Popcorn we had tonight tasted like it was cooked 5-6 hours ago not warm not hot but cold, butter machine didn’t work, seats looked like they just brushed them off there is sticky stains in seats and the cup holders. Definitely not clean or lazy people working today. Not impressed. You would think with covid and how much business they do not have they would try and wow you but that wasn’t the case today.

I go here all the time for my movies. Not so much because of covid but they have recently opened back up with limited shows and seating to help practice social distancing. I wish they had more signature seating with the recliner chairs. Theaters are clean and comfortable and they have good customer service with a variety of food options. The food options may have changed due to covid though Im not sure.

Very nice....its a shame that people still wont go to the movies... unfortunately...this has been my 2nd time in a theater with under 10 people and theres one disrupting individual presentWow....Im guessing these idiots never get it and shut the hell upOh well.... otherwise..great time

My son and I went to see Glass this morning. We are visiting from out of town. The theater appeared to be really clean. The staff from the front booth ticket clerk to our ticket taker to the concession clerk, were so friendly and professional. The restrooms were clean. Now the seats in the theater itself were stained and need a good cleaning, so do the cup holders connected to the armrest. They were filthy.

This was our first time going to a Dolby cinema. The screen was bright and larger than expected. Sound system is great, you feel the seats move when large, rumbling sounds are heard. With a movie like Tenet it was almost like a concert it was so loud.

Best movie theater in VA Beach by far. They almost always nail the quality of the projection and the balance of the sound system (the whole reason you go to the theater). Staff is nice and they do a great job cleaning and providing sanitizing wipes throughout. With A-list I never have a reason to go to any other theater.

The movie started 13 minutes late with 20 minutes of previews. It didnt actually start till well over half an hour after the set time. Also, I got a large popcorn and drink asking if they do refills and was told yes. But by the time the movie started I wanted to refresh them and the concession was closed. They had popcorn but wouldnt refills, and had turned off the soda machines. Was just not a good movie experience for the family.

Great movie theater and such classy staff. Police patrol is a bit over pretentious but that has nothing to do with AMC.

Theater was nice and clean, Socially distanced....a much welcomed outing. My only complaint is that concessions refused to take any cash! This notice is not posted on the website nor is it posted in the theater....i stood in line 15 minutes to be told this at the cashier.

Dolby digital theater is amazing and reserved seats are perfect for COVID. Fair warning, its sometimes hard to hear voices through the deep bass.

First day back since the shut down and im super excited. Smaller crowds will probably make for a better more personal movie experience. Just remember to sit 6 feet away from me is all i ask

Good Theater, Reasonable Ticket Prices, Costly Concessions.The theater is quite comfortable and has plenty of amenities while you wait for your movie. Some examples are games for your kids and a bar for your adult kids.Their concession stands are fully loaded too. You can essentially get a full meal here for the movie, but expect to pay a premium for it. They even have a pretzel as big as a steering wheel, if youre into that kind of thing.All of their theaters have wonderful sound and the screens are well taken care of. While I was there last they were preparing to replace the one I was viewing and it didnt look bad at all. Also, the theater was very clean. I brought my kids and we will be back for certain.

The surround sound envelopes you. You feel it in your soul!

This is one of my favorite spots to come for movies. Ive always had good experiences here. They do give a military discount upon showing your military ID in the evenings only. Thanks do have discounted matinee showings every day, and run discount showings all day on Tuesdays. I would say most of the time it is clean, but sometimes they do have their bad days of bad organization when a popular showing happens or popcorn on the floor. But, that doesnt really detour me from coming here as often as I do because most theaters I have been to have this problem during popular times.

Easily the best theater in Hampton Roads, and it’s not even close.The Dolby Theater has by far the best sound system of any theater. Worth every penny if it’s an action movie; might be a waste to spend the extra for a movie without an intense soundtrack.Don’t buy into the 4D gimmick.

The staff here are super friendly. The reserved line for AMC Stubs members makes getting snacks a breeze! The price of the food and drinks was fair - ther popcorn was hot and fresh, the sodas cold. They have a bar that served alcoholic beverages if you want to partake during your movie. Theres reserved seating, which works great if everyone in your party knows how to use them (else you can end up with your party seated all over).

The AMC at Lynnhaven Mall is fantastic. We love the popcorn, drinks, and snacks. The butter dispenser is the best! We love the video games in the lobby too. The theatre seats are comfortable and have the all Important large cup holders.

This is by far one of the more comfortable places to sit and watch a movie. The 4K is much better than places (like at the ocean front) that claim to have 4K and the sound quality is much better. Now if the only delivered food while you are seated as the opening credits roll then it would be perfect.

Good service during covid

I’ve been coming here since I was a child and I’m now 36 years old! This place is clean (no sticky floors or popcorn on the floor). It’s safe and well lighted at night! The staff is courteous and friendly! Lastly, there is an alcohol bar near the concession stands!!!

The upgrades have been remarkable. I love that they have a theater for little kids where they leave the lights on and they dont turn on the surround sound. I have a kid sensitive to sound and we can finally enjoy going to movies. Thank you Lynnhaven!

Haven been to this theater or the mall in several years. Had a great visit. Got checked in quickly and good a wonderful bag of popcorn. Everyone was professional and kind. Theater is clean and well maintained. Well make sure to come back.

Was a date night so not my money...but if Im spend $50 at a theater Im expect $50 service....not popcorn, chicken fingers, and 2 drinks...why are drinks $5+ and old popcorn same price as some good chicken fingers (asked for 2 he rang me up for 1)?...next time matinee and eat before we come or just fire stick and he pay for what I cook lol. Just been so long since been to a movie didnt know $ piked so high. Movie play was good..still a nice theater

Im glad there is still a large theater left open in our area but their volume is always too loud.

I lost my phone in theater 14 and the young lady who worked there was extremely helpful in assisting me to locate it. Thanks to the honesty of an unknown person who turned it in to customer service. it goes to prove that there are good honest people in the world. THANKS

Great theatre I was expecting the nice recliner leather seats, but that’s not what we got:( but the theatre was clean and the workers were very polite!! Five stars because of the nice layout and outstanding customer service!

Havent been to one in a while i like the better food options better than Regal cinemas. 4 stars for the cinnamon pretzel bites no kind of taste other than the cinnamon sugar throw a little salt in the mix at least. Spicy chicken tacos was actually good especially with the ranch sauce.

This was an awesome theater... I just do not know what has happened. Maybe its just the quality of the people going there... Constantly, they talk to the screen... Why? It ruins the movie

What can you say? Movie theater is good. I will never, ever, buy another thing at the concession stand. OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE. Streaming at home is the future

Wayyyyyyyyy better than Regal. Honestly I love that they have the Coke machines where you can choose ANY drink you want vs. just a coke or sprite. For the amount of traffic, its pretty clean, just the usual sticky counters and floors around the soda fountains. Beautiful new Dolby theater. The regular theaters are nice too but the seats always feel damp and are starting to look a little worn and dirty.

The movie was great. The sound didnt really have any bass, sounded weak. Prices have gotten out of control. Medium popcorn medium drink and pretzel $30. Ridiculous.

If I could 0 stars I would. I went to the cashier and asked for a 7:10 movie. She gave me the movie ticket and when it was time to go we walked into the movie and we only caught the VERY END of the movie. When I went to look back at the ticket it said 5:50. I SPECIALLY ASKED FOR A 7:10 MOVIE. The workers here obviously don’t listen to a thing the customers said. When we walked in the man who we give our tickets to said we couldn’t bring our food in even though my plate was basically gone. I don’t understand how you are right across from a food court and want us to walk all the way to our car just to walk back and give y’all more money for basically the same stuff. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THE THEATER. THSY WILL NOF GET MY SERVICE.

Clean everywhere. Restrooms, lobby, theater all very clean. Easy to access from the parking lot. Well lit. The movie was great too. The 30th anniversary of Christmas Vacation. It was great on the big screen.

Came to see the 9:10p viewing of bad boys (great movie) HOWEVER The theater was filthy popcorn all over my seat! I noticed walking to my seat that none of the seats or areas were cleaned. Even outside where you put trash on the way out was over filled and all over the floors. I heard a pregnant woman and her husband discussing how they could not sit in there seat due to the mess they say in a different seat but had to move when the people who paid for those seats came. The couple next to my husband and I had to move a whole popcorn bucket and drink. We all had to clean our own seats before we could even sit. We paid too much to have to deal with this!

Went to see ant man and wasp- polite service. We didnt get food though. I love the scenery, i love by greenbrier 13 and i simply prefer to go anywhere else but i love lynnhaven amc 18 best

Great movie theater with decent staff. They always have special events going on. Just recently I got to see “The Matrix” in their impressive Dolby theater. The malls food court is right across from the theater also if you need a quick bite before the show.

By far, one of the nicer theaters around but only rated 4 because Ive never seen the concession area totally clean.

Huge theater with bar and food. Location is great right next to the mall. I went to a late show about 5 people in the theater i really enjoyed the movie. No assigned seats.

The movie was great. The theater was so so. Had to reserve seats even though only 11 seats were occupied. The actual seats are showing their age and are not near the comfort of the recliner seats. Although ticket price was same as better seating theaters. Probably would pick somewhere else next time.

Movie theater is nice. My only issue is the ticketing location. Where you purchase your tickets is located outside. We normally visit the area during the christmas season so its always cold and standing in line outside is a task Im just not into. They do have about 6 ticket machines but them being on/ working is not consistent. Once youre actually in the theater its lovely. They even have a bar section in the lobby

Nice theater. Seats are just ok. Lobby and restrooms were filthy. Popcorn was everywhere. It is a Saturday night and it was busy but most theaters are. I have been going there for many years and have never seen the theater this big of a mess.

4.5 AMC theaters has a better menu, The self-serve Coke Machine and add your own butter on your popcorn. The seating is very comfortable and allow for plenty of legroom. Overall very pleasant experience. #KnivesOut

I just saw The Joker and although the picture quality and sound were top notch, the theater itself needs a deep cleaning. My feet stuck to the floor and the cup holders needed some bleach and a q-tip. Part of my seat was missing a huge section of cushion. If the Greyhound bus station had a line of movie theaters, theyd be cleaner than AMC Lynnhaven.

The Theater was immaculate and comfortable. They had a great variety of food and beverages. I enjoyed delicious chicken sliders and mini tacos which O washed down with a nice cold lager from the bar.

Frankie was very friendly as we chatted. He effortlessly helped me with recommendations on dinner after the movie. The restaurant he suggested was perfect and my girlfriend was impressed. Very smart guy. AMC has some good employees.

Its not amazing but its not terrible. The staff are friendly but even when its slow, youre waiting in line 15 to 30 minutes to get the tickets then the snacks. Some of the drink machines are always out of service. The bathrooms are usually really clean.

The sound system is good, seats are very comfortable, but the number of automatic machine should increase. I had to take too long in line to get into the theater.

Maya the bartender was better than any bartender in NYC!!! Kind, awesome, fantastic, and didnt miss a beat...she is a truly fantastic employee!!! .made our girls trip to the movies amazing!!!!

My experience was good. I ordered a regular popcorn and large fountain drink.The seating was adequate however I was expecting reclining seats like regal cinemas have. These seats did not recline. Over time they became uncomfortable.

The reserved seating seemed really cool at first, but Ive found it actually sucks for a packed theater because people dont follow it.There were two times out of literally three that we went here and our seats were taken. One was a big, super intimidating dude. The other was a giant gaggle of a dozen children in an already full theater which would cause a headache, so we ended up finding seats online that hadnt been bought and sat there, which is sorta stressful.Wasnt asked to move, but it was so annoying because I would see other people whisper to people in their seats to move, which set off a long chain reaction of people then going to their intended seats and asking them to move, too. Musical chairs would be going on during the beginning of the movie, which is supposed to set the tone of the film. Very distracting.The rest of the theater was fine, but the poorly-managed reserved seating situation stood out the most to me. I dont want to find an usher. Id rather just pick a seat and chill. Ill stick to my normal theater.

Only way to see movies is with AMC Dolby Cinema. Sound and picture is amazing! Chairs also rumble and recline! Heres a tip, sit in the middle of the theatre, in the middle seats! Best. Sound. Ever!

Nice location. Theater rooms seem plenty nice enough. If you want to make your movie on time and get anything from concessions go half a day early. The concessions area is AS grossly disinterested in service as the 10,000 percent mark up on the popcorn. I actually gave a manager who finally appeared to help fix the “frozen” screen on the cash register 20 dollars for my 17 dollar total. I simply said I would gladly forfeit the extra 3 dollars to be done with the LINE. PATHETIC!!!!!

Seats were comfortable. Popcorn was tasty, if a tad salty. The soda machines had a good variety of sodas. All in all, a good time!

Double booked our tickets, drove 35 miles to sit in Dolby upgraded seats. Ended up sitting on side of a regular theater. They did refund original portion of our tickets but was hoping to see last Star Wars movie in theater I chose. Advice is get there early you might beat people who have same seats.

I stopped in today to see a movie with my husband and daughter. I like coming here even though its a bit out of my way. The theater is spacious and clean. I wish the prices were lower, but we go to matinees and avoid the concession stand.

I love this particular AMC theater and have been going here for years. However, the customer service, cleanliness, and quality has decreased drastically. The cashier gave us a fit about applying discounts, and acted as though she hated her job. The floors are always dirty, no one comes by to sweep every now and then as they used to. And the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. The theater experience itself is spot on though!

We come here twice a year from Philly. The staff are very nice and very helpful.

There are very few places I like. Of all the theaters in the area this is the best one. Applause I love talking not so much. This has the applause. One thing wrong you had one snack bar staff that was a little stiff on attitude. I am a person that fully believes in if dont like your job change it. Dont be a waste to your team.

We stopped coming here because the seats were super gross but when we came over the Thanksgiving weekend with family from out of town, I noticed that the seats in the theatre we were in were clean and fresh! I love this theatre, and I’m glad we can come here again :)

A little more expensive than other theaters but they are clean and comfortable

The movie was very nice and the theater itself was clean and good quality. However the concessions was very disappointing. The theater was not overly busy but I still stood in line for 30 mins to wait to be able to order. The female who took my order was very rude and it was obvious she didnt want to be there. Once I received my food I attempted to get sauce for my fries. None of the sauces had anything in them. I tried every single one. The concession area was very dirty and everything was ticky. They only had 2 or 3 people working the entire area. My food didnt taste very fresh and I will probably be going back to the strawbridge theater instead.

The theater (IMAX) was clean. my 1 issue was the popcorn was old and the bottom of the barrel. As we walked away they were making some fresh popcorn. We shouldve asked for ours to be switched out.

I love the new Dolby Cinema. The blackout painting, reclining seats, and high def screen are great. They also have transducers in the seats to rumble you with loud noises. It’s perfect for action movies. I love that the seats are in pairs and that the middle arm rest can be moved out of the way. It let my husband and I snuggle a little while watching a movie.

Normally pretty clean warner brothers normally has a good amount of previews here which is convenient.

If you have a AMC pass, the staff will tell you that they are no good due to fraudulent activityI did take a picture of my pass that was rejected and emailed it to AMC and got a replacement.The theater is very nice, but why reserved seating? Also, $15 for a small popcorn and small drink?

Just came from seeing It with my family and friends... The Dolby Atmos theater WAS AMAZING!! Aside from a great show, the sound literally I could feel!

Staff was rude, I once watched an employee throw a bag of popcorn out of frustration of the customers waiting in line, the employees seen very uninterested in working there and are very rude. During one of the movies it seems there was a discoloration on the screen during the movie, there are other movie places around VB that you will have a better experience at, the only convenience this one suits is that its close to the mall.

Nice theater but sometimes the employees seem a little dense. Frank was helpful when the butter gauntlet was empty, appreciate his quickness to help a customer. Good kid.

Great movie theater but line to get food was WAY to long...

Theatre is old, outdated and gross. Bar is tiny and named by one staff member. Food takes forever to come out. No reclining seats and you feel like youre sitting on your neighbors. Avoid this theatre!

I go here for all my favorite movies coming out.

The theater itself is nice and convenient inside the mall, but not a fan of their seating system.

Went with my husband and our youngest child to see Avengers End Game. Two things in my experience that made this a five star experience for me; the movie and the fact that I was watching it with so many other geeks, especially my son and hubby. Otherwise, theyd get a three star, maybe a three and a half. Clean up the popcorn and drink spills and straighten up the restrooms. Pretty good experience though.
