Beautiful day for a wonderful walk at our local golf club. Thank you Preakness Valley Management(Mr.Marty) for keeping the property so well manicured. Loved it.
Its hard to describe why I dig this place so much, but I love to visit Dey Mansion. The outdoor events in the rear garden are good. There is just a mellow, nice vibe here. Highly recommend you check it out.
Great experience of an original American historical landmark.
Great experience of an original American historical landmark. The only downfall, the golf course, where men urinate on tress as myself, my 6 year old, & my wife were exposed to as we made our way into the garden area for family pictures during our outing.
My visit to George Washingtons Headquarters at Dey Mansion (pronounced die) was great. The tour guide, Ken was very knowledgeable and the tour was very interesting, if you like history. I would go again if they finish restoring the other buildings. The entrance was hard to find, so look for the sign for the golf course and turn in there. See pictures I posted.
Loved this place. Beautiful historical home. Excellent guided tour. Extremely interesting.
It is beautiful. I went for a meditation class.
Great little bit of New Jersey and National History!
Intetesting tour and pretty grounds. Well worth the brief time it takes, less than 1 hour. Very cool to realize that famous, historic people actually stayed there - Washington, Hamilton, Lafayette, etc.
Knowledgeable and helpful people in Period Dress. It was a fun day for both adults and children.
Such a peaceful place with so many different things to do including taking a tour. However, we use it for Saturday mooooorning meditation. Absolutely gorgeous place. You can picnic golf variety of things to set up with the activities people
If you like history, then come here!
Kelley was a fantastic tour guide! We had fun and learned so much!
Great atmosphere and hikingBackground of two huge parksSterling forest and ringwood
Very weird leftover property as its sitting in the middle of a golf course. The tour guide never showed up so we left before seeing the inside unfortunately, which maybe is better than the outside?
Pretty historical place. I just went for the oath ceremony.
Great tour with a guide! Very interesting and educational.
Beautiful venue. Love the beauty of the gulf course on both sides.
I went here when I was in grammar school; I just remembered it as a fun field trip. My sis and I stopped in and had the most fun tour I can remember. The young tour guide was an intern AND he knew his stuff. No canned, scripted blah blah blah here! He is passionate about the mansion and the ground and it showed! He made the place come alive for us. I would recommend the Dey Mansion for history buffs of ALL ages!
Cool little place with picnic benches. I love eating lunch here under the trees and it looks like they are fixing it up also ( Nov 2018)
Very good. I enjoyed it vary much.
Great place to visit. They did a great job restoring it to its former glory.

Great place to visit, especially with the guide we had. She helped us understand what we were seeing along with stories from that time. We spent an hour here. Great for family with children just getting acquainted with early American history.
Went on a night time lantern tour and had a great time ! Lots of history and interesting facts here !
Best views, nicest people, fascinating story. Dont miss the experience.

Guides are very knowledgeable and always make every visit very interesting. This is a great day trip for families.Dey Mansion is currently open year-round with guided public tours Wednesday through Sunday.Washingtons bedroom and office are showcased. Original paint colors, some floor boards and a handful of original pieces belonging to the Georgian style home can be found. Other artifacts while not original to the house are from the middle to later half of the 1700s.You must visit, great part of American History,They also hold different events, check Facebook Events!
