Really great trail. About 4 mile loop if you do the 1 mile out and back promontory trail too. Mostly shaded, nice and quite, not too busy at all. Easy for kids of all ages, bikes and possibly even strollers. Great way to spend 2 hours on a sunny FL Sunday

Well maintained trails and boardwalks. Both hog hammock and eagle trails = about 5 miles. Plenty of shaded benches for resting and looking out at the swamp too! Ive been once after a significant rain and had to search for mud (found on the shortcut btw H5->H13).

Amazing place to see Florida in all its bare wonder! You won’t be disappointed. Don’t forget you’re in a swamp though; bring bug spray!

So well done. You can bike the trails...Not on the boardwalks( have to walk your bike). Short or long walk take your pick. Some what of a hidden entrance, easy to miss. Super clean. Can have wet sections in the rainy times.

The trail was awesome. Soon all that will be left is the compacted walking trails after the wild pigs get done decimating the entire area that doesnt have standing water.

I love this trail for bicycles. I have hiked here before too. Nice little gazebos along the way to stop and rest or to get a bite to eat. Bring mosquito spray and sunblock. Its not too bad on the hot days but there are areas of straight sun. I did see a man in there who told me he was hired to hunt hogs...but dont know if he was serious. I have never seen any myself.

A beautiful nature trail for hiking or biking. I believe it’s about 2.8 miles long. Lots of wildlife to see. I rarely see it crowded, which is nice because you get all the peace and quiet to yourself. The trails look a bit torn up due to the wild hogs although I’ve never seen them. There is a lake and a dock to fish from or just to take in the beauty. If I lived nearby I would go get my morning exercise there everyday.

Place has potential, but the hogs are tearing up everything. They really need to do something to reduce the population. Otherwise a good place to ride a bike, the trail is pretty hard pack.

The whole walk is between 2 1/2 - 3 miles. Most the walk is in the canopy of of trees. Trail starts out small gravel, then dirt, and multiple board walks. Good for biking. Has multiple spots you can stop and sit or picnic tables through out the trails to pack a lunch. Just make sure you pack out your trash. I nice relaxing walk through Grassy Water Preserve.

Such a nice, quiet place to walk. If you get here early enough, around sunrise, you may even see some deer! You can definitely hear the wildlife out off the trail. An extension of the trail, the Promontory Trail, goes along a levee out into the open marshlands for an extra mile one-way. I strongly suggest you go the extra mile.

A beautiful trail, its a loop with a one mile out and back spur. The trail is hard packed and mostly high and dry. There are a number of shelters along the route with benches to enjoy the views. Lots of birds, herons, egrets and we saw a group of four northern harriers.

Beautifully wooded trail in the Grassy Waters Preserve with an interesting variety of palms and spruce trees. Although I saw only a skittish deer in the larger wildlife this trip, fish and birds were present in abundance. Parking is convenient and washroom facilities are available at the trailhead.

Nice trail for walking or biking. The total trail is about 4 miles long but there are three different routes you can take which lower the route to about 1 or 2 miles depending on what you want to do. The trail is used for both biking and walkers. I have been there a few times and randomly encounter more than a couple people. There are some interesting signs with history of the area along the way. Some low spots which can flood during rainy season but it drains well and it is not a big problem. Bug spray is recommended since your are out in the middle of wetlands.

Has a 30 minutes loop hiking trail. (Should be prepared with mosquito repellent). Also, you can enjoy a observation platform overlooking swamp with a beautiful panoramic view. Be careful! because you can find alligators in the vicinity.
