McCarty Park

Beautiful,well-maintained park. I had driven by thousands of times but never checked it out until last night. There was a gorgeous sunset and I took tons of pictures.

I really like McCarty park. It has a nice walkway around the park. It even has a swimming pool for the summer. Theres a small playground for kids. Be aware though that there is a waterway and pond that cuts through it so be careful with younger children. Theres lots of ducks if you enjoy feeding them bread. The ducks arent afraid of humans so its very likely that they have been fed well.

Nice pond area with lots of open bank space for fishing. Caught perch, blue Gil and lots bullheads fishing. Paved paths and benches around the park. Modern Playground nearby.

Was fun no fish this time. Keep the people out that keep every single bby fish they catch. Thats probably why i didnt catch anything.

Move big party with old trees and a nice pond. Weve been here many times but we went today to get professional family pictures done.

Great place for the family.One recommendation. If you plan on going when it rains or after a snow, bring proper clothing to use slides.My usual Levis got absolutely soaked as I plummeted down at full speed. I nearly got hypothermia as the wind was nearly as fast as my descent.

Lots to do, two playgrounds, a pool, basketball courts, sand volleyball, and a large pond to walk around and fish. Also lots of areas to have a picnic or outdoor party at. Love this place!

The park offers so much with the pool, play structures, softball fields and the pond. This is a place Ive been going to all my life and I will always come back.

Great park!! Great for kids or a walk around the small lake pond that they have. Nice scenery and nice atmosphere. Good playground equipment for both toddler and older. They have a separate little part for toddlers and another separate part for young kids and preteen. They have a bathroom to use during park hours. Big park. They also have picnic tables for a nice picnic in the shade. Alot of trees. Probably one of the best parks in the city. Swimming is also an option in the summer.

Its very nice and peaceful. Lots of birds, A really nice path, and theres a playground.

Anyone that grew up in West Allis knows this place well. One of the most popular parks in the area, good location, easy to get to. Great place for a picnic, jog, or walk. Outdoor swimming pool, and the pond is stocked for fishing. Tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts. Several baseball diamonds and a big hill for sledding in the winter.

There are terrible cross walks on Beloit and cars never slow down for you. They really need some lights or something.A beautiful park with a nice size pond and great walking paths. There is a nice looking pool with very minimal open hours. Not sure what the value is in having a pool that is closed all the time. The playground is pretty large and in decent shape. Non-functioning tennis courts, but well maintained baseball diamonds. I think there is a volleyball sand court somewhere, and some basketball courts.I think its ridiculous that there are No Dogs signs in a park this size. Take them down already. Better yet, turn some of this useless empty grassland into a dog park.The buildings are run down, and the park in general looks like it needs some funding.

Part of the Milwaukee County Park System.We love our neighborhood park. All season fun. Swimming Pool. Kiddie Pool. Fishing in the lagoon stocked with pan and game fish.Great Playground. Exercise Equipment. Basketball and Tennis Courts. Baseball Diamonds. Safe Paved Walking Paths. Picnic Grounds with tables in several locations throughout the park. A great place for Winter sledding and cross country skiing.

Outstanding grounds keeping. The staff is friendly and helpful. A very clean and safe Park.

One of my favorite places to visit when in town. I love to sit out here, eat a meal, and watch the world go by.

Pond is filthy, grass is untreated, weedy and uncut. Dandelions have gone to seed....this is not a well cared for park.

Its a clean fun park to visit..The pool is clean the water slide is fun. You can walk, fish or play on the playground or have picnic with your family! Basketball and volleyball courts are also available.

Fantastic park BUT, the restrooms are hardly ever unlocked. My wife and I don’t even fish there anymore because why fish where you can’t relieve yourself. We take the kids to West Milwaukee park because it’s clean AND their restrooms are always open for everyone to use.

The park is beautiful and when Wisconsin Lutheran hosts their Viking Cross Country invitational it is both a beautiful and amazingly fast course.

Dirty looks like an alcoholic Park!

My pup loves running around this park. I love walking him around the pond area and laying out with him in the sun in the summer. Plus great park for jogging or biking. The fields have some cool games to watch of all ages. The pool is awesome for kiddos. I live so close however there is even parking for people to enjoy a day for an outdoor picnic or family get together!

Lagoon needs alot of cleaning to keep wildlife clean and alive. See people w kids fishing. Park has fulfillment. More trash cans needed. Swimming hours need to be longer!!!

Great park. I took my dog to do some training here. All of the visitors were respectful of each other and the facilities.

Love this park, take our dogs the every week... no dogs off leash signs but every once in a while that happens. Great people, children everywhere and wonderful environment. Great park in west allis for anything.

Been coming here for years and the service at the pools and the parks are always a blast.Love bringing my family and dog here for a great time to swim eat and play and the view is great.Its always a good time here.

Is a great place to bring kids to release their energy. Animals are welcomed. There is a pond, two playgrounds, a little exercise station for adults, a pool, and plenty room for picnics.

Its nice but after school times, i dont know where the group of teenagers come from but it is full of them. But before school lets out, i like to bring my young children

My child loves it here. Plenty of options for older and younger children. Maybe a bit scary for the littleones to be set free on the big playground when they first get walking but the little toddler area usually keeps them busy enough to not even reliese the other section. Also i hear good things about the pool here as well.

Ive been going here since i was a child. Its a nice park.

This is a nice small, local park that is pretty well maintained with plenty of walking paths. It has a pool that is open during the summer as well as a pond for fishing and jungle gym. There are softball and baseball games going on frequently throughout the summer. The past couple years, the traveling beer garden has spent time here as well. Not to mention, you can reserve party areas if youd like to have some fun with friends and family. Overall, this is a great park to go and get outside. :)

Great playground. Loved that the traveling beer garden stops right there. Swimming pool, tennis courts, baseball diamonds and a huge walking paved path, this is a great park. The people make it 4 stars. A lot of garbage ids always astound because people dont pick up after themselves well here.

I run through here all the time. Lots of paved trails and plenty of space. Water and grass is sometimes not kept very well and can be full of garbage, but it seems like people still like to fish there. Pool and basketball court get good use as well!

Kinda dingey to be honest

My friends and I go there in the summer because it’s kinda fun, but something I notice is that it’s not always kept up. The playgroud has graffiti on it, which you can’t really do anything about, the pond is full of trash, it’s unhealthy, the grass isn’t always cut, and the bathroom’s need upkeep, like literally the toilet water and sink water are YELLOW! that’s nasty. I enjoy going here, it’s just maintenance that needs to be taken care of.

The park is clean & has plenty of space to walk my 2 dogs.

I love going here but they should clean the pond.

People need to pick up after their picnics and snacks. Its a cute neighbor Hood park with a pond and baseball. Diamonds. A large pool and with an obvious police presence at intervals it seems less shady than in the past. However, weekends in warm weather and in the summer.. I would not want to live across the street from it.

Today I took my 2yr old there to play for the first time. She loved it, I loved it. We will be returning.

They have good toys for the kids to play on hes just have to be there at a certain time so you dont run into all the high school and middle school kids getting out they tend to gather there other than that its fun

Such a GREAT PARK so big and such a cool playground for the kids. Love all the geese that you can feed bread and the amount of space for all the kids to run and play is awesome. I love it. This js a great place for children to play!

Playground is good. No bathroom facilities were open. Seems to be the norm for this park unless baseball games are going on the bathrooms are not open
