Quiet downtown park with a few tables, some slides/climbing in an area for children a full size athletic field and a basket ball court. Behind Foundry United Methodist Church between P and Church streets.

Its great to have an open field for sprint training near my office, the track is also pretty cushy and forgiving for warm-up jogs. However, the recycled tire crumbs used in the field fly everywhere and some studies have shown them being carcinogenic. Moreover, this facility could really benefit from a set of pull-up and dip bars, which could be installed at minimal cost.

Great park with good playgrounds for all ages, basketball court and soccer field in the back. Also the staff is great there.

This is a nice park, but does not have as much variety in equipment as the Kennedy Recreation park that is also relatively nearby. The rock climbing wall is missing several grips, which basically makes it impossible for children to climb. My daughter (4 years old) did enjoy the climbing steps with a chain and the pole ladder. Could use some minor repairs, but otherwise a nice playground. The big kid area here seems appropriate for late preschoolers (ages 4 and 5) through elementary school. The little kid area is more for toddlers.

Stead Park is a large park in Dupont Circle. Theres a small community center in the center with restrooms and drinking fountains. Surrounding the center is a field, a basketball court with murals, and two playgrounds. Our toddler enjoyed the park!

Co
Review №15

The play spaces were cool. The fountains were fun. The drinking fountains were wonderful- especially that there are two! There was a lack of shady places and lots of litter. Lots of free space for free run and activities.

Play structures need maintenance or the planned full renovation to go ahead. No shade structure over big kids area. Swing is broken and has been removed. Climbing wall in disrepair. Splash pad area is also in full sun and needs many jets repaired. The little oval area is nice for a picnic though.

Nice, convenient facility with lighted artificial turf surface (large enough for a pickup soccer game) and permitech track suitable for jogging. Separate play grounds with swings, slides, and climbing structures. Small picnic area, bball court and toilets. Good place for kids to let loose. Pets not allowed on playing field ( sadly that doesnt stop some dog owners.

This was the place I grew up playing. The difference is night and day from my childhood. From grass to turf. Playground upgrades. Basketball court might be the same but definitely clean. They have sports leagues that locals can enjoy. And even when there isnt a match of some sort, its a family friendly place. Nice place to sit and eat lunch during the day. The man thats been there for many years, still watches over the place with love for the community. His name is Vince and hasnt aged a day. Haha. Love this place dearly. Enjoy

Awesome! I love that there is water play and open park, well, its in the city. But the locals are awesome and the neighbourhood has a lot of great things to offer.Only drawback is that it has only small bubbles of shade.

Really nice park hidden away from any main streets in the backyard area of houses. Small field and not a ton of space, but overall very well manicured and serviced.

Cute park on the smaller side, but sufficient. Its divided into two sections, one for smaller kids and the other for older kids. There is field attached with a track that goes around. Metered parking is available right out front. One drawback is the lack of bathrooms.

Kiddo calls it the squishy park because of the rubber mat in the playground area. Its her favorite. 2 play areas depending on kid age. A soccer field. Basketball court and water play area for hot summer days. Only thing missing is restrooms.

This park is under construction constantly I wish they would finish. It’s supposed to be an oasis in the mist of an urban jungle but it seems more just like a large field for children to just run around in the dirt nothing really to constructive all the playgrounds are very small.

Ok splash park, a couple good playgrounds, but the sun roof is off one, which puts kids playing in direct sun (not so good in DC summer). Also a nice track and sports field.

Great, clean park. Has a nice track to run laps on and a playground for kids, as well as a pretty large asto-turf field. However, lacks good water fountains, and could use a bit more shade.

El
Review №47

It is a nice park for its size: theres a playground for toddlers through 5yo and another for 6yo through 12yo, a small basketball court, water fountains shooting from the ground in a separate space where children could run through, a large green space, a small run/walk track and picnic tables. It could have bathrooms for non-locals to use. After all, it is a park. Children will need them for sure.

Great place to play sports (basketball, football, soccer, etc). The artificial turf is honestly the hardest turf surface on which I have ever played. The field is illuminated, and lights shut off at 9:00 PM. Great location around 17th and P NW.

This is a horrible place. The kickball players are the worst. They are rude and violent and destroy the very quiet and peaceful life surrounding this park. I would suggest the city government close this entire place from loud people and only allow civilized citizens.
