Nice and quiet relaxing well maintained.. a little adventure especially for kids.. you can make your walk short or long... there are loops off the trail you can choose to explore as well.. love the amount of birds bugs and variety of trees and plants. There are parts of the loops that you may need to step up over natural rocks but makes it more unique. Twists and turns and a couple benches in the middle. Definitely worth it.

This is a really fun combination of history, simple outdoor trails, and a small play set for the kids. I definitely recommend bringing your kids or pets.

Beautiful park to walk alone, family or the dog. There are historical signs throughout the trail where you can read about the civil war battles fought here. There is a little playground area for kids (mostly rocks), a pavillion where you can enjoy a little snack and there are bathrooms which is a huge plus. I also like that they have poop bags for dogs throughout the park. I think there are 2 but i could be wrong.Beautiful views all over. There are a lot of shady spots here so even on a hot day its possible to walk here ir even ride your bike.

If you only have only a half an hour or so to spare for a walk, Rose Hill is the place to go. Varying terrain and views make this an interesting walk. Since its a former civil war battlefield, twilight is always interesting as it may be haunted!....

Nice park with a playground and a short 1 mile, gravel loop trail. Kid and dog friendly, there are even some benches along the trail, provided by a local Scout as part of his Eagle project.

Very nice little park! Dont know how we didnt know about this little gem all the years weve lived here. A fun little rock playground my daughter loved, and a very nice trail around the park with kiosks informing you about the civil war battle on the premises.

Very pretty walk, its just a shame that on parts of the walk you can see and hear cars on 37 zipping by. Regardless of the highway, its 100% worth going on a walk here at least once

Rose Hill Park is an easy beginner level hiking trail. 90% of the trail is tarred and chipped with 2 trails that loop through the woods that place one back on the main trails. The trail itself is a 1.1 mile loop with only about 75 feet of elevation gain.As an added bonus, there are several informative markers along the trail about a Civil War battle that took place on the grounds in the surrounding area.

Rose Hill Park has a well-kept gravel trail that circles through woods and farms. There is a small playground area, picnic shelter, and restrooms. It is popular for walking dogs. The main trail is just over a mile and they are adding shorter trails in the woods. Its a battlefield, so history buffs enjoy it, too. There are a couple of small hills, but its mostly level.

(8/18/20) Update from last year,. A swing set has been added. Two big kids seats, 1 each toddler and baby.Very nice. Restroom perfect for what it is. Only criticism is a swing set would be nice for little kids. Granddaughter did love the rocks though.Thank you.

A very nice stroll with historic information. Nice, clean restrooms and parking area. Overall, we really enjoyed it.Pets are allowed, but please clean up after them. I would suggest the county or the MSV place small trash receptacles and bag stations at the beginning of the trail.

Great place to walk. Nice clean bathrooms. Alot of dog poop on the trail. Only 1 trashcan at the beginning of the trail so if you are one of the few responsible dog walkers and pick up after your pet then you have a long walk carrying a bag of poo. That might be why there is dog poop all over the trail. Please clean up after your dog.
