Ever since they renovated this theater, I only come here! I used to only go to the grand but AMC has definitely upgraded. The only thing is, the theaters are either freezing or super hot! Great service.

We went for the girl scout premiere of frozen 2. My older girl was Elsa. She had a great time and both my girls liked the movie, even the teen. The staff was friendly and fast. There were so many little girls there with their parents and they managed to move everything along well. There were activity tables also. I only wish there would have been more seating.

Awesome movie theater with reclining seats and theyre even heated seats when you push the button. Most comfortable time at the movies ever. I highly recommend it.

Best movie theatre in town. Good movies. Good selection. Comfortable seating. Clean (as clean as any theatre can be). Food and drink lines are slow and very overpriced though. Bathrooms are nasty.

Really Glad AMC did the complete remodel, The place is so much better now then it used to be. Used to hate driving all the way to The Grand for reclining seats. The reclining seats at AMC Hanes 12 have heat!. Big plus over The Grand. Now with reserved seating too! Love AMC 4 Life!

Upon arrival theres signs stating the theater is still closed. Then when you do enter theres no sanitary way to butter your popcorn. They simply had a squeeze bottle of butter on the counter. The theater was filthy! Popcorn everywhere and the crazy thing is my movie was the first showing of the day! Leftovers from the night before, it was obvious no one cleaned or sanitized anthing.

I hadnt been to this theater in a long time but the newly renovated theaters are very nice. I appreciate the new chairs, the line for concessions moved quickly and all the staff was very friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed being able to buy my tickets in advance, reserve our seats and not waiting in line to get in. I think its worth the convenience fee, but based on our experience this time, Id say waiting in line for tickets would have been just as acceptable. Its nice to see a place that appears to be appropriately staffed this days, I hope it continues. Will definitely plan to return to this theater.

Excellent recliners. We entered auditorium 12 just as the previews were finishing and werent many seats left except up front. Recliners recline far enough to view the screen very comfortable. In other type seats my neck would be hurting. Good variety of food, but took about 10 minutes after waiting in line for 10 minutes to order.

I have visited this movie theater in the past, but this was the first time I noticed the seat warmers. They might be new, as the theater is undergoing a re-model. Anyway, in addition to the usual amenities - well-stocked concessions, spacious restrooms, several screening rooms, slightly bored adolescent attendants - AMC on Hanes Mall Blvd has roomy stadium seating that can fully recline and that features lumbar support that heats up. I was more comfortable than I have ever been in a movie theater! Only downside - half an hour of previews and commercials before the feature started - has become common practice, I believe. Go, enjoy.

This place has really stepped up their game! Since the remodel the theaters are more spacious with reclining heated seats. The snack bar has more availability to include hot items like soft pretzels, Pizza, as well as beer and wine. Dont be surprised that the tickets have gone up a little bit to cover these costs, but its worth it!

The newly renovated theater now has reclining and heated seats! The menu options have expanded as well. The movie theater experience has definitely upped its game. We bought tickets ahead of time through an app, and the check-in was smooth. Our interactions with employees were positive and helpful. There is still ongoing renovations, but they were prepared with extra staffing due to the high volume of patrons.

Just saw the fan screening here for Weathering with You Absolutely amazing movie. The theater was packed and the service up front was great. Staff were great help.

Great place, comfortable seats. I hadnt been in awhile so I didnt know u had to make reservation online. Should be able to just go spur of moment n see a movie. Otherwise awesome

This theater has always been a family favorite, but after the new renovation, the screen quality has severely decreased. The new reclining seats are nice, but I have seen three separate movies there in the last 3 months, and each time the screen has blacked out or gone static throughout the whole movie. When I went to see Little Women, 1/4 of the screen turned green every five minutes. Do not recommend unless you want to be distracted the whole time.

If you havent been since the renovation you have to give it a try. The newly configured seating is amazing. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because they have so many ticket & food packages to explain that it was almost a 15 minute wait behind just one person.

Exorbitantly expensive. Even with a senior discount it was 50 dollars for two people, candy, a small portion of pretzel bites, and complimentary water (6 oz). The theater was freezing even with the heated chairs. To top it off, the movie sucked. I walked out feeling completely ripped off. Ill stick with the 2 dollar theater on Peters Creek . On 2 dollar Tuesdays you get two tickets, two medium popcorn, two sodas, and two candy of your choice for a total off 16 dollars. AMC 12 Hanes mall can keep its heated chairs. Ill NEVER GO BACK

Had a good experience here today but the nearly 30 minutes of previews needed to be improved upon. I understand the need for them but either not so many movies previewed or shorter times given per not yet released titles.

First time we have ever been and we absolutely loved it. The seating is awesome and spacious.

It was good. I dont go to the movies much, so I am not sure how this compares but it was clean, seats had heat and recline. We were in a theater that was having heating issues (that they knew about and were trying to fix and had that posted) but it was cold in there! So that was the only negative.

Watched Rise of Skywalker here. The reclining seats are wonderful & very comfortable. The arm rest can be lifted up between you n your significant other for snuggles.

Man! This was like watching movies at home if you had a theater in your house! Believe it or not. I took my shoes off and kicked back and enjoyed the show!

No matter how many times I go there, it doesnt matter that I have the stubs membership or the a list, the employees there just do not seem to want to help. Youre supposed to be able to stand in the a - line and get faster service. But you dont. They just go to the next person in line from the other line. They look at you before they call the other person. It doesnt even matter if the both of you walked in the lines together, ie the same time, because you friends seeing the same movie. When you wanna use your membership they dont seem to know how to navigate through the process. If it wasnt right next to my house I wouldnt go there. But i love the 3 free movies a week with the membership and that beats the poor customer service...

This place has been here for decades. It used to be wynsong 12. My family has always supported this theater. It is just disappointing that they refuse to maintain it well. They are slowly replacing the seats but there is no IMAX! The staff is friendly but lack enthusiasm and can be slow. It makes you wonder how they are treated. To add insult to injury they do not offer most of the AMC Artisan films or ANY urban movies here. They only offer them at AMC 10 which is even more poorly maintained theater. That is disappointing and makes you wonder about there company culture and business strategy. There have been four urban films released in the last 6 months. Not ONE has been in this theater.....

It look like they upgraded... but I turned the seat heat on and started smelling gas...I was like, smell like I lit my fireplace yeah..I turned it off and dern near froze.....but I wasnt trying to put nobody in danger....and I wasnt ready to go to the upper room

We have noticed this particular theater does not show newly released black movies. For example The Movie Harrett released Friday is not showing. In the past my wife and I have waited for the last three newly released movies geared for black consumers and each time there was a no show. I am wondering if this is by design. Not to service the black community at this particular theater. If thats so, the practice is racist and demeaning for black consumers who lives 5-10 miles from the theater. My wife and I go their often when we want to see recently released movies. Their staff is always friendly and accommodating. Like most theaters refreshments are expensive. They are currently upgrading their facilities and we look forward to seeing what changes are being made.

Great experience. It wasnt sitting in a recliner chair and reserved seating, but I was able to get last minute tickets and see Avengers Endgame on opening day which was fantastic for me! Pretty decent concessions prices and had a good time

I went to Hanes mall on Sunday September 22.It was the worst experience I ever had at a movie. First of all was the food. I ordered 2 medium bags of popcorn and 1 medium drink and It cost me over $22.00. Outrageous prices, The service was also very slow.Then went I finally got into the movie which was supposed to start at 2:20pm I had to sit through close to an hour of advertisements and movie previews.I will never return and will tell everybody I know about my experience.Kathleen Watt

This is our regular movie theater. About average in terms of amenities and pricing. They have half of the complex shut down for renovations. Cant wait to see what kind of improvements they are doing.

Getting tickets takes way too long at the window. But heated seats made frozen 2 watchable.

Sound quality is what youd expect at a movie theater. Bathrooms are what youd expect at a hole-in-the-wall bar. Projector window randomly had to be wiped down because the picture was completely blurred. After the movie I literally got home and researched how much $$ it would take to open a theater... feel like Id make back after having been here.

Went to go see a movie that was listed on the AMC Classic Winston Salem website for our anniversary. When we got there, the movie wasnt even playing there. I rechecked online while there and it even let me enter into the site to purchase tickets for this movie that wasnt even playing at this location. We had to leave and go to a different theater across town. The website needs to be kept updated.

Movie was outstanding. Prices to high for food and drinks. So sad,you cant enjoy a snack while watching movie. Makes it hard for families or anyone.

They are doing some good updates to this facility. But what concerns me is, when I went into the mens room, there was no water for either of the two sinks. That raises sanitation questions. I reported it and, when I came back later, the faucets could turn the water on.

The remodel is awesome!!!! New reclining heating seats are great!!!! Only issue is only 1 bathroom.

I went last Tuesday watched joker movie. I wasn’t enjoy that movie because not comedy movie . Everything was good .

Everything went fine. It wasnt crowded and we got to the movie quickly. Sound and lighting were good. Im definitely going back. They upgraded their seats and theyre so comfortable now.

The building is being renovated as of 06/2019. Will be nice when its done. Cant stand that they play the audio so loud! Bring earplugs to protect your hearing!

Really like the place a lot, been there multiple times with family and friends. But a regular drink and popcorn cost me about the same as the total amount for 3 people going out to eat at olive garden. But hey, the theater gotta make their money some how. I recommend it if you live in the area.

Old & busted! Concession stand needs more options. The whole place needs a major upgrade! Website said they had recliner seats but our theatre didnt. Major let down. Couldnt really enjoy the movie.

It was okay but weird and time consuming the way we had to buy our tickets at the refreshment counter. It took FOREVER. Also, the theater we were in smelled like derriere a little. Other people commented on it too. The place was clean, the bathrooms were clean too, so thats a plus. Its a great location with adequate parking. The staff was friendly but some were very slow.

Nice theater. Seats are fairly comfortable. Prices for tickets are great also. The snacks on the other hand, I paid $20 for two small sodas, and a small popcorn.... Kinda ridiculous. But I guess they gotta make money somewhere. Overall great experience though.

The stadium seating is a plus, but the only plus I can think of. There are a lot of great review comments about the staff but most of the times that I have been there I have not seen any staff except at the concession stand, where you have to buy tickets, standing in line behind all the people who are there to buy snacks for their entire families. Popcorn prices are astronomically high. Dont worry about being on time for the show since you will be treated to a minimum of five commercials and eight to ten previews before the movie starts. Whatever genre the movie you have come to see falls into, all the previews will be of the same genre. If the feature is an action flick, you will see previews for ten more action flicks; no comedies, no docudramas, no family flicks. I suppose a focus group held at the Home For the Feeble Minded once indicated that consumers never vary in their choice of movies. No movie titles are posted on the large marquee visible from the road. The theater does not advertise at all in the local newspaper. The only way to find information is to seek it out online for yourself. Overall, I believe management has a good grasp of the fact that they have little competition on this side of town.

We watched a movie this past weekend. The movie was really good and we had a good time. My only complaint was that the place was a little sketchy looking and slightly dirty.

At the movie, only 3 couples.Yes 6 people.Its Thanksgiving night, lets go shopping or go home to eat some more Turkey.O the movie was great. The staff were super great.

I work in mental health and come here a lot for outings. The Tuesdays are great for the $5 pop corn and drink, but everything else is just like other theaters but they are not updated as say the grand. I paid just as much to get in as the AMC and I so enjoyed their leather laid back seats. Here you dont get that...

This is my favorite theatre...has been for years....always courteous people here and Ive never been unable to get a ticket to a movie...might just be luck...might be scheduling...dont know..dont care...I love the place

Do you know if you see a 4-5:30pm showing its only $5.50? Thats cheaper than childrens, senior citizen AND matinee prices! Popcorn and snacks are good here but WAY CRAZY over priced. Staff is helpful and kind. They have lost and found and are happy to help when you leave giant umbrellas behind. Theatre is clean and sound is great.

Im the movie theater now. I had to go inside to purchase my grandkids and myself tickets. We waited in line for 12 minutes at the concession stand to purchase the tickets. I asked was the popcorn hot. I was told yes, it was stone cold. Bad experience and wont be back.

It was fine, doing alot of remodeling, had to ask the person in front of me to stop using his phone. Some people are so inconsiderate.

They have seats that lay back also there heated now thats a way to watch a movie

Drove from another county today to see Oceans 8 at 2:30 pm. Upon arriving and going for the tickets, the staff said, Oh, that doesnt start until 4:30. The website is set by corporate not us. You can come back at 4:30. No apologies...just a look of well you should have known. Here is a thought, can the manager check the website and maybe show the movies at the time corporate has indicated OR contact corporate and report an issue???? How would people know otherwise??? Will call ahead for sure from now on.

Places age is showing a bit. I suggest not keeping people outside on cold busy nights.

I give 4 stars because they always have great movie options...but theaters sometimes smell
