Before you take this drive, know the way is very poorly marked. There should be a sign on the T road telling you to turn left and another on the next T road pointing right. The only sign I saw was on the main highway. After driving around, I finally found it. Unfortunately the river had dried up enough to ruin the view. It was like looking at a dying swamp. It may be much prettier in the spring. Currently the area is closed to cars but it seemed to be open to walking.

Perfect for a quick and somewhat adventurous day trek. Good information on local history, restrooms, picnic tables, trash cans, water access, makes for a great practically in town nature park.
