Every time I visit the Lyman Estate its a wonderful time, I have never left without a plant.

The Lyman Estate is a jewel box of a venue. As a Boston wedding photographer, its one of my favorites. The mansion, grounds and greenhouse are all beautifully maintained and make wonderful settings for photos no matter the time of year. I especially love how each room has so much character. Last but not least, the staff are professional and kind, and work so hard to give couples just they celebrations theyve dreamed of.

Absolutely beautiful Estate and a nice quiet walk on a Sunday morning. Beautiful setting for weddings, senior and engagement photos. The grounds are just beautiful.

Lovely greenhouse but closed due to Covid 19. The plant sale here has a good selection of plants and are reasonably priced. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The sales are on at certain times of year.

Meet with friends to have a picnic supper on the lawn, nice quiet, safe place to get together, not very many other people around.

Its too bad everything is closed, but the ground are nice to walk around on. Plus we got to see where the dancing scene was filmed for Little Women.

Toured the house & greenhouses. Outstanding docents for both tours.

Grass well kept and people there are friendly. Good entertainment Thursday nights in July.

We had our wedding at the Lyman Estate and hired Nicole as our day of coordinator. We could not have been happier! The venue was beautiful in late August and we had a perfect set of lighting by starting at 5pm. Nicole was amazing throughout the process, helping with all of our questions, big and small. We cant recommend that combination enough!

Very nice. Food was excellent. Catered form somewhere else. Very picturesque for a wedding but had to deal with bugs and guests seated in multiple rooms.

Tremendous venue and the parking lot and path are fully lite contrary to Jay Allens review.You can even see the shadow of one of the light poles from space!!! (aka Google Maps)

Essential colorful midwinter break for flower lovers. I am sure to schedule a visit every February or early March to this small jewelbox of a historic greenhouse with dozens and dozens of blooming semitropicals and tropicals. Bougainvillea, pelargonium, jasmine, crown of thorns, begonias, some species I do not see anywhere else, and in the last largest, cool greenhouse, their famous old camellias which they have grown since the 19th century, in late winter bloom. If (Lyman) comes, can spring be far behind?

As wedding photographers specializing in outdoor photography, this venue is one of our favorites! There is a gorgeous outdoor ceremony space that feels like youve stepped back in time... We love the historic greenhouse on the property too.

Went here for a work event. Super nice and clean. Fancy. The staff was nice. I would definitely love to come back.

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding here. The property is truly gorgeous. Historic with calm beauty and a staff with attention to detail. The house and grounds are picturesque and the bridal suite has a quiet elegance. If you are considering this as a wedding venue, I will say it was only second to my beautiful friend on her big day.

Possibly because it was still winter, the open green houses were very small.I will come back in spring.

Great venue for a wedding. We didnt end up choosing it only because its too far from the church we chose, but its beautiful, reasonably priced, and the staff was fantastic.

We visited the estate for a tour, after my daughter picked this venue for her wedding. I cant wait for next year, it is going to be a beautiful day.

Was not a good time to visit. Gardens are under construction for renovations. The grounds are beautiful also the mansion is well maintained. I will return in the fall to view the flowers.

Dirt/gravel parking lot hard on nice shoes. Winter time, bring a sweater....inside is cold. Acoustics are tough. Food is so so

Absolutely beautiful wedding venue. The gardens were perfect and my cousins wedding here will stand out always as a breathtaking event.

My cousin was married here this past summer. I thought the property was really pretty and really well maintained. The garden along the brick wall was beautiful!

Meticulously restored Federal style mansion, reasonably priced for weddings and other events. Lots of light, beautiful grounds, period furniture, and a thoughtful, highly professional staff who make everything easy.

I was here for a wedding and it was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to. The estate is huge and majestic, and truly made the day even more magical.

The garden is extremely peaceful. I recommend going there and just sit under a tree if youre local.

Went to a lovely wedding reception there. I will be going back for a historical tour.
