A fantastic bit of nature in the city. Great thicket, trails, and birding.

Birding Haven! Introduced to this place when they had a Crimson Collared Grosbeak and Blue Bunting. This is a sanctuary in the center of Weslaco. The trails are beautiful and circle around wetlands, a sabal palm forest and even an orange grove. Definitely recommend this place to soothe the soul.

It was peaceful and quiet, but right in the middle of town. Wish we could have seen some more birds. Should have gone earlier in the day.

Loved that theres water to help the birds; and so many great birds can be seen there. Enjoyed the signage that identifies plants; an oasis in the middle of town, and a nice little nature center.

Wonderful variety of habitats that are accessible, yet deceptively easy to get lost in. There are feeders setup throughout and it seems to be a hotspot for rare birds.

A beautiful 11 acres of land that is very diverse. Small but wonderful! Entrance is 5$ for regular adult, 4$ for seniors, and 3$ for college students with ID

Awesome place to just relax and enjoy nature. The terrain is easy to walk and walker and wheelchair friendly.Am looking forward to do the night tour.

Assuming you are a serious bird watching enthusiast, this wildlife reserve offers the perfect location to capture glimpses of the unique seasonal aviary creatures. The hours to visit are a bit short but when you live in south Texas the heat can be overwhelming. In conclusion, I must say my visits were relaxing and educational.

Frontera has a wonderful nature trail, inspiration garden, and historical home on the property. This is the perfect place for a small outsoor wedding and reception. It is also great for engagement and graduation photos. There is a charge for these events to occur, but it is reasonable and the money goes toward maintaining this lovely oasis in the City of Weslaco.

Good trails in dry weather for seeing South Texas specialty birds. Rare Golden-crowned Warbler seen for the last few weeks.

Perfect place to escape the hub bub of the city. A varsity of activities are offered. Excellent place to view birds.

Awesome place for birding and will come back next time I am in the RGV but you really need to do something about the feral cat following people around and meowing constantly.

This place is run down. The trails are unkept and not much to see. Unless you want to see garden hoses, views of the street, trailer parks and plastic chairs. Waste of money and time dont bother.
