Courses where in decent shape. Good layout, rough was a little sticky. Pro shop associate was not the friendliest though. Scenery was not much to look at. Everything seemed a little disorganized.

Visiting for the week. Staff friendly throughout the community and at pro shop. The surrounding area is green, luscious, clean and well taken care of throughout the property.

Nice course. Fun to play. The pro shop employee has one of the worst attitudes I have come across at any golf course. The starter just slightly better than him. Unfortunate that these people represent a nice course.

Still the gold standard in the Venice area (imo). Truest greens, good pace of play and no rangers bringing down the fun. Best practice range, balls included in round - the way it should be. And the staff are polished and professional, not stuffy. I visit twice a year from Michigan, and I always play this course. Pelican Pointe knows how to put the customer first.

High-quality brunch buffet in Pelican Pointe golf club in Venice, FL. Homemade waffles, made-to-order omelettes, eggs Benedict, crispy bacon, breakfast potatoes, carved beef, cold salads (including excellent Greek orzo pasta salad, smoked salmon with cream cheese, traditional salad bar), and home-baked desserts, including bread pudding and assorted others. Space and decorations are very Christmasy, very nice.

Played today 7-12. Great time, course is in great shape. Grounds are soft fro the recent rains. Greens smooth, but not fast. Greens are holding most approach shots. Will be back.

Went to a group party here. The place was beautiful. The grounds and homes are absolutely beautiful.

Great experience. I had my retirement ceremony here a few months back and was happy with all aspects. Courteous staff, plenty of room for family and friends, delicious catering. We gave them an estimate of the amount of people and they prepared for us and counted the actual number of people and the bill while we were there making keeping track of that easy for us. I would recommend for anyone needing a venue. Thank you for making my day special!

Great course! Fairways were nice and greens rolled true. The tee boxes were also nice as well. Played the Preserve and Habit Creek. Will be back to play the meadows next time. All around great course.

I showed villas there today. Its a very nice subdivision. Gated & Deed Restricted. My clients like the central location...and the fact thats its close to town. There are no CDD fees here and you do not have to pay for membership to the golf club. Its a popular community. There are single family homes and attached villas. Villas start around $239. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Had a great time, scored good as long as I kept the ball in the fairways. I have played this course 3 or 4 times now and never a complaint from me. Anyone that plays this course should have a great time with some challenges. Thank you Pelican Pointe for a great day of golf. Dorman B

Wow, what an awesome Mothers Day selection they had. They really have a wonderful chef, the selection is vegan to meat lover, and everything is flavorful and unique.

Beatification is best word for this place visit is a must or just move in!

We had the Thanksgiving buffet and it was great. The staff was friendly, though they seemed to be a bit short handed. One thing that I felt was a bit misleading: the buffet is not just $34.95 per person. They add a service charge onto the bill at the end, which is different from the tip. After all was said and done for a party of 6, it came out to be about $50 per person...and that is not including the tip. The food was excellent, so we didnt mind paying that much, it would have just been nice to know that ahead of time, thats all.

Even though it has been very dry in southern Florida, the course was in great condition. There wasnt any part of the golf course ( except the ponds)that was as any worse for wear. Even though it has been so brutally dry.

A very unique and challenging course. Lots of water although you have many fairways that are wide open to land. Dense foliage throughout the course with many cart paths that have winding bent trees that you drive through. Extremely well manicured course from tee boxs to greens. Very fair rolling greens. Great course with superb staff. Well maintained with consistent traps and greens. Very challenging and if you spray the ball, it could get frustrating. If you are over a 15 handicap, play the green tees. Great course for women as the forward tees make it enjoyable for women.

Not a friendly club, if not a member. They will be happy to take your money, if not a member. They are waiting at your car for tip money, Then you can wait in line of no less than 5-6 carts per hole to play. The fees go up monthly for the snowbirds...Be prepared for extremely slow play, as well...

Popis is a favorite neighborhood breakfast spot. Generous portions with wonderful service!
