Good dog park they have a small section for smaller dogs and another huge space for all other mixed size dogs to run around and play.
I was initially confused as I had seen the pictures of dogs in the stream but the actual dog run area has no access to the streams. A local then pointed out the access to the streams are outside the park a few hundred yards down the trail. Totally worth exploring it, but the stream area is not fenced in and my dog is not the best at recall - I was a bit worried. Next time Ill bring a long leash.
Nosy dog owners who should be minding their own business, instead of offering unsolicited helpful advice.
Probably the biggest dog parks I’ve ever seen. Great park with benches so you can sit under the shade of a tree.
Dog owners must have their dogs at least on a leash. I took my dog on a walk with a leash on, not to mention my dog is friendly with others. I allow my dog to play with other dogs as always. The owner of the dog interacting with my dog was clueless and I noticed that her dog was clearly trying to bite my dog. To add on later that day my dog was attacked by another dog. Thank goodness he was ok, but this has truly been the worst experience. BEWARE OF UNAWARE AND RUDE OWNERS!!
Great dog park. Large enough that the big dogs can run and play, with a separate area for smaller dogs. Owners are good about picking up after their dogs.
Great dog park, throw balls down the hill for maximum pup energy burning
Eh, its okay. My dog baby Spikey, was too wild about it, he has a Ruff time getting along with other dogs.
This is one of the bigger dog parks I have seen. It has 2 different play pens for the dogs depending on their size. The park is made of woodchips which is great for the dogs to run around.
Great place and awesome trail with a stream the dogs can play in
Used to be a great place until they posted signed everywhere about your dog having to be on leash. I take Taco here when Im strapped on time, other wise Ill take him to Hardscrabble. Hardscrabble is twice as far for us and isnt a dog park. Its a dog friendly trail. There is a sign saying dogs must be leashed but everyone goes there so their dog can run around freely.
This is a wonderful park, not only are there baseball fields, basketball courts, and tennis courts; there is this wonderful Dog park. There are two enclosed areas: one smaller one for more skittish or aggressive dogs, and one larger one for group playing and fetch etc. There is also a short walking trail that goes over a very calming stream/pond area.
Cute, popular, quaint and well kept, this is a great spot to take your pup and let her fraternize with others, with, I believe, a friendly chatty group of folks that bring their four legged friends to socialize a bit themselves.
Where dogs can have freedom!Love it. Navigate the owners and youre all good. Keep them leashed at all times outside the fence, as the cops ticket!
Nice park- a good place for anyone’s dog to come and run around. The park is mulch, so it gets a bit muddy if it’s raining. Easy location right off the sprain.
A decent place to take your dogs. There is also a small dog park. Free poop bags and there are also some tennis balls for you to use free parking as well. The only down side is that most of the park is on a downward slope. The people are decent here too
Lots of room to roam....do some zoomies!! Nice area....
Clean large dog run. Owners all thoughtful about their dogs interactions
Great to run big dogsThe park has tennis balls to chase, water and good gates.Smaller dogs in desperate area. Highly recommend.
My dog and I go here several times a week! Its hard to find a dog park that is as spacious and well-cared for (and still fenced in!) I have a high energy pup who I was still training off-leash and it was really helpful for us to find such a great dog park that was fenced in. There are almost always people and their dogs here. Theres even a trail to a beautiful, tiny creek where dogs can swim and run around!
Has gates, wood chips, and poop bags
This is a great park for many reasons. The fields, the basketball courts, the tennis and the dog park. There is a wonderful path near the dog park that many dog owners use to walk their dogs. There is also a stream that the dogs can play in. It should be noted however that having your dog off leash is not allowed in any capacity. Anyone posting about their dog being off leash(on the trail, not in the fenced in dog park) is in direct violation of the rules of the park. The Town Parks and Recreation Commissioner is within an inch of closing the trail to all users as a result of non compliance. If you care about the park, and want to see it remain a great place to take your dog, please keep your dog on leash at the trail. Of course if you want to take your dog off leash, the fenced in dog park is the perfect place to do so.
We are going to Rumbrook for soccer games and we like the set-up
I saw soccer field, basketball court, baseball field, indoor tennis court. It is nice
The biggest dog park in the area. Friendly dogs & owners. My little guy loves it here!
Decent dog park, my only concern is the HUGE steep hill that makes up the entire park. I probably won’t go back because I don’t want my dog to tear her ACL
Great place to play Basketball on the Weekend. The court features one full court with 4 half court hoops. The only problem is that there is no shade from the sun on the court. It is very tough to play when temperatures are high in the summertime. There is also the option for indoor tennis.
Great dog park, beautiful fields and tennis courts, public bathroom. Great place
Big dog park. Friendly people and dogs, pretty busy and fun for our dog. Some poop here and there but generally clean. Wood chips. Small dog area is pretty big, general dog area is huge.
Big dog park, small trail, small creek that dogs can play in
I always enjoy this park. Though there are some crazy dog parents here so watch out.
Great dog park, beautiful fields and tennis courts, public bathroom. Great place
Great dog park with shade and benches
Cool place fo you need ya dog to bond...
Clean park, large area and attentive owners. Walk to brook for a quick cool down after your dog runs around in the fenced in area. Beware, due to residential complaints there is enforcement (fines) for having your dog off leash.
One of the better parks in the area for basketball, tennis and softball.
Happyyyyuyyuuu Rimbrook my place
Basketball courts, tennis courts, a baseball field and dog park. Right off of the Sprain Brook Parkway, it is a great place to go to play a pickup game of basketball or hit a few balls around on the field or tennis court.I enjoy bringing my dog here for the dog park in the back. They have a dog run section, which is basically a larger fenced in area with a downhill part towards the back, or if your dog is a smaller breed, they had a square smaller fenced in flat grounds area as well for your little guys. Sometimes dog groups will meet up here and have tables set up for treats and toys to purchase if you want for your furry friends. Great place to go on a quiet Saturday or Sunday morning.
This is the best dog park in Westchester. Usually, everyone (dogs and people) is friendly, and there is plenty of space for running around. You can hike the trail to the end where your dog can splash in the stream and get nice and muddy.
I go to the dog park there. Great place for dog to run aroud. If you venture down the path, theres a great stream for the dogs to play in.
Nice park with wood chips. Good mix of sun and shade. Always lots of dogs and tennis balls
Very spacious dog park I have a boxer & a bull terrier and they always need plenty of exercise. Every time we come here people get inimidated by my boxer and confuse him with a pitbul & my bull terrier because she’s a little different but they always make new friends . There’s a rule saying if the dog shows signs of aggression to leash it, one time some lady was with her friends talking and talking her dog was growling at mines and snapping I didn’t mind for the simple fact that I know my dogs are annoying since there puppies but it got to a point where her dog almost bit my boxer and the dog had him on the ground and everyone got scared and I was very mad. Like her dog was growling and everything but she didn’t seem to care and as soon as her dog almost bites my dog she finally decided to leash him and leave. Most people that I see always keep an eye on there dog but she didn’t seem to care if her dog bit anyone.
If I could give it no stars I would!! I don’t know why people think the wooded area(the trail) is apart of the fenced in dog part....it’s NOT!!! The owners of the dog park and town even put up signs saying do not come in the wooded area with your animal!! Out of control dog park and the owners are worst then the animals. The owners always have their animals unleashed and it could become an unsafe environment. The dog park is where your dogs should be not outside the fenced property. Rumbrook park has been there for years and there werent any problems until this dog park was built. Ive seen owners ripping down signs that the park put up about leaving the dog park and having your dog off a leash which is crazy because its town property. Its sad because there are owners who do follow the rules and have their animal on a leash An then you have people who just dont care. When people leave the dog park with their animals they unleash them and let them do WATEVER and sometimes animals wonder behind people backyards, which means the owner has to chase the animal on another persons property which is trespassing. On top of that when owners enter the wooded area they make noise which is not fair to tax payers that own their property. 5 or 6am these people are making a lot of noise calling for dogs because they ran off and the animal is barking like crazy as well which is so annoying especially on weekends when people have off!! Think about it would u like people in your town abusing not only the dog park but the town itself. It needs to be moved to an area where there are no houses or under control with keeping them in the fenced area.
Great park to take your dogs. Fenced off area for small or big dogs. Theres also a nice trail to walk your dogs
Great dog park here. 2 sections and a trail. Clean, gated, has poopie bags, fenced area for large dogs another fence area for small breeds
Its a pretty good park, but I go for the basketball courts and they are usually always packed. Hard to actually get in games.
Need a permit to use the dog park. Dogs not allowed in other areas of the park.
Over wellming aroma! !!
Best place to play basketball in lower Westchester. Tennis courts could use work though. Nice baseball fields, and a nice dog park
Good little park. Gets a little muddy.
Happy play time for the dogs
The best maintained dog park and great walking path to the stream for the dogs to play and cool off more.
Police are giving out tickets if you walk 10 feet into dog park with your trained dog.
The trail in the back is great, but the dog park itself is full of people who pay zero attention. Many of them are very nice, but my dog (who is great with other dogs) was cornered by two other dogs who proceeded to attack her leaving her with a hole in the back of her neck. The owners claimed they were just playing, many of them are just very pretentious. Had I realized the cut on my dog it would have been a completely different scenario. If a woman is there with a dog named Harry just grab your dog and leave. She has absolutely no control over him and she seems completely oblivious to everything around her. Word of advice lady, get a hamster not a 75 pound dog
My dog loves the park and the trail here
Basketball courts, baseball field, tennis courts, dog park, and walking trail. This is a great park to spend some time and get away from it all.
Rumbrook staff is the worst! I had 20 female basketball players (residents) to enjoy the park and they harassed us the entire time. I played ball at Rumbrook for years, my crew and I wasnt even residents of Westchester. So 10 guys coming from the Bronx and taking over the courts is acceptable but females playing on side court is unacceptable. Instead of celebrating the female movement, they rather lie and say we took over the park and we were unruly. Shout out to guys who embraced us. The staff is sexist. They videotaped us to get the girls in trouble instead of saying enjoy the park and next time do ABC. I see why women cant get ahead.
Love playing basketball here, it is very well lit at night and the courts are in great conditions
Great dog park for big and little dogs.
Had surgery and walk with cane. Hard to walk on ground surface. Nice people and dogs though.
Great park for playing basketball, baseball and softball!
Its ok, but the paddle courts need to be redone and the lights changed.
A good dog park with a regular daily crowd. The enclosure space is quite big, but space could be better utilized and the small dog enclosure is very small/sparse. The best feature is the hidden creek area found down the path running along the side of the main enclosure- its not fenced in, but if your dog stays with the pack or listens to being called back off leash, its a great spot to let your furry pal cool off in a small, shallow creek with their buddies. Downside is that in the main enclosure, youd be hard pressed not to find garbage or other non desirable items while your dog plays, so stay vigilant about whats in their mouth. Overall however, a very pleasant place to let your dog cut loose to have some exercise and fun! Prepare to get a bit dirty (both you and your dog) as the mulch and dirt base makes for a messy situation- especially after it rains. Would recommend as with any dog park, that you let your dog into the first gate to acclimate to the current crew there before opening the 2nd gate, just to help ensure no bad blood erupts between the animals.
Great place for dogs of all sizes
Great for dogs, and people. Short trail, with water
Rumbrook park has 2 baseball fields ..4 basketball courts... renovations are happening on the tennis courts and they have a dog park
