This is Hillcrest Park in Waukesha, WI. This is a former U.S. Army Nike Missile Control Site. The Nike missiles that this site controlled were located and set to launch from a large bunker 1 mile south of this facility. If you are interested in military history or have friends or family that are, this is a great place to take them. Officially this facility was called Nike Missile Control Site M-74.
Does not look like it gets very much love. Everything grown over, broken glass in the parking lot, and just overall run down.
Beautiful view and cool history
Very cool to climb and explore the area. DO NOT graffiti as there is kind older gentleman who works very hard to keep everything looking nice *edit top is free for all man repaints green sides of main tower
History comes alive! nothing much to see anymore, but cool to know it was there.
Interesting site to view, but little historical information there. Learned more from Google.
This was a lot cooler than the Reebok missile site.
Cool place BUT you cannot go sledding.
Bizarre
Quiet place historic side
An interesting relic of 1956 through 1964. Only one marker that I saw.
AWESOME
