Back in action from pandemic shut down! The place was spotless, all employees in maaks, as well as customers. The crowd was sparse due to it being a smaller theater, which is why we chose it. The roasted chicken apple salad was fresh and delicious as were the burger sliders. It was very easy to choose seats well separated from other customers. The kitchen and service areas were also very clean. It felt really safe. Its nice to see a movie on a bigger than TV screen again!

Nice theater layout and comfortable seating. Surprisingly good food also.We took Mom there for Mothers Day movie date with four of her five kids, all three grandchildren and more...️️️ It was the Avengers movie...

Extremely disappointed. We have been looking forward to coming here for a while. We showed up on a Wednesday and asked for the hot dog special. They said we dont do that anymore. I said well its on the website. They said nope only drink specials I said cool online it says dos xx is 3,.50. There like naw we changed that to. Again this is online and they are not honoring their prices online and false advertising. We will be staying with star cinma grill. P.s. popcorn was stale and luke warm

I’m not usually one for reviews but this experience was highly disappointing. We saw a movie last night for the the first time since covid and man it was a waste of money. I had the chicken panini (not a panini a sub) Which had rotten chicken in it. It literally smelled like fish. And the popcorn we had was stale and it was probably sitting in the popcorn machine for a week. I understand times are tough for business but you can’t be cheap with the food. Fresh ingredients still matter. By the way I did get food poisoning from the chicken. Only had two bites of it but that’s all it took.

The comfortable seats are the bomb!!! Food was great, overall awesome i will be returning!!! Also.like u get to choose your seats none of that hurry up feeling!!!

Been meaning to try this place out, we frequently go to Star Cinema, we won some free passes and finally made it in. We had theater to our selves since it was a matinee during the week. Loved the seats and the overall place is really nice and clean. We didnt have anything other than popcorn but next time maybe we will plan on going for the full experience. We will be back.

I think the best thing about this theater is the food. They have so many options and it is great quality. They did update their seats for a lot better comfort to recline pretty far back. However, I did go see Lion King with my family and we could barely hear the movie due to the super loud air conditioner right above our heads. Still would rather go here instead of other places for a less crowded theater.

Comfy seats that recline, and theater is usually pretty empty. I like to avoid a crowded theater so works out well. They also dont allow young kids (I forget the age limit), which lets me see movies like frozen (as an adult lol) without kids yelling or singing. Get there early to ensure you have time to order and get your food before the show starts! The pizzas are big and worth the price!

Great laid back atmosphere. Good food and drink options. The theater seats recline and are very comfortable! Be sure to bring an extra sweater or blanket, it’s always so cold in the theaters.

I like this theatre - good food, good drinks, friendly staff. I think it is great that they have local beers on tap. The concept theatre is a bit different being that you have to bus your own food to your seat. But the upside of that is not hearing waitstaff talking over the movie. So i honestly dont mind it being done that way. With the recent renovations to Star Cinema Grill it will be interesting to see how District Theatre holds on-- it is owned by the same company - so I wonder if changes are also coming to this little nice theatre. Heated seats would be nice :)

The seats. OMG, the seats are amazing. Leather style, electric reclining seats that will stretch out like a Lazy Boy with wide rows providing plenty of space. This is quality seating-not quantity seating. It is clean with nice modern touches. It has the nicest restrooms Ive seen and the food is lower priced and higher quality than traditional. I view theaters. You can actually eat a meal here.

Purchasing tickets online is very easy, retrieve them at a kiosk just inside the door. Customer service at the counter for food was very helpful, very friendly. Customer service was superb!!. Food is average bar food at best Id rate it 3 1/2 out of 5. I do prefer the smaller venue. And the recliners are an added bonus.

I enjoy this theater because you don’t have server bringing trays of food out in front of you. You get your own food at the counter. Recliner seats are nice. Not so busy of a theater most of the time.

Small clean theater that I go to out of my way to enjoy a nice movie. Definitely a place to take a date. Small theater that never seems to be packed with automatic reclining chairs and lot of leg room. Check it out and see for yourself.

Dinner and a movie! Whats not to love? This location has leather recliners and yummy food. We went to see the latest Star Wars with my family and everyone enjoyed the experience.

Love this theater. You basically are laying down in the most comfortable, roomy recliners to watch the movie. Just wish they served you at your seat like Star Cinema Grill, but Districts recliners beat Star Cinemas!!!

Good location to watch movies while you eat. The food isnt cheap, but you can eat while you watch, which is nice. Most of the options are grill or fryer, so dont expect healthy. The seats are recliners, like most places. You do have to order your food and go get it, so take that into account when planning your arrival.

District theaters have become the only place I go to watch movies. The staff at this location are knowledgeable and friendly. This location is always clean and well kept by the staff. They have plenty of parking as all the surrounding businesses are closed pretty early. The food is very good and satisfying.

Nice theatre, looks all new. Prices seem a little higher then elsewhere but its a nice place. The movie picture quality seemed higher then elsewhere. Food was good too.

Our go-to for date night. Food is outstanding, wide variety of drinks, and the comfort and quality of the movie viewing is beyond comparison. What can be better than this?

So last night 10/26/19 we stopped in to see The Joker for the 1015 showing. We got our tickets with no problems, walked to the food counter and ordered a drink, candy and popcorn. The popcorn came from a tub on the counter that was under a heat lamp. When we got the popcorn it was cold. We asked the manager if some hot popcorn could be made and we were told no, that they were closing soon and wouldnt make anything fresh. My wife then asked for a refund as we did not want to spend over $50 to go to the movies and eat cold popcorn. The Manager the said Well I guess you just want what you want. This was extremely rude! We got our money back and drove to AMC and saw the movie there. On a further note, we also watched another gentleman return to the food counter with cold fries and he was hassled about getting fresh fries!!! If your going to stay open later, you may want to have or be willing to make hot fresh food.

The food is great. The seats recline and are comfy. I always get the chicken tenders with an extra side of fries. The tenders are lightly breaded and the fries are crispy. We dont indulge at the bar but their selection is decent if your looking for a craft beer or a stiff drink.

Pretty good food and great drinks. Had an issue for the first time because the seats were messed up, but moved with no problems. Will be back.

I really wanted to love this theater. Its so beautiful when you first walk in. The theaters are smaller than most. But the seats were beyond comfortable. My only issues were we paid a little more than we normally would to see a movie. And within the first 10 minutes of being in our seats a cockroach ran across the little wall in front of us. Of course we killed it...but nasty. I get this is Texas and it just happens, but this establishment sells food and drinks. So hopefully the roach was a fluke.My only other problem was we could hear another very loud action movie playing throughout most of the movie. I would say Id venture back again. Just wont be rushing back. (P.s. I was obsessed with that beautiful light they had)

Decided to get food since I skipped dinner. All I wanted was a simple salad so I ordered the house chopped. I wanted protein on said salad so asked if I could add chicken to that salad. I was told that was too hard for the kitchen to comprehend especially with all the other orders they have so it was impossible.impossible to add grilled chicken on a plain house salad.Clearly not a real kitchen and wont be returning to this location.

We use to only go to district movies for the past 2.5 years but after last night we won’t go back! We bought tickets to watch a movie with our children and specifically chose the last show time because we did have two small children with us, as we grab our tickets the lady at the front called us over and then told us our 2.5 year old wasn’t ALLOWED in the movies, only 3 and up and I told her that there isn’t much people in the theater and she then showed me the room and there was literally only 4 other people in the movie! And she kept insisting to just refund our money and for us to leave, so we got our money back and left and went to Cinemark 18 who allows 1 to 11 to watch movies (our son did awesome during the movie no problems!) we bought the movie club subscription for Cinemark and will go there from now on and won’t be referring anymore people to district theater!

The best theatre Ive ever been to. The seats are soooo comfortable. They recline all the way back. The food is fresh, hot, and jam packed with flavor. I could go just for the food. Luckily theres always a good movie out for me to stop by and see though.

This place is amazing. I have gone here for the past few years and its its great. The food there is amazing and they have great reclining seats.

Their food is surprisingly good. Sometimes we stop at a restaurant for a margarita, then head to the theater to eat. Everything is great about this place. Much better experience than a large Walmart-type theater. What? You know what I mean...Cinemark, AMC, etc.

Probably my favorite theater in the area. They have a good selection for any bar food and bites, and the drinks are pretty good too! I like the fact that they are small, it feels homey!

We love this spot. Nice quiet movie theater tucked away from the usual movie-goer crowd (noisy kiddos and teens, were looking at you!). Not to say kids are not welcome--they do offer kid-friendly movies in addition to adult offerings. The menu for food and drinks (both alcoholic and nonalcoholic) beats any other theater Ive been to visit. Sometimes the booming noise from the movie in the theater next door can be heard, but I dont usually notice it while Im engaged with my movie.

This is our go to theater! The tickets arent bad, the popcorn is fresh, and they have a full menu and bar on top of that! What really makes this theater though is the super comfy full recline seat. Plus they are very roomy. We used to go to Star Cinema but now we only see movies here. It has everything youd want in a theater!

Lovely and clean theater. The seats are spacious and comfortable. The seats also recline and have a leg support. You have a personal table with a cup holder. The decor is modern and chic. I did not order and food ir drink at this visit but I will at a future visit. It was very cold but was fine with my jacket.

Good food, although I had chicken strips last time and they were saturated in grease. Everything else Ive eaten there has been good. Seats are very comfortable and recline. Staff is friendly and they have CLOSED CAPTION devices for hearing.impaired.

Great food as well as a fantastic theater! I was surprised by the food! I had the beef tacos, the flavors were deep and profound. The meat was insanely tender, topped with fresh onion, cilantro, served with lime. One of the best things was dipping the whole thing into the delicious salsa verde I will definitely be back!

First time at District Theater. Must say I was impressed. Top positive - the seats. Power recliner! With a small food table. Sweet. It was clean, the food and drinks were very good and the staff friendly. The online ticket purchase was easy as was the pickup at the theater. I really like the reserved seats. Nice. This is a small theater with small individual theaters which I really like. A great experience from beginning online to the end.

This place was HORRIBLE!!! My friends and I were going to watch IT chapter two for my 17th birthday. When we finally arrived we went to get some food but the cashier age checked us and said we couldn’t buy any food because none of us were 18. We are all 17 so I don’t understand how I can be too young to buy a burger. All their workers were even watching us and staring at us the whole time we were there. They made me feel super uncomfortable and unwelcome. They were really rude and this is not how people should be treated. This place made me feel like a CRIMINAL!!! Ive seen plenty of movies here by myself so I thought that this was uncalled for. I understand their rules about seeing an R rated movie but what I don’t get is how they can refuse to help a paying customers that just wanted some food. They even asked us to leave before I could call and get a ride home. I had to sit in 100 degree weather until I got picked up. This place used to be really good and have quality customer service so idk what the hell happened but they need to fix this ASAP. I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star for their customer service and truthfully I believe that they should be fired for the way we were treated. They could’ve handled the situation better before it had to escalate this far.

Really nice theater.. first time there! Definitely taking a blanket next time I go.. its freezing!! But super comfy seats. Recommend it!

The seating was amazing. The food was great. The only thing we didnt care for was there was nothing at all on the screen until after the show time, it was actually late starting. The advertising didnt start before the movie time. They started when the movie was supposed to start. But otherwise is was a really nice theatre.

I prefer this over Alamo or Starr Cinema Grill. Their seats are just as comfortable, their food is just as good with a decent variety, and their beers are priced reasonably. Get a pitcher to save a few coins

Fantastic theater. Just passing through and wanted to see Captain Marvel. . . Great comfy electric reclining seats and great price. We didnt get any (just ate dinner down the road) but they offer food and alcohol at the concession that you can bring in with you.Wish they had one of these in Anderson SC!

Place is a bit hidden but other than that, service was pretty good. Theater was clean, the seats are pretty darn comfy! Bathrooms are also really clean! Definitely recommend this place!

Was having date night expecting dinner and a movie but it was no where near the experience we expected, especially the tray that limits the space in the recliner. We ordered the food from the kitchen and it was good but pricey. Biggest issue was that you have to leave your seat to order food at kiosk and you have to pick up the food when its ready. This takes away from the dinner and a movie experience. In the future we will definitely go to Star Cinema Grill instead.

This is the best theater in the area. It always has open seats, the staff is great, and it’s very clean. Food is okay, but has large quantities. The seats recline and are comfy. The only thing I wish they would really improve is the coffee!! Please consider getting a better espresso machine or even higher quality coffee beans. It’s disgusting.

A more hipster and more pretentious version of Alamo Drafthouse. The food is decent and the seating is more comfortable.

This place is GREAT! They have all the best local draft beer selections. The food is on bar with the beer, all of it is locally sourced (if possible).Highly recommend checking this place out. The chairs are super comfortable and the recline!

The seats are super comfortable! The food is good, though a bit pricey. The quality of mixed drinks depends on the bartender, so if its one of the younger, less experienced ones Id stick to beer. The popcorn is good too, which is important.

The theater is very clean, with reclining seats, tons of drink options, and a great staff. This isnt the traditional dinner and movie place, you order your food at the front, which is nice because people arent working across distracting you. The food is also delicious, I would definitely recommend this place!

Saw Endgame here last night. A couple issues:1) The person handing out 3D glasses had no idea there was a kids size versus an adult size. When I pointed this out to her, she said “I’m sure the other people I gave glasses to will figure it out when the movie starts”. I personally told a few adults in the theater to go exchange their kids pair of glasses for adult pairs before the movie began so they didn’t miss parts of the movie trying to get proper glasses.2) The 3D format was not active when the trailers or movie began. When I pointed this out to staff, they dismissed me saying “it’ll be fixed when the movie starts”. Well, we watched 15 minutes of movie with a red and green overlay and no 3D on our screen. They had to restart it and they restarted it in the trailer. I tried to tell them before the movie began, but they didn’t care.3) When the movie restarted, the lights stayed bright for a long time, got brighter for a couple minutes, and finally went down.4)The sound was bad before the movie restarted, good when the movie restarted during the trailer, and bad when the actual movie began. (We missed quieter spoken lines of the movie).It was my first time coming to this theater because it was the only establishment with tickets to Endgame left at a decent hour. Now I see why. I have no idea how the food was, although it looked good. But the actual presentation of the movie and the lax attitude of the staff was awful. I used to manage a movie theater, so I know how sometimes things can happen beyond your control. This was not one of those times. This was just poor service, straight up.

It was extremely cold in there, couldnt even enjoy the movie. And you could hear the movie going on in the other screen. The food wasnt great either. Definitely will not be back to this place.

I love this place. I like the idea of being able to have dinner and a movie in one, but find servers coming in and out of the theater distracting. This location allows you to order your food before hand bring it into the theater entrées and eat in peace while watching a movie. The seats fully recline and which is great for us short people who can’t reach the floor.

First time going there, they wouldnt let me bring my 1year old Granddaughter in the movies so we let. Spoiled my valentine day.

The seats are amazing! Electric recliners and it doesnt matter where you sit, even in the front row, you have a great view of the screen. The food here is great. The management team is also compassionate and is very helpful!

This was our first time here! Greg was at the front who helped us and was more than amazing with customer service! The concept is really cool, theaters are super clean and the food is great! Very kid friendly! Will come back for sure!

Good theater, with reclining comfortable seats, a cool vibe, and a restaurant / bar where you can order food to bring into your movie. Would get five stars except partway through the movie I was watching I could hear the movie from the adjacent theater for at least 10 minutes.

L-O-V-E District Theater! No unaccompanied teenagers running around, full bar with great drinks, good food but the menu should really be expanded.

I just took my son to see the Avenger movie... the experience here was just great! Theres a bar with an intense variety of beer. You can also buy ur bottle of wine and take it with u to watch ur movie :) Super great experience! When we come back to this town, we hope to have time to catch the next new flick here!

We can always find tickets at this theater when others are packed or sold out. Food is decent and the only drawback is that you go pick it up yourself when its ready. Not that big of a deal IMHO.

The seats are amazing! It is even easy to see the whole screen from the front row. The electric recliners are very comfy and super nice. The food is great! The tickets are cheaper better than any where else. The trays are nice and there and the is a nice cup holder! The parking is plentiful. This is the best kept secret!
