I came here for the first time looking for a park for a morning walk. Parked car at the park. You stroll towards the pond for five minutes and will get a a sign for well marked trail. (John F Malley trail). We took on the right side and kept walking for 30 min and then returned back. Saw many people with their dogs. Overall had a wonderful unplanned morning fun. Good. Recommend if you are with kids and want to enjoy nature. They would also love it.Update - returned back in fall and it was good colors. Also you can go on the left side and that will take you to other end of John F Malley trail.
Walkable traps, mostly a big field. Not crowded.
Huge field, great place for dogs to get some energy out. Would definitely be better if owners would pick up after their pets but unfortunately that’s a problem everywhere. Decent trail by the lake but potential for more if time and energy were invested in it. All in all a good park but could be better if there was more to do.
First time visiting this place with my dogs and they love it !!!×3%
Went there to do some geocaching. I wont tell you where they are. Muggkers about so be careful. Nice park to walk and find a few geocaches Watch out for the mugglers.
Quiet, nice place to walk, bring your dog, take in some sun. Has portapottys and bags for dog drops.
Great park for a quick run. Its beautiful all year round.Theres a trail next to the lake that could be made better.
Great place to walk and hike. Great excercise for any dog that loves to run and explore. No off-leash areas.
Good park for being active. Important to note it is a park and not a playground, no slides or a swing set! There is a well paved tennis court, a large field, and the start to a trail along Mill Pond. Little things are well maintained: parking is easy, even the porta potty seeks to be cleaned regularly. Considering how many dogs walk the park, very little dog poop. Dog owners seem generally respectful here. It is a very good entrance for starting the Charm Bracelet trail, which is a trail that can be long or short and is easy enough for kids. Less related to Veterans Park but good to know before you go, the Charm Bracelet could use some updated marking once you get to the Otis Street Bridge. This trail is nice to walk across seasons and can be slightly muddy.. but the small bridges are placed very well.
Nice open park, with one trail that goes around the open space. There is also a trail that goes into the woods around the nice reservoir.
Great park for walking your pup!
Great place to walk by yourself, with friends or a pet. I do wish there were more benches along the way as well as pet waste disposal options.
Nice trail for quick walk with your pet or for yourself!
