Absolutely love this park. Its not too crowded and everyone is very polite. I live in Asheville and its a 40 minute drive, but worth it because the parks in Asheville are overly crowded. Ill definitely be going back.

I became a member this past January, I wanna say for my personal experience I enjoy myself there 5 days a week, cardio equipment and wight lifting equipment r very wonderful and clean, I hope they open up soon after this pandemic,cause I miss my workouts there, the staff for the most part r friendly

I love this park. We love to bring the dog to the dog park and we love to play disc golf. What a beautiful course!

Check in was sort of awkward, but the pool area was warm and fun. Not very busy at all. Everything was turned on on the kiddy area as soon as we arrived. Kids had fun, and loved how spacious it is.

This is a great place to bring family they have a lot of options for physical entertainment. The shower and locker rooms are very clean, well lit and open. The pool is awesome because its indoors so you never have to worry about getting sunburned there was a water slide and a bunch of different fountains for kids to play in theres a recreational pool and a pool for doing laps which is really nice. Awesome place just a tad pricey.

I took my 2 granddaughters, one has 2 very well behaved children. A 3 year old son and a 2.year old daughter. The woman at the desk was not friendly or helpful. The floor staff said that my 3 year grandson needed to leave the womans dressing room when we were getting ready to leave. When the staff person said ( does this belong to you?) pointing to the top of his head I was heartbroken. He is a child or a little boy felt like my family was disrespected. I have never heard anyone speak about a child as it or this before. No way will we put him in the boys dressing room alone! We do not plan to go back.I must say the lifeguard was very good at his job. He kept his eyes on the children.

Excellent place to get some exercise. Many options, its always clean, friendly staff, and very reasonable prices.

Friendly, good selection of classes. Love the convivial feel of the lobby in the morning with coffee pots and tables of varied regulars viditing.Great paved walkway by the creek and love love love the story boards! On the downside, Upstairs is rather gloomy. Ceiling tiles and fluorescent light fixtures have bugs in them that have been there for years. But bathrooms and locker rooms are always clean otherwise.

Always a fun peaceful place to visit! Beautiful creek with ducks next to the paved walking track along with informational boards throughout the park. Also has picnic tables, disc golf and playing field, bleachers, pavilion as well as public restrooms. Dog friendly. Kid Approved! Enjoy!

We love going here! I do agree from previous reviews that there should be more lighting in the pool area. Ive been there during cloudy times and it just isnt bright enough...I have 3 & 7 year olds and always looking out for both so with low lighting (from windows/natural outside light)it doesnt help! However we really love the space and enjoy our visits!

We had an amazing time at the recreation center for my granddaughters birthday. The process very reasonable we had the room for 4 hours everybody got the swim it was worth every dime the staff was great. Everyone had a wonderful time we will be having all of the kids birthdays hear from now on

This was a well-organized facility. We arrived with a group of 50+ kids and the guided is quickly and efficiently through instructions and evaluated the children quickly for swimming skills before releasing them to enjoy the pool area for three hours. Some of the kids chose to play basketball and volleyball too. It was a good experience.

Came up from Augusta Georgia to visit some friends the next exit down and we all play disc golf. Awesome course, great layout beautifully designed. I look forward to coming up and playing it again.

Good pool area, not very many lifeguards though. The track is really nice, but the lines need repainted because theyre really faint. Has bleachers by the track and by the field for soccer. Nice place all in all

Seems like a nice facility. They have every exercise venue and pickleball. Out of towners pay $6. a visit.

Rude employees, if I pay a monthly or yearly membership for a child or my family why are we all not allowed to do the same things, my 15 year old was with an adult and was told that he cant workout in the gym or be on the track, why is it a problem. Does your mission statement not want to help kids who want to be healthier. Will go elsewhere from now on! !

This place is so awesome. I had no idea until recently as I am not originally from the area. The director of camps is so nice and good with everyone. Awesome pool, gym, playing fields, stream with trail, right behind awesome wooden playground, Base Camp on the Go, camp every summer, human sized hamster ball and more. Go check it out. Totally worth it and you will keep going back!

Well I have been here many times and never had a complaint but I went to reserve a birthday usually you get a room and 20 swimmers for $69 which is a great deal well this time they told me the pool was all booked up but they had a party room but I had to pay for 2 hours which was $52 and i could pay for my swimmers the day of we went swimming so the room was booked from 4-6 and I specifically asked what time the pool closed they said 7 I was like really in thought it was only open till 6 she said nope 7. 2 weeks ago and played $20 For 6 swimmers well today when I go to check in and the lady says you know the pool closes at 6 I was like ok but they told me 7 2 weeks ago that was strick 1 then I only use the room from 4-5 so we can swim for an hour left some behind to clean up thinking we got another hour no hurry but the people start rushing them out the room cause they got to close the room but they should have never worried about the room until we cleared our stuff out since we rented it for 2 hours we get in to swim and the kiddie pool was closed said someone pooped in it so they would need thirty minutes till they could open it back up which is understandable but they should of just told us that they werent gonna open it back up I also have always used their kiddie vest for my son and I asked where they were and they said that they were only for swimming lessons they changed it last week well the kiddie side is close and my 1 year old cant swim it would have been nice to use it since he could play in the kiddie side very bad experience will not be coming back.

Great place to take your children.

The facilities are nice, but their policies are absurd. To qualify for a family pass you must file taxes together, literally doesn’t even matter if you’re married. Also, I was informed today of policies within the facilities that are illegal. While attending my daughters swim lesson with my baby, I was told that in order to nurse I have to cover. This violates North Carolina’s laws. Keep in mind I am not allowed to leave the poolside with him, alternative snacks and drink aren’t allowed, I sit on an alternative bleacher not facing the kids, and keeping the blanket over a babies face in an 80 degree room with 99% humidity is much easier Sid than done.

Im not sure what is happening but the path at Vance Street park and along Richland Creek Greenway is absolutely littered with dog feces. Along with the soccer fields and in the new, unfenced playground. Its a shame as well as a major health hazard..

This is our go-to place to keep fit, and Bryan, the gentleman who is our fitness guide on the 2nd floor is friendly, warm, caring and most helpful. The ladies at the front reception are also great. Wish they would install a NO CELLPHONES policy. Gary

Need to update hours, drove out here after looking online and it saying they open at 1 and they have a sign on the door saying closed sunday.

Drove 45 mins to take my 3 kids to swim. To be informed theyre closed until 4 for a swim meet. Which would have been fine if they had posted something on their website, which I checked that morning before leaving to make sure they were open.

Looks like a great place to exercise. I only went there for a meeting.

One of the best municipal parks for young children and skateboarding teens. Free entry and parking. Also great for scenic walking and biking. Challenging frisbee golf course. Dog romping area.

They have water aerobics by Sandy and cardio water aerobics this is Monday and Wednesday and Friday just water aerobics and Tuesday laurea turbo water aerobics Thursday and after class we have more cardio aerobics.we have a ball great for men and women,helps with stiff joints and cognitive thinking and balance .come join some insurance companys pay for the classes.have a great day.

This Park was a very pleasant surprise.. very clean, modern and has lots of activities for everyone.. Go there, stay fit, have fun. make friends..

If you must go, insist on testing the waters temperature before paying!We took my son to the indoor kids pool, theyre the only place around to go to, and when we got to the pool area the air was freezing. But that didnt compare to the water temperature, it was miserably cold. We had to leave after a couple of minutes.The front desk must know theyre the only game in town as they didnt seem to care in the least when we told them what was going on.

We absolutely love bringing our children here its affordable and always clean and well staffed with nice respectful people

We love this place! The indoor water park is a blast on rainy or winter days, and hosting a birthday party is a breeze with their room rentals! The staff have always been friendly and accommodating, and the value is exceptional!

My wife and I took our 4 year old to the pool there. It was our second time there. They have these barbells that float beside pool. They float really well and my son used them the first time we are there he used then with no problem. This time he had been using then quite a while then the female life suddenly went just took yanked them out of his hands. Without saying a word to me it my wife. My wife was standing right beside him. The last time we was there the life guards did not mind and one of the life guards this time did not mind. It just her. What kind of a**hole acts like that. She is lucky she did not get her but whooped. Thankfully it did not ruin it for him. I just hate miserable people like her

Great place for a swim meet

I absolutely love the Waynesville rec center it has everything from swimming to basketball to gym equipment and racket ball. They have locker rooms with showers bathrooms lockers bathing suit dryers and hair dryers. They also offer classes and its not expensive at all for one small payment of like 7 dollars you get to use the whole facility

Good place to bring kids, but staff is incredibly rude. If you do go, be ready to pay. They charge you to even breath thier air. Next they will charge for vision to look at the building. Guess thats what we get in waynesville though.

On stream. Walking track. Fenced place for dogs to play. Recreation center with pool, etc. Skateboard ramps. Softball field. Tennis courts. Picnic area. Plenty of grass. Some shade. Kids and adults can play. Creek fishing. Kids love to play in shallow places in Creek.

Great outdoor center. Have not been indoors yet but I plan on becoming a member soon.

An okay indoor pool. A little expensive for just indoor swimming but worth it to use the other facilities. Water park side was fun but shut down at 3:00 p.m. Dont understand having to vacate the pool during thunder since its inside. Not allowed back in until 30 minutes after thunder has stopped. No refunds either..

Very nice place

The place is close by and cheaper than other gyms and fitness centers. The pool is somewhat cloudy. I have also swam into the occasional hairball or band-aid which somewhat common at this pool. Thats my only gripe as someone who loves to swim and goes to different pools during the summertime. Other than that the place is alright.
