A nice place for a quick midday paddle or a walk around the lake. Easy access to put a kayak in with the parking lot right next to the launching area. The mountain views are usually lovely. Unfortunately on this day the smoky air from fires to the west hazed over the view. Lots of birds on the lake for nature lovers.
Very nice park! There is a small lake with a nice swim beach that has plenty of space. Lots of open field to throw a ball around or play a game. 99% of the grass is green and well kept. I didnt notice any dirt patches throughout the entire park. Theres also sand pits for volleyball that looked to be well taken care of. There are a few gazebos or sheltered areas with tables. I believe you can call and place a reservation or rent a covered picnic area. I think I remember seeing public restrooms as well. If not there a many places close by that do have restrooms. Only downside is parking. Theres a fair amount of parking spaces but fills up fast so may have a little bit of a walk. Overall a great place for any size group. Definitely worth checking out.
Walking pad. Swimming beach in the summer. Fishing. Food and bathroom location. Benches. Over all a very nice park
Weve always loved this park. The kids love being able to rent the paddle boats and canoes. They ate very reasonable too. Weve rented a covered shelter a few times and the only thing were didnt like was there were people already using the space and we had to have them move. I think it would have been easier to have a sign saying it would be reserved . But overall we really enjoy spending the day here.
I went here for a small picnic with a friend and it was quite enjoyable
Great park, water temp was nice for swimming. All around well taken care of.
Nice playground with expansive picnic shelters. Great grassy areas for all your activities. Playground is close to swim beach, so you could hang out here all day!
Great Beach. Trees for shade. Bathroom very close. Parking very close.
Love it here! Peaceful & calm, yet still alive and active. Clean beach, beautiful water, and a great place to be with friends and loved ones
Waffle Lab food truck is great
The walk around the lake is enjoyable
Absolutely top tier. Its well maintained, I love the concerts they put on here. The area for swimming is a little small, but its usually not too overwhelmed of people. They werent various water crafts, in the sense of paddle boards and those water bicycles. The path around the lake is a very nice walk, and the views in every direction are scenic. Make a point of going here if you want to see something they are showing, because the stage is great.
Thanks to the employee spreading fertilizer or seed, with the pressure settings WAY TOO high, I was pelted TWICE in the face with the it. It was VERY PAINFUL! I was very lucky I was wearing sunglasses and a helmet! When I circled the lake and saw him again I told him to set the settings lower because if I had been a child I could have been seriously hurt! I tried calling Park & Rec but they are closed for a week. He didn’t apologize, and barely even looked at me. Not cool.
Nice clean. And patroled which I liked.
Came out for the summer concert series. We had so much fun! The lake was closed but we didnt have a problem with it. It was a great family environment, and the music was good too
Great city park!
Nice spot in a fantastic town
Great lake for boating and water rec
This is a fund park right next to Windsor Lake. Its evolved through the years and remains a great place to come, play, relax, or have a picnic. Our most recent visit was for the Thursday night summer concert series. Lots of people having a great time!Highly recommend.
Very nice playground for kids here. theres a pavillion with shaded picnic tables. there is a nice sandy beach here, no lifeguard on duty though. you can take your blow up float tubes & pool noodles there. there is a concession stand open in summer & also you can rent paddle trikes, stand up water boards. mini kayaks & other equipment by the half hour for only $5. The beach & lake are free to enjoy.
Great park fun things to do
Very beautiful fun spot! I just attended for the Summer Concert Series, which was awesome. Great music. Great food. Great time for the whole family, including the furry ones!
My husband and I stop to check it out, cant wait to see it in the summer
Terrific Thursday night concerts in the summer where much of the community gathers with their picnic blankets and folding chairs to enjoy a variety of live music. Beer garden is available along with many food trucks. Kids can go swimming in the Windsor Lake, play sand volleyball or play on the playground.
Such a family friendly place
The firehouse museum is an extra treat. The people there are terrific.
Super nice area for a walk or exercising the dog. Nice playground. Easy parking. Check out the Town of Windsor website or Windsor Rec Center for summer concert series and special events. There is a swimming beach. Also close to eating establishments. Great place for an after dinner stroll. Neat coffee shop right at the corner and picnic tables if you just want to stop and have a coffee and journal for a while.
Always a good time. Clean park. Great events. My kids adore it here!
Cool, small park, summer swimming, paddle board, popular music venue, museum area, great cement trail around lake.
Love our little towns park! clean, safe, friendly
Its a very nice park. Its spacious. They have a children playground with plenty of selection of equipment. It has a little beach and water marked off for swimming in. It has plenty of picnic tables with a pavilion. My only complaint is that the lake has a net around it. So, the fishing has to be done from a boat or from a specific party of the lake which gets crowded in the summer.
Nice park. Has lots of rentals to use on lake. Concession stand and a flavored ice truck. Playground and volleyball net too.
Went to the music and booth get together there it was small but had a good time and listened to good music and had good drinks and eats
Great place to take the kids or just to get out and about!
This park is great for toddlers and young kids. It appeals to a broad spectrum of development levels. Its a favorite!
I loved this park! A great sized lake with rentable paddle boats & boards, concessions, (that dont cost an arm & a leg, which is good, cause youll need those for swimming ) a beach, tons of grass, free parking & a trail around the entire lake. Its great for kiddos, dogs & ️bathers!!!! Its tucked in a neighborhood just off of 7th & main (nearest major cross streets).
It was a nice little beach front. Not a lot of open space or beach but quite neat
Well 5 stars might be overkill for how crowded it can get. Plus it gets too loud at night every thursday, but I still like it.
The music was good but most of the lyrics were about drinking. To me it was sad as this should be more family focused on a Thursday evening.
Nice trail and good views of the range
Nice walking path. And the concerts in the parks are so fun.
Very nice park with plenty of shaded tables and great playground equipment. There are a number of buildings and a train station displaying early life in Windsor which were unfortunately not open during my visit. The lake appears to allow swimming, boating, and fishing (in different areas) and there is a pretty long walking path around the lake. The train passes pretty close to the playground which might be an interesting spectacle to some kids.
This park is gorgeous. Theres a lake, a beach, canoes and paddle boards, and a great spot for fireworks on the 4th of July.
Gotta see. Great for kids as well.
Very beautiful place, well maintained. Great job City of Windsor
The lake is gross but everywhere else is nice.
I grew up in Windsor only to leave after school. The place has grown well. Boardwalk was nothing but a place to park next to the lake. Now its an epicenter of fun and relaxation. Summer bands on Thursday with plenty of water sports to enjoy.
Love it here! Great environment with family and friends.
Great place have picnic walk around Lake. Has rentals and snack bar.
Great little walk around the lake, dedicated dog water area.
Nice place to relax
Great park. Windsor could do a better job picking up trash.
The Windsor concert series is a great time. The band was awsome
Live close by, Moved here from North Carolina and love this area.
Lovely walking path around the lake. Mountain views, pet friendly and peaceful.
Boardwalk park has cheap rentals for various water craft (paddle board, water trikes, kayaks, etc) there is a huge grassy area, fantastic sandy beach and a great ADA playground. Concerts all summer long on Thursday make for a wonderful night as well.
We like going to the concert in the park and the little ones like to swim at the the swim beach.
Beautiful park with tons of stuff for kids and families to do!
A very nice Park on the lake in a cute little town! My ONLY complaint is that there were no restrooms available. People in Colorado still visit parks in the winter, and they still need bio-breaks!
Nice playground for kids. Well kept and next to the lake.
Good place to spend during the summer months.
The weld county humane society has yappy hour at the park once a month in the summer it was great fun
Enjoying the playground with grandkids. Can actually walk into the water and not feel nasty stuff under n in between your toes..
Theres always something fun going on at this park. The Town of Windsor hosts community events for free several times a year. Today was Windsor Winter Wonderland.
Day!Fishing, boating and picnicking all in one! Great place to just take the family out for the
What a little gem. Such a cute downtown.
There are many events in the town of Windsor at this location. During the summer we can come swimming here for free, they have free events throughout the year and of course theres a playground. My children and I love to come to Windsor just for this location
Fun
Large lake to walk around, fun play area for kids and a museum.
The playground is large and accommodates kids of just about any age and/or ability. Large grassy areas, adjacent to the lake swim beach, decent amount of shade, ample parking. Volleyball courts, restrooms, water fountain...this park really has about all you could want.My biggest knock in this park is that its often really busy, and people who pull their boats into the lake often block up traffic in and out of the south parking lot much longer than they need to.
A wonderful park. Has a full playground for all age groups and covered picnic tables. Is a 1 minute walk to the Windsor Lake beach for swimming, rest rooms or hunting for crawfish by the boat ramps. Year round events and live music on Thursday Summer nights.
First concert of the summer 2018!! The Tom Petty tribute band this evening did a great job!! Weather was great, food was great, everything was great!! We really enjoyed this event!!
Wide open has playground for kids fishing for adults room for big groups to meet
Beautiful as usual. Wish the restrooms opened a little earlier.
Could use a few more mainstream sports amenities like a softball field or basketball courts. Also the dormant village on the west side of the park is basically useless and includes a small building described as a Shanty? The lake is great for paddle boarding however and I do like the bike path.
Went for Oktoberfest, internet info misleading as to start time being 1 or 2pm, so I went for 1:30 - it had sarted at 1:00pm. No shade for seating, but a good amount of communal table/bench seats; the dance floor was covered. Band was pretty good, but NO German music. There were a lot of lawn games so kids were happy. One beer vendor and some food vendors. Park is pretty and clean.
Great place to sit on the beach or rent a paddle board or a tricycle water tractor and play on the water. Such a wonderful local resource.
Who would have thought you can have a beach out in the middle of the country this is most definitely some of that hidden Colorado Beauty almost like Batmans Batcave you dont even know its there until youre in there.
Very clean and well maintained.
