They served us drinks, boxes of breakfast and lunch. Provided sun screen, snorkeling gear and some instruction. There were lifeguards and a photographer around during the tour. We saw a lot of fish at molokini crater, dolphins, a whale, and her calf on the way over to turtle town. I enjoyed the trip and was happy with a smaller group. The boat is impressive, large, has two slides a platform for jumping and lots of seating. After COVID-19 they will be back to full capacity Im sure. Wonderful tour.

We did their snorkeling in Molikini and Turtle Town tour and it was fantastic! This was only their 3rd day of operation since their covid closure in March. The staff were all so helpful, friendly and really try to make your experience the best possible. When you’re out on the water there are 2 lifeguards which is very reassuring. They serve a box meal for breakfast and lunch (switch from buffet to box meals due to covid). There are 2 slides on the boat, a bottom glass boat, and they have every floating device possible. It was one of the highlights of our trip and I highly recommend this tour! We saw so many colorful fish at Molikini and also turtles in turtle town! We were also lucky enough to see dolphins and whales!!

We had an amazing experience of snorkeling and for a first timer, i couldnt have asked for a better way! We got to do the turtle town and molokini crater and it was fantastic!For a fee of 10$ they do have snorkel suits.Rest of the snorkel gear is included in the boat fee. The food was decent! They had lot of fruits and veggies and drinks. There was ample space for everyone on the boat. The crew is super friendly and answers all your questions patiently. They are very knowledgeable too! Anne, Ad, Brianna, Capt Adam and team did a great job!If you are feeling sea sick, they do have medicines and Ginger ale available on the boat.We even saw whales after our snorkel trip!

Loved it! The boat was really nice, we sat on the very top deck so we had a good view. The crew was very professional but fun, took care of all of our needs. They were always there to help and provide instruction for snorkeling. Breakfast exceeded my expectations, lots of different things to choose from. We saw whales, a seal, fish and turtles - such a great experience for my family of 4! Would highly recommend this particular boat, Im sure all their tours are fantastic. Thanks Calypso!!!

A great deal for the price. The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. Had a lot of fun going to molokini and turtle town for snorkeling and snuba. The breakfast and lunch provided was really good as well. They do have alcoholic beverages, but those are extra.

Best value for sure! Crews and captain are very friendly, safety oriented. If you have kids or pregnant, don’t worry, they will take care of you. Breakfast is very simple bakeries, and lunch is deli sandwiches (tasty ones). They also take cards for drinks but please bring cash for tips as they sure deserve it! We had the best time on the boat and snorkelling at Molokini and Turtle Town. Saw three turtles and lots of whales on the way. It’s definitely a good experience to try if you are in Maui! Highly recommended!

Fabulous excursion. Captain and crew were very attentive and extremely knowledgable. Very happy to be on a snorkling excursion where safety is a big priority. The crater and turtletown where both excellent sites with slightly different ecosystems and fish. Seeing a giant turtle swim past when you arent even looking for one was a treat as well. As someone whos travelled all over the world and experienced quite a few of these tours, I can confidently say Calypso is THE BEST.Not only is the crew hilarious, encouraging, and amazingly helpful, but the boat itself is fantastic. You can jump or slide into the ocean from the second deck with the crew standing by your side encouraging you, and lifeguards in the water ensuring youre safe. On top of that, the crew tries so hard to make sure that you see everything you can. When we stopped at Turtle Island, lifeguards would hold up rescue tubes where they found turtles so others would know where they are, and at Molokini they would guide you through the reefs, point out tropical fish, and explain the history behind each one. Lastly, the food was amazing and drinks were $2!PS: Kerry (the Captain) was AMAZING, and Spencer (crew) was hilarious and so helpful. As were all of the other staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

These guys were awesome! The boat is nice and big which helped me not get as sea sick as I can get and provides nice cover from the elements if its windy or chilly out. Captain and crew did an absolute excellent job + they have a naturalist who will provide information on the types of fish you see and act as a guide throughout the snorkle. They also have an underwater photographer who will be there capturing a lot of shots of your in the water to purchase if you choose afterward.10/10 would recommend to anyone!

I guess we hit it on an awesome whale watching day. The whales were super active and our captain was awesome with her commentary and keeping us aware of all the different spots they kept popping up. The company is respectful of the whale and stayed about 100 yard away at all times. Get your sea legs and dont miss this opportunity.

Such an awesome Molokini cruise! It was so great to have two stops - a longer one at Molokini first and a second, shorter stop to see sea turtles nearby. It was whale watching season and the crew was great about pointing them out and stopping to let everyone see. There was tons of great information along the way and all of the crew was so nice, friendly, and courteous. The food and drinks were also great with both breakfast and lunch included and generously sized cocktails available for $3 each. We had an amazing time, 10/10 would recommend!

I can not even begin to explain how amazing our experience was. I wish I could give 6 stars. We went to Molokini/Turtle town with my 4 yo and 8yo and they were so accommodating for both. Had this amazing little board for the little guy and he loved seeing the fish. My 8 yo was really scared to get in at first and all the amazing crew really helped to get him comfortable and in the end he loved it. The food was great, drinks were perfect and that crew!!! They were exceptional. We purchased the professional pictures because why not!? They were great! The captain invited my little guys to come in and help get us back to shore, which of course they loved. We seen fish, whales, dolphin, turtles and a seal!We loved it so much that we actually decided to go back for the Whale watching in the afternoon of the same day. The water slides were fun as well.I truly truly can not say enough good things about this company. By the time we got to whale watching we were on a first name basis with them. Can not wait to do it again next time we are out there! Good job!

Just went out on the boat today and had an amazing experience. The staff was top-notch and couldnt have done anything better. The food was good we had plenty of time to snorkel. So tons of great wildlife and the two slides were an extra bonus. Would definitely recommend to anyone

My best catamaran and snorkel experience ever. I have done snorkeling tours in the Caribbean and south Florida but this one is the top of the list. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. We were traveling with our three yo son and and the crew made sure our son was comfortable and very patience with trying out different equipment for him. The 10 stairs to get into the water cuts back on wait time. Very delicious healthy food on board for the trip.

The food is ok,they charge for drinks $2 only. They do charge for everything else though,like wetsuits, snorkeling gear,etc...Photo services are great,its additional$65. The toilets are really smelly,so if you are seated on the first floor,it will be a struggle...

Very nice boat. The crew was attentive and friendly. I would recommend using Calypso for any of the tours they do.We did the Molokini snorkel tour. The breakfast and lunch provided was better than could be expected on a snorkel tour boat. The equipment provided was top notch.We plan on using them for the dinner cruise later in the trip.

We had an awesome time on this boat. I was worried seeing all the people lined up to get on, but theres plenty of room, crew and food to go around. They managed the group really well and one staff member even dove down to retrieve my Apple Watch, texted me the next day and arranged to get it back to me. Really happy with the service here.

The entire crew were absolute professionals. From Capitan down they were there to assist you with anything you needed.

Great sunset cruise! Had beef sliders on the cocktail one, which was good since we were getting hungry looking at the great food those that chose the dinner cruise got. Plan for traffic because the highway backs up at that time.

We hesitated to do the snuba but ended up doing it. Absolutely worth it, amazing experience.The staff is excellent. They are extremely helpful and just happy.

We did their trip to the crater to snorkel. There were wales on the way out and the way back, great food on the way. The boat had a slide that my daughter loved. The boats captain was awesome! He strung two fishing lines on the way back, let a few of the kids including my daughter steer the boat for a min or two on the way back and was attentive to the needs of my not so sea worthy stomach (by telling me to drink a beer :) These guys are the best!

An incredible way to spend a day in Maui. The crew was fantastic from start to finish. They make you feel like youre part of the family. The boat was comfortable and spacious. The food was fantastic. You spend plenty of time in both Molikini and Turtle Town to see ample wildlife. The crew really makes you feel safe and looked after.

Went snorkeling there. great time at some great people. Took some pictures the people were very nice and knowledgeable about snorkeling the guy even took me around to the other slip when I was on the wrong side of the harbor. After the snorkeling which I thought was great I saw some really cool fish got to swim by the rocks and it was pretty clear and nice weather..

Very tremendous experience as it was my first time on an excursion, in Maui, and snorkeling. Very educated staff who are all very eager to help make the experience wonderful. Equiped with fresh juice, breakfast, lunch, and cocktails on your departure back to land. Depending on the day you could see humpback whales, dolphins, sea turtles, tropical fish. If the water is rough in one spot, they have back up plans. Bring plenty of sunblock, water, and a light sweater or rain jacket, and ofcoarse shades or a hat. Very impressed with my experience with, Calypso Molokini snorkeling adventure.

Booked a sunset cruise. Very relaxing and enjoyable, even right before the Tropical Storm Olivia.

Great service. The staff were attentive and constantly offer help and made sure we were comfortable. Felt safe snorkeling with 2-3 staff on boards in the water with us. Not the longest time for water activities but overall there ride was smooth and food and drinks were good and plentiful throughout the trip.

We had an excellent experience. The crew was knowledgeable and helpful getting everyone situated. They provided breakfast as well as a lunch on the way back to the harbor which considering the price as well worth it. Went to both Molokini and turtle town and had a great time. Turtle town was better because of the lively turtles that were out that day but both spots provided a great spot for underwater photos. Would definitely come back for another snorkel session.

I had a great time on Calypso. The crew was friendly and helpful, cheerful and funny. The boat is really well designed to make it easy to get into and out of the water, even if youre a first time snorkelers. And it didnt feel crowded. The only problem I had was with the chicken at lunch. Tasted great but was really awkward to eat. If I go again Ill skip the bun and use lettuce to make wraps.

We thought it might rain but went anyways and it turned out to be one of the best. There was live music. We had a beautiful sunset, a light show from the distant lightning, and, the icing, whales! I live on Maui and this was one of the best boat outings.

Such a great tour! They gave training, prescription goggles, staff was helpful and awesome. Food was actually good food. One lady asked a person staff to help her find an octopus and he spent the whole time helping her find one and they did! Went to molokini Crater and turtle town.

It was most amazing moment of my life.Especially, I have to say Mahalo to Captain and Andy. My wife can not swimming and afraid of deep sea. She had a great experience thanks to the wonderful crew of Calypso.

I threw up because I got seasick. That didnt stop me from having a good time in the water and getting to see the cool marine life of Molokini. Would recommend this small excursion. We were also fed lunch on the way home.

Calypso was awesome! These guys and gals run a tight ship. Crew was informative, helpful and friendly. Snuba was incredible, if youre on the fence just do it, you wont be disappointed. We rented a digital camera from the photo guy (Harold), also well worth it. The pictures I took are great quality and I have a bunch of memories now saved to my phone. Mahalo!

First time snorkeling, everything was wonderful. Triple deck boat, but never had to wait. Crew was fantastic with instructions, friendly and very helpful. Used their underwater camera, and so glad we did. Turtles swam right along with us. Great crew and lots of fun.

It was such a great snorkeling tour!!! We had so much fun. The staff was fun and friendly, naturalist Dave was so knowledgeable :) We so turtles and so many beautiful fish!!! They served pulled pork and shredded chicken which was really good. They have alcoholic drinks for only $2. Overall I definitely recommend them, you wont regret it!!!

The actual boat trip and snorkeling was fun, but we had several bad encounters with the staff. My mom was trying to get in the water at the first snorkel spot but was taking a little bit longer to get in with some anxiety about the deep water. One of the staff members told her to get out of the way if she was hesitant about getting in, instead of welcoming her or encouraging her to come in. And the staff members did not wear name tags or identification, and often it was hard to tell who was an actual staff member because they were not wearing a uniform. The other issue I have with the boat was all of the hidden fees. You could rent a towel, but it will cost you $25. Alcoholic beverages were not included in the tickets, and the advertised snuba will also cost you $45. The food was good though.EDIT: They contacted me and apologized for the staff members and said they will be talking with the crew. I appreciate the customer service they provided from this review.

Was here to grab a boat ride out to Molokini Crater, i didnt get a chance to walk around the shops that were there, however it was fun to watch the crabs and we got to see some green sea turtles swimming in the surf from the retainin wall, andthe views of the bay and the volcanoes at sunrise were actually very beaitiful.

Comfortable way to snorkel cruise. Tony was funny, friendly and extremely helpful. Naturalist Dave knows how to find the coolest things to see, and Ollie takes the greatest photos! Definitely worth the price.

This was the best ocean experience we have had in 3 different countries! The staff is very safety conscious. I am a chicken with ocean tours and I even went down the slide.

The staff is so nice here, but we had a pretty bad experience. They cruise out and everything is fun, but then they stop and let the boat get tossed around by waves for an hour. We never get sea sick and both of us had to lay down. The food was also worse than cafeteria food. I feel bad, because the staff was great, but this was definitely not a fun night.

I absolutely enjoyed the whole experience. I guess theirs is the biggest ship offering snorkeling. Staff was friendly. I absolutely recommend going for snorkeling with them.

Fantastic place for scuba and snorkeling. We got to experience the sea turtles and many different species of fish. The staff was amazing, they provided food for breakfast and lunch. Drink prices were the best in Maui. Highly recommended for a memorable day trip.

Great staff, awesome food and drinks, and very knowledgeable throughout the tour. They also did their best to make stops when there was turtles so that you could snorkel there. Well worth the money!!! Will go again next time we are in Maui!

I had a fantastic time today in the water at both sites. I did the Snuba at the first stop and then just snorkeled at turtle town. I saw tons of turtles and lots of cool fish. The equipment was in good condition and the staff was super friendly. The drinks are cheap as well. I only give it 4 stars because I hate crowds and this boat was packed. I prefer snorkeling with a dozen or less people even if it drives the price up. It was also hard with 8 people doing Snuba to cover a lot of ground in 20 minutes. Still fun and I recommend it.

Took the Calypso out to Molokini and had a great time. The whole crew, especially Mike, were terrific with our kids and everyone. We all had a lot of fun on the slides after snorkeling as well.

Great snorkeling trip. I booked a less expensive trip ~65$pp on another boat but because of the wind, we were upgraded to the larger Calypso ship. It was large and comfortable, nothing special. We went to some crater and there were wasnt a lot of fish, but the water was clear and the crew was very nice and helpful. Lunch was pulled pork and that was fine, but I wouldnt choose a snorkel tour for the food. Idk how much others paid, but we only spent 1 hour tops of actual snorkeling even though it was supposed to be 3 hours. I guess they include all the check-in and travel time as well. Id do it again, but not for more money.

This was a legit tour. Staff awesome and they did everything that they could to make it a great experience. Food was excellent for being served on a boat without a kitchen. Expect to pay extra for wet suit rental if needed. Under water camera rental is 45$ for unlimited pictures and for 110$ total including camera rental, you get all of your pictures and the tours camera man also. Buying one picture is 35$ so for 30$ we got nearly 200 pictures. Also went to turtle town which was awesome. Recommend highly it’s worth the price. Also the google maps directions are not accurate. They will get you close but just look for the Claypso boat and drive around the pier as close to the boat as you can.

Great dinner, super staff, $5.00 drinks. How can you go wrong. The girls were very attentive worth every penny.

We got discounted tickets through Boss Frog for whale watching on the Calypso. The staff were absolutely great I have to say that the view of the whales was AMAZING!! Its so cool, you actually get to see the big fluke (tail) splash through the water. And sometimes you get to see the whales body! The whales are so amazing! I would recommend the Calypso charter to Molokini. There are probably 100+ people on board but it never felt too crowded. Molokini is nice but actually the turtle town stop was probably the highlight.

We did the sunset cruise and really enjoyed it. Awesome staff and boat. We didn’t do the dinner service but all the dinners I saw looked really good.

Great tour! The ship crew was amazing! They led us right to the sea turtles in turtle cove and were vigilant on making sure everyone was safe. The food was also very good! The blueberry muffin was my favorite!

We had a great time snorkeling at Molokini and Turtle Town, although our Turtle Town snorkel got cut short by a Tiger Shark. Crew did a good job of calmly and quickly getting people out of the water. Since we couldnt snorkel anymore at Turtle Town, the trip turned into a whale and dolphin watch. We saw a couple pods of dolphins and got fairly close to a pair of whales, which made up for less snorkeling time. $2 drinks also helped to make up for it. Overall it was a great time.

BEST SNORKLE TRIP I HAVE EVER BEEN ON! I swam with turtles and many beautiful fish as well as had a fun time on the waterslides. The crew is wonderful, especially Ann who taught my mother how to snorkle even though she is EXTREMELY afraid of deep water. The food is perfect after a tiring snorkle session and the views are fantastic. Thank you Calypso!

By far my favorite tour. We did the morning snorkeling tour. The breakfast was above what we expected. Lunch was great. Drinks were tasty. Turtle town was the best weve seen in years. The crew was great (Dave, flawless skin guy and Wiley).

My wife and I absolutely loved the sunset cruise. Musician Steve Sargenti provided beautiful ambience while the boat’s youthful staff pampered us with strong drinks and quite possibly the best ribs I’ve ever eaten.

My boyfriend and his family went on this a couple of weeks ago. The boat was awesome, clean...comfortable. Food was great, people were great. Absolutely enjoyed myself. I do stress to wear water shoes on the boat as its a moist environment and can be slippery. I wish i had thought about this beforehand, but luckily you can be thankful i told you to :)First thing we will be doing again when we come back!

We loved our snorkel trip on calypso. We went to molokini and turtle town. There were a lot of people on the boat, but the crew was very practiced in handling the crowds and I never felt like we were missing out or having to wait long

The crew did a job well done, we felt very much so taken care of while enjoying the information they explained about the ocean and it’s inhabitants. The food and drinks were great and loved the vibes. Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful boat great captain who is very informative, however the crew at the bar and food server are under staffed and grumpy towards guests. Hey I live on Maui and bring guest visiting and watching the crew be so short with the guests is such a bummer.

Huge recommend for all--We ended up taking a last minute snorkeling tour with the Calypso. This was an incredible day and we are stoked we ended up taking this trip. Tony and the Calypso crew were helpful, inviting, funny, and professional. On top of that the food options were also surprisingly good (breakfast, snacks, lunch, and cookies).Easy drive from Lahiana, Wailea, or Paia. Looking forward to heading back out on our next trip here.

The crew were very friendly and helpful. They do Snorkelling101 onboard and make sure you are comfortable in the water. Their boat is the best in Maui with state of the art facilities. This was by far the best experience in our Maui trip.

Email clearly said to check in at 4:30. We stood in the heat for an hour & half didnt begin check in until 6:00. Service was good...food was ok. Beautiful sunset.

Snorkeling trip to the crater just off the shore of the island of Maui very few fish mostly due to the warming of the water around the islands probably due to global warming. I do not suggest spending any money to go on this particular trip I only saw one or two species of fish in the water of the crater.

Its rain but we still enjoyed the trip. Omg the food. The ribs were so hugh. The lobster tails were nice size. All the food was good.

Great crew, dinner was better than most restaurants, cruise was ok, and the entertainment was ok but we really enjoyed ourselves because the crew goes out of its way to help you enjoy yourself.

The snorkeling experience was good, but the photographer ripped off our group. We paid for the photos on the spot to get them sent later by email, but we never got any of the pictures. We texted him but he simply stopped responding after a while. If you go with calypso, do not give any money to get your pictures taken underwater!Edit: the photographer ended up delivering the photos after contacting customer service from the booking agency.

It was okay. Everyone was really nice but for the price I would have liked real butter for the lobster and not oil.

Great way to get a first snorkel experience in Maui. Go as early in the morning as possible. They serve breakfast and lunch. Lots of families.. about 150 people on the boat. The captain was funny.

Nice big boat and they work to make it fun. It was rough that day so we couldnt snorkel at Molokini. Its really a gamble with a 24 hr cancellation policy but we had fun at the alternate place. Food was great too.
