellent nature trails around a large lake and through Florida shady scrub areas. Great for horses, bikes, dogs - well packed and blazed ground areas. Just need to keep pets on leash - gators in lake are HUGE! Walk around the whole lake is about 2.5 miles, a perfect weekend morning, with lovely view. Bring sunscreen and water...

One of my favorite local parks! You xan take your dogs with you and it links up with Panther Point Trail that goes all the way to Bartow. Its more secluded than other local trails. So if youre looking for a nice trail with lake views and minimal foot traffic, thia is where its at. Also, the path around the firat lake is grass and sand, which makes a great running/ walking trail. Easy on the knees.

Does the beauty of nature, the peacefulness of the woods, or the thrill of the wild peak your interest? Then this is the spot youre looking for. Its a bird watchers dream. An area of Florida untouched except by mother nature herself. As you walk the trails you can see alligators, fish, birds of all sort, and much, much more.

Great hike, not a lot of tree cover on the main loop but was very breezy so that made up for it, still probably a more colder weather trial.
