Great music theater
Maybe my luck has been unfortunate with this group, but I have had a few issues, some minor, with them that has made the whole experience using their service rather annoying and unpleasant. Suffice it to say that I will not be using their service to purchase tickets in the near future.1) I was trying to purchase tickets to Alton Brown through the Wichita Tix website only to find the link to be broken (Wichita Tix site issue not Alton Brown site). This was fixed eventually, but they seemed to be slightly nonchalant about the 404 error which seemed slightly odd given that they could potentially lose customers that couldn’t order tickets.2) Purchasing tickets on the Wichita Tix site was a slight pain as well. When I was on the initial screen, it was a type of seat selection screen, I was given many options. However, when I went to actually select my seats, I was shown virtually no options and instead had to rely on their automatic selector tool to select 2 seats next to each other. Please note that the seats selected through their tool were not able to be selected manually. I purchased the two seats that were selected through the tool and selected the mailing option for delivery of my tickets.3) Their automated answering service has unsatisfactory usability due to it having an infinite loop in their options. I was calling to inquire about my tickets since I had not received them and the show had already passed. I pressed the key to talk to their administrative offices, then selected the option to inquire about tickets. That sent me back to the previous selection menu. I thought I had mistakenly clicked the wrong option on my cell phone and tried again. I discerned that I had pressed the correct buttons, it was just an infinite loop. I finally selected an option that wasnt related to my issue in hopes of talking to an actual person (pressing 0 did not progress the call to an operator and waiting on the line only replayed the initial menu message) and finally connected to their offices.4) I purchased my tickets over a month in advance and selected the mailing option to receive my tickets. The event being over a month away, neither my husband nor I had it on the top of our minds. It was only after my husband started to clean out his inbox that he saw my message back in September about the event and realized that we hadnt gotten our tickets. When I called their office and I was basically told that there was nothing they could do on their end as the event organizer had already been paid. Their only suggestion was to call the post office to determine where my tickets were located. I can understand Wichita Tix not being able to do a lot on their end, but to just flatly say ...nothing we can do. Sorry. seems a rather weak attempt to keep a customer who just lost $150 due to an error.
