Gorgeous and historic theater. This is absolutely one of my all time favorites, especially in CT! Great customer service, and attendant assistance. Fantastic show. Will certainly be returning. This is a perfect spot for musicals, plays, and concerts/shows. The decor & architecture is outstanding, and absolutely stunning. There is great detail of art and design for whole theater and stage! In addition, the light show was amazing and sound was on point and sounded great! All around, amazing time! Clean bathrooms, great size theater that seats many but still an intimate feel to it. There is a good seat and view even from up in balcony. Loved my time here. Also love that there are drinks ( alcohol & non alcoholic beverages served ) and snacks as well. I highly recommend and look forward to returning.

First off this is s gorgeous theater. The venues in-its-day opulence is well preserved and very well maintained. From a viewing standpoint, there doesnt seem to be a bad seat in the house. From a comfort standpoint, not so much. Being seated in the lower mezzanine meant having to shoehorn my legs in, in such a way that my knees were either jammed against the seat in front of me or I had to twist myself so that one knee was against the seat and the other in front of the (thankfully) empty seat next to me.So while you will enjoy a night out in a beautiful theater, if you are in the lower mezzanine and taller than a 6th grader, your enjoyment will be dampened.

Wow...Waterbury is one lucky city to have this work of art some call a theater. Although, so many cities once had these truly beautiful performance theaters, alas, most met their fait with a wrecking ball, but not this one.Come here for a show, maybe a concert, or come for a graduation commencement from Post Univetsity as we did, but come here to see this treasure.Directly across the street is a small parking lot. Behind the theater is a huge, multi-story public parking building. There is a variety of nice eateries within walking distance too.

Came here to see Legally Blonde - The Musical. This was my first time here and this place is beautiful! I heard it had been renovated a while ago and they did an amazing job.We sat in the mezzanine, about the 4th row back. The seats were pretty good. We got a very nice view of the stage and werent that far back. Im guessing the mezzanine overhangs the orchestra probably around the 15th row or so (forgot to actually check).I feel like the back of the mezzanine may be a little far but that all depends on preference. Our seats were cramped. Im 56 and I have never complained about theater seating before but my knees were touching the seat in from of me. My husband is taller and was lucky enough to have an aisle seat, so he stretched his legs there. Apparently, not all seats are that bad, could have been our section but that made the show a little uncomfortable.I also noticed that there was quite a long line for drinks at the bar on the first floor but no line upstairs. Keep that in mind if youre getting drinks.Overall, beautiful theater, not too big so the mezzanine is still a good place to sit. Seating can be a bit cramped. Well be back though, they have a great line up of shows.

Enjoy the performances at the Palace Theater. They recently celebrated their 15th year in the performing arts with a showing of Casablanca and the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra. The sound was fantastic, and the movie classic. Since this is an older theater dont expect the seats to be very comfortable. If you have any issue with limited mobility, call the box office in advance for your tickets. They offer a cash bar with some snacks so its best to have a few dollars on you for your purchases. If you have a chance to get upstairs you will find a beautiful view of the restored venue.

The Palace is spectacular old world and gracious. We were so impressed by this theatre and really glad we got dressed up to attend the performance of Shen Yun. The show was so memorable and our seats were perfect. This venue was the only theatre in CT to host Shen Yun this year, and the glamour of the show was such a good match for the Palace. We will be sure to see Shen Yun at the Palace again@_@

If you are buying tickets for the Palace Theater in Waterbury do not buy them online. I repeat DO NOT BUY THEM ONLINE. Fist the web site is poorly designed, to the point of being crude. Second it does not support electronic tickets. Something that is simply unbelievable. If by some odd chance that it actually processing your transaction correctly paper tickets will be snail mailed to you. Apparently, it has a habit of dropping transactions. The problem is exasperated by the completely unsympathetic staff who will confirm that their system had dropped your transaction and do absolutely nothing to affect anything even slightly resembles a remedy. So, your only solution is to go to or call the box office to purchase you tickets.

Went and saw the Book of Mormon. It was a great show and a great production. The theater itself is beautiful and the lobby and stairs are very cool as is the theater itself. Unfortunately the seating is terrible. By that I mean I am average height and a little overweight. But nevertheless my knees were pressed hard into the seat back in front of me. The only way to sit even remotely comfortably was to sit crooked. If you are a smaller person this would not impact you. But anyone over 510 will run into this problem. That is the only reason for not a 5 star review. Also the people who worked at the theater were great! Really only problem is the seating

There are a few Palace Theaters so be aware. I attended Book of Mormon at the Waterbury CT Palace. A classic theater that has been beautifully restored. I sat upstairs where the seats were very cramped and I was not the only one who felt that way. Maybe more expensive orchestra seats are better. Parking was close, across the street, for a fee. Plenty of police directing traffic and assisting at the crossing.

Weve been to quite a few theatres both in CT and on Broadway. What a nice gem this theatre is. Its amazingly maintained. This place is gorgeous and the staff is friendly. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because the parking sucks. The lot across the street was full, and I had my handicapped mother with me. We had to park in a side alley. Neighborhood is not great, not safe. I felt like I was going to get mugged. They had cops outside but literally right outside the doors. Nowhere else where it was unsafe. Other than that, the venue is gorgeous. Reasonably priced. I like that theres a bar and you can eat inside. Even with how packed it was going to the bathroom as a female was fast and organized.

Went to see RENT and was blown away by how beautiful the theatre was.The staff at the bar and at the doors were helpful beyond belief and we were walked to our seats - a courtesy Ive never experienced elsewhere. The preformance was amazing, the seating was great and the sound was on point.Since I posted this review in April of 2018, Ive come back to see 2 other plays, both of which were just as masterful as the first, and again I was treated phenomenally by the staff. I would absolutely recommend you come see a show if youre in town.

My first time in Middlebury CT. And it was very easy to find (with gps) parking is on street, we had a six minutes walk. The Palace is absolutely beautiful and clean. Seating assistance is available all over. My only ugh would be that, because the theater was built so long ago when folks were a lot shorter, the amount of leg room is a bit tough. We survived though. We saw Bob Dylan and his band and it was an awesome show. The sound was perfect. Bob Dylan sounded great. I am very happy with my visit to the Palace and will definitely attend more venues there. The building itself is a work of Art!
