One of the best college gyms. Lots of machines and free weights. Great hours as well.
Great place to play squash. If you are a visitor it has the worst parking situation imaginable. They seem to change the rules every year. Currently they use passport parking application but that works only for students and faculty. Everyone at the facility is friendly. The place to get a parking pass is on the other side of campus. Again if you are not faculty or a student they make it hard. On the other hand the cost if you are a guest of a student or faculty is very reasonable $5 for the day. Bring your drivers license
This place has everything you need in a fitness center. From weights to cardio equipment to high energy, motivated patrons. Prevent the freshman 15, improve your health, look better on the mirror. Whatever your goal is, the gains trains stops here.
An okay gym- nothing to write home about. The park situation is very confusing and possibly non-existent for non-students, but since this is probably mostly students take that how you want. I believe theres also fee if youre a guest (I recommend borrowing someones card!). Once inside its a very standard gym with the exception of a climbing wall and squash courts. There are a lot of machines which were in good condition and you can usually find one open. The free weights were mostly dumbells and the barbell situation is a little sparse. There are no platforms for Olympic lifting and you really need to fight for the two squatting racks.
William and Mary has a lot to offer. The Student Recreation center is one of the top places to be. Organized trips to the mountains along with different skill levels rock climbing wall. Swimming pool, weights, squash courts, Mack court, 3 indoor basketball courts, cable weights, cardio, classes for work outs, a massage room and a lounge to relax after that work out
Large variety of fitness equipment. Lots of programs and out standing service. They provide towels, have bottle fill water stations, and a message therapist (cost by the hour). They also have a rock climbing wall, pool, and sauna. They also offer personal trainers as well. Hours could be better during the school breaks and summer semesters.
Only two racks for squatting (one of which isn’t even adjustable), no platforms, the cheapest barbells and benches possible, insufficient space for a 6000+ student school... the rules and equipment cater to the lowest common denominator.
Very professional staff. Out of the 5 gyms I have gone to, it it by far the best.
I was a guest playing squash. The courts are very nice the front desk was helpful.
The place is super clean, and has all the amenities a recreation center should have.Sometimes its a bit crowded, and you need to be a student, staff, or faculty at William and Mary to visit this place.
Great basketball courts and wall climbing! Super clean facility, friendly staff, electric atmosphere.
Rock climbing, pool downstairs, 2 racquetball courts on the mid floor, 2 basketball courts upstairs, huge indoor space used for soccer or floor hockey. Free weights, resistance machines, and cardiovascular machines.
Has all the basics you need from a rec center
