Such an awesome museum! A lot of hands on things to do along with a lot of interesting information. The walk out over some of the crater was so much fun! Definitely worth stopping for!

You can see it in an hour, or take your time, take the guided tour, and probably spend about 3 hours. Impressive sight, for sure.

I mean it’s nifty but the $22 price tag is a bit steep. Looking areas and telescopes and a cafe in there for the hungry (looks like they only do hot and cold sandwiches and drinks). Has a museum and gift shop as well (crystals and dream catchers anyone?). The crater is actually very cool and easy to photograph.

Didnt do the full guided tour but rather walked and viewed st own pace. Cool to see it and there is a tone of information on it in the museum. Be prepared to walk some step because there is a ton of them !

Way too expensive for the time it takes to see this, but there is really nothing like it. I could not resist stopping here and taking a look. Something I have always seen in pictures. Pretty dope.

Very interesting place but the entrance fee was too expensive in my opinion. $22. For two people it gets expensive not to mention a family of four. Grand Canyon is $35 for a whole car.

Pretty cool, nice facility, but note that it is privately operated so your National Park pass is no good here. Entrance fee is $22.

I wouldnt pay another 18$ to look at a hole in the ground. It was cool to read about the history of this place on the plaquards, but I wish I knew before I went how much it was. I just stopped in thinking it was free or a few dollars. The pictures online are probably more than enough to look at than going if you are contemplating it.

This outdoor landmark is blocked by a building that costs cash to get in, and of youre traveling with a pet, they cant join you... For this outdoor landmark.

Review №24

Interesting place. The crater is worth seeing. It’s bigger than we expected. We also watched a movie in the theatre, it was very interesting too. This is a quick stop, it took us less than an hour. The downside is the price: I personally think $18 is a bit too expensive for this. We visited Bearizona ($22) and Deer Farm ($14) on the same day, and the crater doesn’t seem to need to be priced that high. $10-15 would be more appropriate.

They dont tell you they charge $18 a person to see what you can see on Google maps... look it up - I just saved you a bunch of $$$. Not worth it - all they do is complain that the government wont fund them but yet theyre the ones that choose to keep the place to themselves instead of giving it to the government to maintain and manage... i.e. FUND. Dont waste your time.

Meteor Crater is the kind landmark that your children will forever resent you if take them there. There is a Subway restaurant built in, for crying out loud. Nobody that works there actually wants to be there. It is prideless. Although I do not know if prideless is truly word, I can merely verify that I took no pride in visiting.

I really enjoy going to this place the walkthrough the place was amazing the video was awesome the museum was very nice the prices although were a little bit hi if youre just going there while youre on vacation its kind of hard to afford everything youre going to go see so this place was a little expensive I would recommend them lowering the price and then it would be the best place to go around there good to go when you going to the Grand Canyon as well

Ch
Review №63

WOW! What a great place to visit and experience what an asteroid traveling at 26,000 miles per hour can do when it impacted earth 50,000 years ago! There is an option for a rim tour - a must, plus the interactive Discovery Center is quite informative. The facility is very clean, well managed, easy to get to off I40, the gift shop is worth a stop and what a person can learn while at the observatory is beyond words. A must stop for space enthusiasts and family!

Jo
Review №64

They are currently (as of July 2018) building additional area onto the visitor center, but does not interfere with customer access. Museum area is up to date and interesting history lesson of the site. We were there around lunch time, so stopped by the Subway shop. Price is comparable to usual Subway stores, and Free Cookie ticket is included with entry. I first saw this crater in the 60s as young child, and just took my son to see it. I was more amazed this time at the size of it. Hard to imagine a rock(block of Iron) about the size of 2-story house made that hole.
