Lots of fun with great classic arcade games. The best part is that you dont have to pump quarters into them. Just play all you want with unlimited credits.

Awesome place to go. We went for my adult sons birthday and he and his friends loved it. Unlimited play for a set amount. Unlimited choice of music in their juke box. We definitely will go again. They have a birthday room you can rent. If alcohol is your thing, you can BYOB. They do sell snacks and bottled drinks.

Great place for the kiddos! Very reasonable, took kids today - today’s deal is $15 . for unlimited arcade game play! Kids did not come back to ask for more money or to reload card or more tokens. They played till they were tired and said let’s go, instead of me having to drag them out. They have snacks and drinks at counter.

Great place to come to with the family, $15 a person per day and considering all the games would be 50 cents to a dollar each its a steal. I love coming everytime and seeing how its progressed.

The Game Preserve is a true 80s to 90s-style arcade in Houston; great selection of arcades, pinball machines and music videos. It is the closest thing to the annual Houston Arcade Expo that one can experience year-round. $15 per person for unlimited daily free play is a tremendous value in 2019.

What a great place!! No kids under 16 without an adult. That’s probably best. These games are old and need to be handled the right way. They are always bringing in new ones that get repaired. They have a stage that I hope could be used for karaoke or a trivia night.Loved all the games! 80-90’s themed. They have a little party room and an eating area that looks like a pinball layout.BYOB! or food. They have some snacks there to buy, but I wish they had a bar and made actual food. If you haven’t gone, GO visit!$15 for all day play on all games. I think they will build off of it in the future. It isn’t very big.

Went for a concert and to play some games and seriously it is SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!! The staff is extremely friendly and you pay $15/person (or you can get a membership, but we live in Katy) and you can play all the games you want! They have a wide selection of games, music playing, they sell drinks, it is just a really fun way to spend the day!!!! Also kids under I think 16, have to be accompanied by an adult, so its just a really good atmosphere and my family and I have every intention of coming out there more often!!!!!

Wonderful place for me. Its all my adolescent dreams of never ending video game play on the games I used to play as an adolescent. And its BYOB, so I can drink. Complete with 80s music and disco ball lights. My two young boys, 4 & 6, also love it. And they are very family friendly.

Great fun! Loaded with tons of classics, and it looked like more in the back on the way (either waiting to be put in rotation or repaired?). Love just paying the cover fee and getting unlimited play. Took my sons and a friend, they had a blast. Only change I would make is adding a few hand sanitizer stations... but maybe thats just me being a germaphobe. If you grew up playing in arcades, you need to check this place out!

Old school arcade! This place is brand new and highly anticipated (by me). They are an arcade fashioned after the ones that used to be in the malls and if you are from the area (South Houston,Sagemont,Pearland) the old Supertrack @ College & 45. They have Defender, Stargate, Gauntlet II, Xenophobe, Pacman and Ms. Pacman, Galaga but best of all they have pinball machines. I recognized at least half of the 15+ pinball machines there. Gameplay is free play with a gamepass. Check the pics for the prices and hours and get you butts up there!

Love the Spring location because they seem to monitor the maintenance on the pinball machines much better than the Webster location. My last visit to Webster had 5 of the main pinball machines with deficient or weak flippers. They say they have ordered parts to fix but its been weeks already. Hopefully they will get serviced soon since its a shorter drive. Overall a great bargain for a family.

So the place just opened up and some of the games were a little finicky but we had so much fun! My 11 year old nephew and 26 year old son playing games together and having a blast. Whats not to love. And just when I thought pinball machines were just for us old folks. Party space was huge and had restrooms. Nice perk.

Had really high hopes. Bought 2 passes for the wife and I but definitely didn’t get our value for the time there. The 2 player games need some space so that more than one person can fit if someone is using the machine next to it. A lot of the popular machines had issues with either the controls or game play. We tried double dragon II and it was very sluggish game play, switched over to Double Dragon and player 2 wouldn’t go backwards. The machines that did seem to work were games I’ve never heard of. Tried the pinball selection and it was better but even some of those seemed like the flippers didn’t have any action left. Paddles were very sluggish and would get stuck on multiple machines. Really seems like a great idea and hope it gets better. If the tech could get some help. Noticed one man was non stop working on machines but probably too much for one person to handle.

Theres lots to like about this place and Im very glad its here in the area. Weve been a few times now and will certainly go back. Before Id be driving into East Downtown (only on certain days) to Joystix to get my pinball fix, now theres something much closer to me, which is awesome. The entry fee is also fair, and its cool that its BYOB and food. I could see throwing a party here with a bunch of pizza and drinks and whatnot. All that being said, I hope the place continues to improve, it almost feels like its still in soft opening mode or something. Lots of empty space more machines could go, quite a few machines not working properly, and plenty of filler games that no one is really interested in. Get a handful of A-Tear games in here, keep more of the machines up and running (I get that theyre old so theyre going to go down more often than newer games would), and maybe start running some events - tournaments, trivia, karaoke, etc., and this place would go from being nice to have in the area to a real treasure.

Br

I really like this place. Theyve got some obscure, and older arcade machines. Many of which I have never seen before and really enjoyed. They really need a House Of The Dead machine, imho.

Ja
Review №43

Im rating 4 stars because I appreciate the idea of this place and with time it will continue to be rated around a 4 but right now, its more like a 2 or 3. The owners are extremely courteous and the star rating is really no fault of their own. I was hoping for more when I brought my son in today. I think I counted a dozen machines out of commission out of 40. So almost 1/4. Several more were not playable because of CRT or projections that were going out. There is an entire room of machines that are waiting to be fixed to go on the main floor. Like I said, I give this four stars because its a tough business with antique equipment that is more difficult to fix every day. The owners seemed great and have a great model...bring your own food and drinks, the snacks are cheap and they dont try gouging. My 10 year old was unfortunately bored after 1.5 hours and I milked another 45 minutes just to say we got our monies worth. This has great potential, I just hope it succeeds long enough to make it that potential.

We are from Lufkin Texas. My son turned 13 and wanted to spend his birthday at an actual arcade. After doing some online searching we found The Game Preserve and we were not disappointed! We showed up at opening time at 1 pm and didnt leave until 7:30. We had soooooo much fun playing classic arcade games and OMGolly I am in LOVE with their pinball collection. We purchased the family membership, because we travel this way often for family and friends. We will be back this way the weekend after next and we are already planning on coming by again (we have some high scores that are calling us to challenge them)!

Game preserve. What can I say? What a place for classic arcade fun! Theyre just opening so of course dont expect perfection. Its a good time but a lot of the games werent working. Give it a couple weeks and they should be up and running with more games soon! Additionally, they are nearly twice as big as the Woodlands location with 11,000 sqft. The atmosphere was really cool too with blacklights and a space ship shaped DJ booth! You should definitely give them a try.

They advertised two games that we mainly came to play and they had neither. We were there for 15 minutes walking through looking for the game. When asked about it she said we dont have it RIGHT NOW. We asked if we could get at least 1 admission fee back due to the fact they didnt have the advertised game and was told no. I didnt ask for both because we did play 3 games. We would have played 2 more but they would not start. Probably wont be back.
