This sanctuary has lots of shade and beautiful trees but not many kinds of birds. It looks like they have have 2 lakes, a damp, and a creek. Depends on the time of the day, you might see a pair of egrets. We saw lots of Phoebes catching insects, some blue birds, a turtle napping on a rock. There are more birds but they are quick to hide away. The reserve is under a restoration project so it will attract more both water land birds, and butterflies, too. I am not sure if the reserve has its own parking lot for visitors. I paid $4.00 to park in the parking in front of the reserve.
Good learning experience, it needs something more to make it great
