My child plays for the Maryland Rockville team and the coach is great! Coach Daniel really takes the time to teach them the essentials and I have seen my child go from sucking really bad to being a little pro!

Our experience with Jouons Football Club has been mainly after school through my older daughter’s school’s partnership with Jouons but we recently started bringing both our girls to participate with Jouons on Saturday mornings.Jouons Football Club’s sessions and clinics are not only excellent in developing skills such as ball control and dribbling but also great in developing team camaraderie. I’ve seen my daughter’s soccer skills morph from wanting to grab the ball with her hands to now dribbling with more control. She is also learning to pass the ball to others (as opposed to keeping it for herself).Coach Pierre, Coach Elvis, and Coach Jordan work well with children of all ages even as young as 2 (even my younger at age 2 daughter is emulating dribbling) and how to engage them. Sessions incorporate drills and conditioning exercises as well as a fun game. My older daughter told me that she likes the fun games they play such as tag, sharks & minnows - all while gaining confidence in handling the ball.Overall we have been highly impressed. My daughters are having a great time.

These guys are amazing. Jouons coaches manage to thread the needle of instilling soccer skills and player discipline while remembering that the kids still want to have fun. Pierre and his team clearly love the beautiful game, love to teach the beautiful game and enjoy the kids while they do it.

I cant say enough positive things about Jouons.Jouons has been an indispensable part of our childrens development. Not only have they both learned to love the sport of soccer and developed competitive soccer skills, theyve also learned life long skills about effort, practice, discipline, and teamwork. And theyve done it all in a no nonsense, joy-filled environment. The coaches are fantastic teachers. These arent soccer players trying to make a buck so they can keep playing soccer. These are soccer players who love kids and want ALL kids to develop skills. The spirit of Jouons -- the demanding, but loving coaching; the emphasis on skill development over winning games or scoring goals; and more -- is its key distinguishing feature.Lastly, unlike other soccer programs in DC, Jouons is a genuine community-based organization, serving the entire city. We LOVE LOVE LOVE Jouons.
