This was the original playground for kids which we didnt see before such a rock climbing in drums for instruments for kids to play in bang around. There are also many swings and the view of the Lake and woods was a very nice touch. There were also many picnic areas with many picnic tables. Social distancing was also enforced as much as it could be and most people that go to the park where masks.

Great Playground! Plenty of room to run around. There’s a whole toddler portion that was fun for my little toddler.

A big, very well made playground on a lake shore where to have good times with your kids. The parking is big and I always got a spot even over weekends in just minutes. Boat house restaurant is just few minutes walk away and turtle zoo is also nearby making this area a major attraction for families.

I stopped by to go to the zoo but the zoo was closed so We ended up here. The park is very nice. The peddle boats are nice.

This park is very nice and extremely neat and clean. All the playground structures are in excellent conditions and the kids have a lot of options to play with. The entire playground is fenced so that is great for parents.

Beautiful place to spend good time with family. You can rent pedaling swans. Half an hour is around $24. If you’re looking for a big park, l this is not the one

The playground: Lots of things to do here for kids, but really not much here for adults. Since there is no actual grass or mulch around the play areas the ground can get burning hot on a sunny day.

A beautiful play park. Offers a variety of exciting activities for the very young all the way to adults...usually crowded and busy.

This playground was really cool! The main ship structure was lots of fun for the kids to climb and run around on. the ship is huge. you can see it from the zoo train across the lake. I havent seen any playground quite like it before. The kids also had a lot of fun climbing on the fake mountains and rope nets. We will definitely be back the next time we head to the Zoo.

Excellent playground for all ages. The regatta theme is very well done. It also is located on a beautiful pond (next to the Zoo) with a walking path for those who want to do some nature walking.

Free parking and play area for kids of all ages. Climbing rocks and walls, spider ropes, swings, monkey bars, slides, seesaw and lots of area to run and play. There are walking and biking trails, nice spot for dogs. Nearby is a swan and paddle boat rental at the lake.

What a great playground! Close to the water and the trails to walk around, bathrooms, snack stand, paddle boats, and turtle back zoo are right there (you can walk from the trail into the parking lot for the zoo). The playground is clean and very big. I love that it’s all fenced in and it easy to get out of. I love taking the kids here because there’s so much for them to do and climb on, for all ages, that they are definitely able to get there energy out!

This is a huge playground in West Orange, I love that its fenced around and also gated making it safe for kids to play wherever they want within the playground. Its also a relaxing place for parents to have peace of mind and they can lounge on the provided chairs or bring their own mats/towels to chill in a cozy area. Parking is across the street and the only negative thing about that is if it rains all of a sudden for example, you have to run all the way across the road with your kids to the parking lot but hey if you plan well, everything else is great.

Very nice beautiful park! Gated so it feels safe. Plenty of exciting equipment to play on and climb! And there are also plenty of swings, bucket as well as regular. My kids had a blast!

Lots to do for kids of all ages. Fenced in with gate that locks so hard for little ones to escape as they like to do. Plenty of seating for parents of older kids. There is also a water fountain and bathrooms nearby. Part of South Mountain Resevation complex that includes Turtle Back Zoo, Treetop Adventure and paddle boats. Food is also nearby. The Essex Playground is located off the walk of the Essex County Recreation Park. The Playground is awesome for the kids and the walk is beautiful as you walk around the water.

This is our regular clocked in heaven! Our kids love this park very much! It is safe, fun and fresh air! The Police on duty on yhe road to make sure pedestrians crossing the park are safe! The best park in the county.

It was my first time there and my daughter loved the place. It is a wonderfull place for kids and adults to have fun and spend time. The lake is amzing with a beatiful view.

This park is wonderful! You have to go in through the paddle boat entrance, then back and to the left to get to the playground entrance. Lots for kids of all ages to do and seating for the grown-ups. Win-win!

Great for kids aged 2 - 8 with clean bathrooms just a short walk away and plenty of parking. Good seats for parents too if they are not inclined to join in and just read a book instead.

This is every childs dream come true for a playground! Parents youll love it too because you get the peace of mind knowing that the entire playground is fully enclosed within a fence that has just one gate at the entrance/exit that young children arent able to open on their own. Its a pirate ship complete with all sorts of climbing, scaling, and balancing opportunities. Also, there are swings and plenty of other play structures at this park. To top it off there is a beautiful lake behind the park with a path to walk around it and you can even rent boats to take out on the water there. Additionally, it boats convenient parking for free in the large lot right across the street; for safety assurance there is a street light for getting those little ones across with ease.The South Mountain Reservation for hiking, BBQs, kite flying and such along with The Turtle Back Zoo is right there along with many other family friendly places to have fun and lots of other things for places to eat. You could absolutely make an entire day out of visiting this playground and everything else surrounding it!

Great place to visit after the trip to the zoo

We love this playground, challenging climbs for older kids, lots of swings and different slides. Once the trees grow larger there will ample shade and itll be even better. It would benefit from either a sprinkler or a mister for the kids to cool off because atm there is only have a water fountains and nothing else where sweating children can cool down.

Great park with a good mix of activities for kids of all ages. The adarondox chairs around the park are very comfortable and clean as well! The only thing that would improve the experience is if there was a splash park within the mix as well.

A great playground. Features two large pirate ships for the kids to climb on and slide on. The park has a gate to ensure no kids can get out with an adult. There are lots of chairs and seating for people to sit while watching the little ones play.

Spent a FUN Fall day @ the Regatta Playground w/my Son & Grandkids! It was My 1st time here, & I LOVED All the activities offered. In addition to the Huge Climbing Pirate Ship, there are Swings, Slides, stepping Mushrooms & Stumps, a Twirling platform, Rhythm Music area, Telephone cans, & lots of other fun activities. Plus, its lined w/colorful Adirondack chairs, for Resting. Amazing! Will be back...

This playground is amazing and fantastic for young kids of all ages. Theres a giant ship, rocks to climbs, swings and everything in between. Bring lots of water to drink bc kids will run themselves to the bone.

I feel like this playground was truly designed by a parent. I love the single gated entrance/exit, the large area for smaller children, the adirondack chairs for parents and the nearby snack stand and covered sitting area. Kids can play here for hours and still not want to leave. The playground is beautiful, well maintained, & clean playground--its our favorite playground in Essex OR Morris county!
