Its a great place to spend time in the nice weather. Theres a lake, restrooms, grills, and picnic tables. There are boat launches and a lot of great places you can access both by kayak or on the back dirt roads. There are great fishing spots out on the rivers and lots of trails to hike. You can access the lake through either Winchendon or Royalston. The Royalston way is all dirt roads to the lake.
Love this place, So many trails to go hiking on. Huge plot of land in the middle of nowhere where you can collect your thoughts. Great place to swim, fishing, bbq etc.
The entrance and lake is just the beginning of the fun you can experience. Miles and miles of roads and trails outback to explore. Some open to wheeled motorized vehicles, most of them are available to be used by human power only. The roads that are now open gets you around most of the recreational area. Off of these roads are trails galore to explore. Remember to bring a Camera and water is a good idea. Along with hiking, there is fishing and canoeing at multiple locations in the park. Have fun, I know I do.Remember this area is used for flood damage prevention in towns downstream and sometimes it is to dangerous to be used for recreational use because the entire area is compleatly flooded. Cars in the swimming area parking lot could be completely covered with water in an extremely massive rain event.Enjoy your time there.Mr. P.
Beautiful lake and a nice beach for the kids . Lots of Camping sites too right besides the lake .
You can take a nice walk in the camping area.
My family and I have been going to Dennison for years and we love it! Today I lost my debit card and spent 45 minutes trying to find it while I tried not to panic. The lifeguards were very helpful, one of them raked the beach and the other actually found my card outside the bathroom! I cant thank them enough for their help. We will most certainly be back again
A very picturesque state park. Most recently stayed on the North side, which I find sunnier. Site 102 was a lovely big site. That outer loop does not offer much privacy. There was a narrow access through the brush to launch a boat or fish. Take note, this park allows swimming only at the designated beach. Bath houses are horrid and completely inadequate for the amount of sites. There are no dish washing stations, and the water spigot is at ground level. There are no water spigots except at the bath houses. You can hear the traffic from Route 202. Massachusetts parks are put to shame by most of the New York and Vermont State parks Ive visited
A great family event! We come every year with many from church and are rarely dissatisfied.
Love adventuring thru the trails. Beautiful lake.
Great place to bring the dogs to walk the forest paths. Next time we will leave them home so we can swim. The beach looks fantastic and there are plenty of tables shaded in the forests nearby.
This is our local swimming whole. Very pretty location, convenient parking to the beach area, picnic area will grills. And the bathroom was clean. Well worth the money to park and spend the day.
Ive been to lake Dennison multiple times and its a great place to go. This is because the water is so vlean and you can also go camping which is a blast.
Fun when actually got into the water. Life guards looked for any excuse to keep us out of the water
Nice place to take the family. Also great camping area ( not open for camping till later this month )
We camped here over the weekend of 3-5 August 18. The staff is great, the campsites are very nice and largely well-separated from one another. The proximity to the lake is wonderful. It is quite buggy, however - as one should expect in the wild. The beach at Lake Dennison and the lake itself are wonderful. We very much enjoyed our time there and we will be back.
It’s definitely not the best place on earth but it’s fun to drive around the area and walk the trails
It was a nice lake but too many restrictions.
Great place for beach, fishing, kayaking, camping. A weekend delight.
This is a very quiet place to go if you want to have a nice beach day or go fishing. they also have a boat ramp so you can launch kayaks and canoes. they dont allow any kind of propelled devices such as electric trolling motors or small gas engines in an attempt to keep the water clean. it is a part of a large state forest and is just a peaceful and relaxing place to go.
This State Park is a favorite because there are many hiking and biking trails as well as a kayak launch by the damn, swimming, camping, picnic areas...etc... Oh, also great for snowshoeing, snowmobiling, skiing. It is close by and just a great place!!
Always a beautiful well maintained lake and place to swim and hang out
The location is wonderful. Great staff.
Awesome place to kayak fish camp
Used to be a nice place to spend the day. Now the state has it closed off and you have to pay just to park. Any thing for money
Great place to rest & enjoy nature. In the warm weather you & the family can swim. Cold weather snowman building & snowmobiles are a norm.
Very nice view, facility. the lake is great, big campground.. very quite
What a beautiful area..when we went there was still snow on the ground...the last snow of the season..and oh the flooding...we went able to enjoy the full trails as most were under water. lol ..we did walk over 5mi but it was mostly going down one trail to then turn around..so we didnt get to see much haha...but it was sunny and our dogs really enjoyed it..so who am I to complain?! we wanna go back in the nice weather..
Clean and beautiful but approved swimming area is too shallow for teens to totally enjoy!
Went there this past weekend and it was great!
Great swimming, camp ground is wonderful and gives you enough space to put up multiple tents
You want to relax Whit out paid to much lake Dennison is a good place for camping, relax

Great way to spend a weekend and a lot of local fishing spots.

Nice park. Just fyi out of state plates $15 to park.
Great place to hike and cross-country ski.
This is a very quiet and beautiful camping area. There are many roads to ride a bike and many sites are close to the lake.
Wonderful relaxing place that exudes tranquility and the wonderful scent of pine.
Absolutely love taking my daughter to swim and walking my dogs there.
Cant go on the water. Bacteria.
