Nice, shaded picnic tables near the dirt and gravel parking lot just off Pleasant Valley ....on the southern edge of the disc golf course. FYI: The black squirrels are very comfortable with humans. Protect your nuts!

This place was great and free thank you. It has a large dog and a small dog area separated to keep the dogs safe . Love the water fountains its very handy. It could use some work as far as safety goes. The cement pad under the picnic table needs to be level with the ground so maybe put mulch or dirt to make it level so the dogs dont break a leg running around. Also there were some sticks coming out of the ground like roots or something that should be looked at because that can also stick into a dogs leg and cause an injury. Also maybe look into putting trees along the highway side to block the noise from the highway its very noisy from the traffic. Having the grass is nice.

Wow, this park has everything. Especially loved the disc golf course, but also noted a horseshoe arena!? And BMX track. Great place to come for anything!

Decent dog park but right next to loud interstate. It would be nice if they opened up Oak Dr so that there was a faster route to the dog park.

He park has a lot to offer. A BMX park, baseball, softball, and soccer fields, a pool, a water park, a Clean paved walking/running path, pavilions for small group gatherings. A Rolling Thunder monument to the fallen soldiers who are from this area. Plenty of open fields to just sit and meditate. Hills for winter sledding. We use the park all year round

Im an avid Pokemon Go player. Tons of gyms and stops. But if you dont play, theres a beautiful pond with tons of ducks and you can even fish there. Theres a nice park for your children to play at, a swimming pool, a baseball field, a bmx track and a dog park

Dog is not maintained very well. Grass not mowed enough. Too much mud. Dont stock poop bags. Water fountains most of time have something wrong with them. Gate is barely latched.

Its big but should have more places to play.

Great spacious park with nice paved trails. Very clean. The Korean, MIA, and POW memorials are also there. The memorials are worth seeing. Dogfriendly too!!

Nice park but 1/2 is closed down Winchester hasnt opened some gates.

The dog park is awful. I have found pieces of broken glass in the mulch and in the dirt. Too many dog owners that allow their dogs to get overly stimulated and become aggressive, my dog has been bitten twice.

Beautiful, clean baseball park for the kids. I didnt get to explore any other areas, but the ballpark is great.

My kids absolutely love this park. Alot of nice equipment to play on. Grounds and playground equipment are very well maintained.

I go to the dog park quit often. Always meet great people & more friendly dogs. I love the space. They have much more there as well. Even across the way is a pretty awesome church.

Plenty of space. Different terrain. Even a stream and trout pond. Frisbee Golf. Remote control area.

A great place to run, swim, hike, and do frisbee golf. There is an outdoor gym around the black-topped trail, plenty of room to run with pets, and great stopping points for picnicking!

Stopped while looking for a new laptop computer. Had a very attentive sale person who was knowledgeable about the laptops. Unfortunately didnt find a computer at this store.

Just a very well kept park. The trails are in excellent shape for running or walking. Trash is always picked up in a timely manner and the facilities are great for families and pets. Havent tried the swimming pool, but plan to this summer. A nice place for a picnic and a walk.

This is a beautiful park with wonderful walking paths. It is really a great place to take your dog for a walk! It is always incredibly clean and the lawns are well kept. It even has a great jungle gym and play area for children. It is the perfect spot for a picnic or to just get your daily walk in!

Very nice park in a nice area. The greatest part was the kids all play with each other. Being apart of a digital age this isnt common anymore. Happy to see that people can still teach their kids to get dirty.

The whole park is great, but this review is specifically for the dog park. Since they made the dog park free, my wife and I take our two dogs at least five times a week. It is well maintained, with lots of space for the dogs to run. There are two stations with pick up bags and a water station. The only thing I will caution is that although toddlers and children are not permitted, some bring them anyway.If you are there and someone arrives with a toddler pack up and leave or go for a walk. Do not risk your dog hurting their child. Although none of our dogs would purposefully hurt a child, not all dogs have experience with children pulling on their ears or slapping their backs.Also, the whole point is for them to run around and they might just be excited and run into the child, which could be very dangerous. I had someone tell me this morning thats what happens when you make it free. I still think it was a good move to make it free but it is up to all of us to make sure it stays open by avoiding accidents. Sorry this was a long review!

Always a good time with lots of friendly kids around for your kid to play with. There are two playgrounds side by side, a lake you can walk around, a field where people kick around soccer balls, a mini golf course Ive never seen anyone use, and even indoor and outdoor pools.

Summer, outdoor, long course swimming, ahhhh, nothing better!

Lovely pedestrian street in Old Town with shops, restaurants, street musicians and historic architecture. Beautiful parks, top notch theatre at Shenandoah University and cival war history abounds. Great weekend getaway only a couple hours from DC metro area!

This park has a lot!! Theres a nice walking trail that can be seen from Pleasant Valley Avenue. Theres a gym located next to the pool. The pool has a slide, a child section, and a diving board on the 12 ft side. It also has a concession stand & tables. Theres a playground near the lake, a tennis court, and a lot of free parking all around. Shenandoah University is basically located in this park. Its a beautiful park thats well maintained.

The park is nice. The disc golf needs to be a little better prepped. Some of the holes dont have proper tee shot areas. With some miner improvements could be 1 of the courses in Va.

Jim Barnett offers great walking paths. They also have an awesome playground.

A huge park with plenty of activities from disc golf, horseshoes, swimming, and more. Cant wait to visit once more thing are open from lockdown

This is a nice rest stop on our road trips. We only visit the playground area but there are ballfields, outdoor pool and a lot more. Bathrooms by the playground are what you would expect for park bathrooms but the playground is great. Had a big green space and a small creek running through it. Very close to the college and retail. It has the remnants of an old putt putt course, but the greens have been removed as of June 2019.

The park was very nice, plenty of parking for 75+ motorcycles and the monuments were very well done. The American Leguon Riders from across our beautiful state of Virginia presented wreaths to both monuments.

Dog park has separate areas for large and small dogs, water fountains, tennis balls, obstacles, seating and sheltered table. Has walking paths, frisbee golf, playing fields, BMX track indoor gym and pool, outdoor pool.

Good disc golf course with a variety of Teas and basket placements. Some difficulty negotiating between holes but directional signs on several baskets were helpful.

Great experience! The grandchildren had lots of fun. They rang in age 12 to 2 & everyone was entertained. Would recommend!

3 generations of my family have gone here their whole lives. There is so much to do! Fishing, hiking trails, running trails, Frisbee golf, several playgrounds, an indoor (open year round) and outdoor pool (opens Memorial Day), bmx track, a dog park, and much more! People of all ages can enjoy all the fun things to do here... Not to mention its beautiful there! Open year round too!

The dog park is wonderful, the lake is so peaceful and well kept, and theres a friendly community of people that frequent the park.Also, its a great place if youre a Pokémon Go player

Fun place to go for multiple activities. The walking/jogging trail is equipped with fitness stations to make running around more enjoyable. This park is also home to multiple baseball fields, pools, and many other places for fun (even frisby golf!). If you are taking yoyr kids for a day out in the sun, this park offers the largest and safest playgrounds in the area! Enjoy!

This is a great place to walk, run or swim. There is a lot to do there. It is also a good place to just go and relax. It is a large park with views of Pleasant Valley road. If you want to get out and just enjoy the weather, this park is a great place to do it.
