Played there yesterday 12/3/2020. My brother and I were paired with a great two some that did not care about their score so much; but there to have fun. Please come here to have fun, because this course will beat you up. We played the south first then the east. The south course is very difficult, especially the first three opening holes. They do a phenomenal job with the greens, especially during winter when all the greens in the area run slow. They were running at summer speeds. We all had trouble getting used to them. The layout is tough, you will hardly have an even lie or an tee shot that is not elevated or straight ahead. Come with you A game. From reviews, I expected slow pace. We only had to wait in two tee boxes, everyone was trying to finish 18 holes since we started late in the day. We Finished 16. They have plenty of staff to check you in and lots of carts. It is not walkable, but my brother and I always walk and we are in shape. We believe we play faster than a twosome in a cart. Overall, we had fun and I look forward to coming back and playing the north course, which might be the easiest of the three. A true gem in the San Gabriel Valley. One last thing to add; I own a rangefinder and also use an app to get yardages and track my score. My rangefinder was useless because there is no straight away shots. Many blind tee shots and second shots. On the south course, only the par 3 7th and par 4 9th are straight forward. So please download a golf app that allows you to see the overview of each hole because it will greatly helps. I really enjoyed the difficulty of this course.

Overall it was a fun round. The Marshall needs to be more attentive to slow play. If your tee time is after 1pm youre not going to finish. Super fast and deceptive greens.

Ive always had a therapeutic time at Royal Vista! Great mountain view, well kept golf course with easy access to food and drink! just be careful crossing Colima!

Nice courses! 3 separate 9 hole courses. East and North are the longer yardage courses. Pretty fun overall. They allow 5somes so there can be lots of waiting. The staff is very nice. Course needs some maintenance, but overall a decent course.

The Bunker Grill..vic is very hospitable during this time .social distance at its finest. enjoy!

Golf Course was in great shape play it in four and a half hours could have been faster a group of fun of us was a hole and a half behind no Marshall to be found

Hope LA county health department read this review.After re-open since covid19, they charge everyone as cart rider although they only give 2 carts for 4 players. 2 out 4 have to walk but they pay same rate. Most important part is that they do not do disinfecting cart. Just like old time, they re charge the battery and spray some waters on wheels. They suppose do disinfect the wheels and front components where people put drinks and balls.

Course in terrible shape .......the turf is all crabb grassy cant get a good lie in the fairway

Just was here for the driving range. Although Its a little small and the targets are very plain, the tee mats are great! Every single one had the rubber tee. I dont like using tees for driving because its a fast way to go through so many so I really appreciate the rubber ones. The pro shop girl named Suzy was very sweet and greeted me with a nice smile. Was Very welcoming and comforting especially since this is my first time here. This is actually a good driving range and I would recommend.

Love Royal Vista Golf Club for their Venue. My son got married here, I had my Retirement Celebration here, my Church has used this Venue, the San Gabriel Valley NAACP hosted numerous events at this Venue. The staff is very professional and friendly.

Decent golf course, the fairways are wide and the greens are on the small side. Used to play here in the late 70s early 80s. Nothing much has changed. Their regular green fees are a little pricey but the 12 and after fees are a good deal. Lots of hills and really no roughs. If you havent played before, give it a shot. Super friendly and helpful staff

Some of the fairways were a little brown but given the CA drought situation, overall they werent that bad. Nice vistas. There are three 9 hole courses to select your 18 holes from which changes the challenge when you play it a second time. And nice pro shop and staff. Restaurant did not open at 9:30 as posted so plan to eat before you play. Several putting practice greens are available and the on site driving range is convenient. A decent course.

I came on the company Xmas celebration Dec 2018. The landscape is good, with indoor rooms good for meeting.The food served needs more improvement. There were very few selections: one salad vegetables, one bread, two pans of noodles, one pot of meat.

Great course with fantastic course conditions with some very challenging holes. 3 stars because I am an inpatient very fast pace golfer. The course is a very slow paced course. Worth every penny if you bring your patients.

Price is Right. Greens are in awesome shape. Fairways and bunkers leave something to be desired, but heck... For the money and the fact that you can get on and play a weekday round in less than 4 1/2 hours and have a pitcher of beer in a nice club house.... Cant beat it.

Home course... it used to be untill we learned that they dont allow walking on weekends - greed.

Went for a private event. The bar was great, bartenders were friendly and hospitable.

This started out as Walnut Valley Country Club. It was very elite and private then. It still has very nice facilities and 27 holes of challenging golf for the public for fair prices. You will enjoy your day there.

Challenging course. Fairway is not good condition but it is ok. Fast green. Very slow and have to wait for 10min every hole.

Be careful with this golf course, because of their promotion, I spend couple hundreds dollars bought a practicing ball key dispenser. Last December, the machine told me my key is expired, then the driving range staff told me I am not able to use my balance in my key. They never told me the key will expire when they sold me the key. So be aware of their driving range!!!

Excellent venue for a wedding. Its very much worth stopping by and checking the grounds out. The coordinators are super friendly and always helpful. Put this on your Must see list. The room can hold up to 700 people for a wedding. They also allow outside catering on Sundays. Perfect for an Indian wedding.

Lots of challenging yards, great course

There are two course with each unique characteristics. The course is will maintain with a large parking lot and easy Access to the Free ways.

Couse is short and condition is bad.Every greens have every different speeds.Some green never stop.I will never play at this garbage course.Do not even think about it if you have a plan to visit.

You can tell the place is run down and not really well maintained. We looked at having our wedding here and we chose another place nicer and cheaper.

3 courses to choose from.Pros: great for the price, fun courses, 27 holes.Cons: can get very busy, have run into some very rude players here, seem a bit disorganized at the starters because of the 3 courses.

Ive been to a couple of golf courses and this one wasnt that clean. I came for a friends baby shower and right when you walk in youre walking on outdated carpet and old railings. For some reason the bar is underground hidden alongside the proshop. The food they served was mediocre at best and the staff hardly came to pick our plates. If you plan to throw any special events here look elsewhere as the entrance isnt a pretty site

I work here and could tell you that everything is great for a wedding or small party. Great views friendly staff and good food

Came here for a wedding and was extremely disappointed with the staff here. On a very special day for my family, the waitstaff was inconsiderate and rude, with the exception of one man who I wish I had gotten the name of.During our dinner, one of the children at our table decided he didnt want to have meat which he had marked on the RSVP. I understand that requesting a different meal than initially marked may be a hassle for the staff, HOWEVER we were assured that it wouldnt be a problem and he could indeed have the ravioli instead. The child asked me where his food was once everyone else had already had their entrees served. His father asked if I could help find out where his food was. When I kindly asked the woman server about it, she said Well he had marked meat originally. We have to wait until the end after everyone is done eating to see if theres any ravioli left over that we can serve him. EXTREMELY flat, no warmth OR even the least bit of urgency or assurance. It would have even been fine if she said something like, let me go check on that for you. This is a HUNGRY CHILD asking for a meal. If it wasnt something the venue could accommodate, then fine--but that wasnt the case. Was this woman seriously going to have this child wait until the very end of dinner until the child could be served some food on the OFF CHANCE that there MIGHT be something left over? Not on my watch. I approached another server, the aforementioned gentleman, and I asked him the same thing, to which he responded without hesitation, Oh yes, definitely. Ill talk to the kitchen and well get him something right away. Thankfully, in a few brief minutes, the ravioli came out.The child could have been anything really.. even something just to hold the him over until they figured out if there was ravioli left over as she said.Secondly, the security guards were overwhelmingly pushy. Following people with flashlights to their cars and watching their every movement. At the end of the night, they followed some of our family members who were going back and forth to the car to put the center pieces and cake away. They harassed them with flashlights accusing them of drinking alcohol. A very pushy, hispanic woman with a long black ponytail was seemingly peacocking her authority in front of her male security guard colleagues. This venue should seriously consider how they treat their guests who pay a great deal of money to have their special moments celebrated here. Unacceptable. Ill be sure to warn my friends.

Ok, I just wanted to see what people said about this course, so Im checking the reviews... Im thinking 3.9 out 5 isnt bad, BUT if you add all the stars and divided by 7 reviews, your total should be 3.285 (3.3), NOT 3.9!! So bottom line they should be getting 3 stars NOT 4. This makes hell of difference when I have to make a decision, especially a long drive up from OC. There are plenty 3 stars courses out there, but I want to be treated well and have fun at the golf course, so I really dont mind paying a little bit more for that. My mind is set, I need to do some more searching for 4 star courses. By the way I gave this course 2 stars because it should make the correction in equation (3 stars). Also I did played on this course 3 years ago, I thought the courses were nicely maintained but there were a long delays.

Great course, not for a beginner. But if you are out for a challenge, this is it.

Well manicured greens. Multiple courses so play is fluid.

Just like many of other golf courses around, it gets jammed and wish they do a better job to manage those that slow down others. Also some holes are filled with goose dumps.
