Great place to host events! Christ Fellowship uses them routinely for various weekly events and the space is easy to use
Our son and his new wife were just married at the Himmel this weekend (5/26/18) and the venue was the most beautiful place to have a wedding and reception. But more importantly Jaimie Hart (from the Hilton who coordinates the events at the Himmel) was utterly amazing! The bride and groom live out of state so they planned the wedding/reception with Jaimie via phone and email. She was so attentive and every detail was completely taken care of without worry. She made great suggestions when we werent sure of a detail and she helped every step of the way. The food was amazing and it was so beautiful.
Always a great time!
I was here as an event attendee. I cannot describe how it is to host an event here. But from the point of view of an attendee, this space was great. Place was full of guests, but the AC never quit. Felt nice and cool the whole night.Dont know if the food and drink staff is with the theater, or from outside caterer, but the staff was professional, competent, and most importantly: friendly.Great night!
This is where we have our Sunday night services called city nights its the best you should come out one sunday 7pm services are Lit
Come to enjoy Gods precense in worship and teaching.
The places around the Theater are great..lots do do Shop,Eat,entertainment, Movie, Comedy Club. Just great.
Great venue for budding and talented musical students. Beautiful accommodations for Faiths Place students to showcase their awesome talents.
No frills interior with good acoustics. I attended an outstanding performance of a professional jazz trio with a guest singer. Knowledgible audience was very appreciative.
After several months of visiting venues and seeing options within our price range we stumbled upon the Harriet Himmel. Immediately the gorgeous chandeliers and candlelit background caught my eye. I wanted a romantic venue but something different from the regular South Florida hotel weddings. After my wedding, everyone raved about how beautiful and romantic our venue was and our church, Holy Trinity which was also right down the street and had the same dark wood romantic look. Doug from Ovations was amazing from beginning to end. I did not have a wedding coordinator which made me uneasy but Doug made sure I did not have to worry about anything. He was very attentive and helpful with my many questions, so easy to work with, and his team went above on beyond to make sure hubby and me had a smile and a champagne glass all through the night. The balcony at the Harriet Himmel was very convenient as we had a cigar roller – this was a huge hit. The food was great (the prime rib was amazing), the service was excellent, and knowing that CityPlace will always have a special place for us every time we walk by is the cherry on top. I would definitely recommend the Harriet Himmel to other brides out there as it was one of the best decisions I made towards planning my dream wedding! ~ CS
Loved it. Easy parking. Nice architecture. Great venue for entertainment.
Interresting. Lack og divetsity
We had our daughters wedding a few weeks ago and the place, the team, the organization and the catering were just wonderful. Thank you Dough Brown, owner of Ovations Catering, for making it so special. They were extremely helpful meeting all of our requirements.I will certainly recommend Ovations as the caterer and Harriet Himmel Theater as a venue for any important event.
Superb building, dates back to 1926 and was originally a Methodist Church, $6,000,000 in restoration, its now a Theatre/Cultural center and can serve as the ideal venue for wedding parties, events etc...has restaurants on its outside ground level.
The show I saw there was good.
