Booked my kids to do the youth program in March for the April thru June session at Clark County Indoor whom they partnered with. Covid-19 then occured and they cancelled the kids programs. I emailed them about the refund or credit procedures for months with no answer. They eventually got back and said they would credit me for future classes and not refund my credit card. The problem is I live near Clark County Indoor and not near Salmon Creek and they said they arent doing kids programs through Clark County Indoor anymore. Because of that, I called multiple times to ask them to refund my credit card and never received an answer. In fact today I was told by someone there that the owner balked at my idea of a refund even though a refund made sense based on my circumstances where I would in no way be able to use the credit. They have been holding over $400 of my money since March 2020 for both my daughters classes and refuse to refund it or return my calls. All I get is the runaround.Update: they refunded me credit card as of today, 10/16.
The actual venue is great. Two indoor arenas. However, the customer service need major improvement. Their tournament and indoor organization is not the best. Horrible scheduling, the refs are very bias and talk back to those are not regular to the facilities. I was super excited for this OurGanda tournament. I wont be coming back. And we wait for 20min to find out we were done with the tournament.
The office staff are always accommodating, this isnt one of those places that you have to jump through 8 hoops when you want to stop auto pay.The coaches are great too, my daughter wasnt really interested in playing but Coach Benji won her over quickly and now she looks forward to it every week. Its just fun soccer exercise for the kids, no pressure, learning the basics and everyone wins.
I used to come here often.Ever since the pandemic I havent been naturally.I was playing Pokemon go with my friend and some guy started screaming at us to leave. We explained were just doing a raid.I will never come back after they open.Honestly after this I hope they go out of business.
Was minding my own business playing pokemon go with a couple friends, and some guy freaks out on us.We tried to explain were just pokemoning. He said go very rudely.
Came here for the first time for Open Play tonight, and although I was the oldest one playing I had a good experience. After overhearing me talking about a terrible experience I had a different indoor place recently the employee working tonight (11-15-19) was super helpful and friendly. Serious top notch customer service. He was great, give him a raise.
Just had another great customer service experience at salmon creek! Would recommend this facility as my #1 every time.
My son is signed up for Strikers, which is theoretically a learning league for beginner level players. The description says that the coach may stop the game at some point to run drills, to teach the kids basics.I know next to nothing about soccer, and was excited about the opportunity for my son to learn about the sport in a semi-organized setting. If thats what youre looking for, dont sign up here. My sons team literally lost a game last week twenty to nothing. The coaches are lazy, they barely talk to the kids, let alone move around the field. They didnt stop the game once, even though it was painfully obvious that this wasnt the introduction to soccer level we had expected. I approached the coach after the beating, and asked him about what benefit that was to any of the kids involved? He told me that nobody had ever told him it was a learning league. Hed never heard that he could stop a game for drills.Fast forward to this weekend, and the same two teams are playing. The beating is just the same, they still havent stopped a single game for drills, and this time, one of the coaches didnt even show up.Lazy.
If you are over 30 and have never played soccer this isnt the greatest place, Im having fun my team is pretty nice but they match you with players who obviously have been playing all there lives and take it much to seriously then feel awesome about beating a 34 year women who has little experience. If was more evenly matched and the grown men didnt act like its a World Cup it would be a lot of fun, but again if you are new to the sport and over 30 the people that play here are not very friendly or very good sports. I would not ask anyone I know with no experience to play here.
This was the most mismanaged holiday tournament I have ever played.
The fields are nice at Salmon Creek Indoor. The prices are high for teams, but not bad for open play options during the week and the weekends. The kids programs are pretty good here, too.Nice that the facility has good training partners like Uptown Sports Medicine.
My son is 4 years old and had played since he was 2. At first I felt discourage that his coach seemed to change frequently to another person but this year weve had one coach, coach Sawyer, and hes awesome! My son loves it and his coach is really great with all the kids and very interactive.
The actual arena is great. My son plays soccer there and has a blast. However, as a parent.... the scheduling is a hassle the bleachers are always filthy and I dont dare go into the bathroom. Also, parking is ridiculous and about 2 weeks ago, my car got smashed in the parking lot. I asked about the cameras as I would like to press charges. Of course, I did not get a call back. Not sure the cameras actually even work. Super bummed that they care that little about their patrons.
Take my kids every Saturday and they love it! The kids program is structured very well. Along with great young coachs who enjoy the kids. Only reason 4 stars and not 5 is.... Bathrooms are dirty, nasty. finally have baby changing tables in womens and mens restrooms. Didnt have any for years...
My daughter loves the Lil Kickers program. I only wish the people at the front desk were friendlier. They always seem stressed and rushed.
We started taking my 7yo boy and 9yo girl this summer to one of their daily soccer camps. My son told me some of the kids were pushing him and playing really rough. I decided to stay and watch to see what he was talking about. I had the chance to see two older boys begin picking on him away from the ball. Pushing him down and calling him names. I stepped in and removed him immediately. I asked the coach why he would allow that type of behavior and he said there were too many kids for him to pay attention to. I would have just pulled the kids out, but they really liked going as long as they were getting to play. I asked to speak with the manager and found out the Manger and owner were both on vacation. The assistant manager spoke with me and explained that there were supposed to be 7-8 kids/coach (that morning it was 17kids/coach) and that the kids were supposed to be split by age (The group had a little 5yo girl with a 12yo boy - an injury just waiting to happen). The assistant told me the things I was concerned about concerned him too and explained that he would have the owner call me immediately to discuss - I left my card. That was two weeks ago and no word from the anyone. Im sure the owner will go on here and contest the things Ive said, but since he refused to call me back he obviously doesnt care.My impression - a place to drop your kids off where at best, they will get little soccer instruction in a group setting with too many kids. At worst, they will get picked on and injured by older kids since the owner would rather run a bad daycare than a soccer facility.
Nice facility. Good employees. Need to groom the field more often.
Pretty nice in here. Plenty of parking. Fields are in pretty good shape, although Im still trying to figure out what shoes to wear on the stuff. It is artificial turf with the rubber, but not long enough for cleats (I dont even know if they allow them).
Great for indoor soccer. Good programs for introducing young kids to the sport
Great facility. Had questions that I thought basic; time of open play, womens leagues, costs. Manager was needed to answer.
Nice lawn love this place. The music they play though is another story.
Great Fields been playing here for over 10 years we really enjoy it
Great place for indoor soccer, if you have a big group, isnt too expensive to man your own team!!!
Two large indoor soccer field. Lots of seating. Kids programs are great.
Great facility and staff! Everyone is friendly and willing to make our experience enjoyable. Thank you!
Nice, clean facility. Wish they had more diverse class offerings for tweens/teens
Great facility and staff. Drop in games on the weekends are great.
The facility is top notch when it comes to the fields, clean bathroom, good water fountain, etc. However, be prepared for bad refs. Getting punched is a common issue in the B league. Ive seen 2 different refs let this go with no card, etc. in the past 4 weeks. I reported it to the front desk and they listened well but did nothing to the player that hit me. Everyone on both teams saw the haymaker. I know the league needs revenue because teams have left for whatever reason lately, which is probably why accountability is lacking. This upcoming week I play 2 games with the same team to cover this lack of teams. My team was already considering switching to the 164th indoor facility and my vote is to check out that option for a season or two.
Been playing here for years and it seems that every 6 months or so the Refs get a little bit worse and a little bit worse. Last week our Ref decided that he was going to flirt with the desk girl during the middle of our game and missed multiple calls but also a Goal! If things continue getting worse our team is going to convert to outdoor and pray for better officials.
Clean and safe environment for indoor soccer. Staff is very nice and helpful.
Its bigger that it looks. Friendly staff and mini store inside. Very convenient
Great place for indoor soccer. Kids and adults can play.
Fields need a bit of TLC, but overall a great indoor facility.
Indoor soccer game. Great experience and nice fields
Salmon Creek Indoor VS Clark County Indoor: I play at both facilities, two totally different experiences. Salmon Creek offers 2 cushier turf fields, which slows down the game play. While Clark County has a hard, fast game field...I just scraped my knee up here last night...its not a skin friendly field, be prepared for a lot of rug burns, if you fall down. (make sure you clean it well, as it is NOT a very clean field)....I find that people you play against are pretty friendly, except a select few...which is the same at Clark County. The refs at both places are pretty good and pretty friendly. Hand balls are not called as commonly at either place, as they once were. There is a LOT more pushing, elbows, and hip checking going on at Salmon Creek, than at Clark County. There are some guys at both places that act like they are performing for a Scout or are playing to win a trophy....its for fun people, play as such. (eye roll). I have been playing coed indoor soccer for 20 yrs, I dont have any taught skills, I just learn as I play with people that are waaayyyy better than I am. I find that being a novice player, compared to those that eat, breathe and sleep soccer, that I can play out there with minimal conflict between myself and those I play against...and they are pretty tolerant of my lack of soccer skills, which makes it fun. This is the same for both arenas. One difference that I like better at Clark County, is the time frame in which the team fees are due. At Salmon Creek, ALL fees are due by the second weeks game, by midnight. While at Clark County, you have up until the 4th weeks game by midnight. Personally, I cant pay all my fees in two weeks for a team I play with on Tuesday, as I do not get paid til Friday, which makes it impossible to pay on Tuesday. But when talking to the guys in the office at Salmon Creek, they try to work with your team, so that you dont get the late fees....as long as you are mostly paid up on your fees. And I believe that if the team gets a late fee because dues arent paid, the late fee should go to the people that have NOT paid yet...not fair to other players that have already paid...not sure this is a problem that the arena can solve, but team captains need to think about this scenario, a little more closely. I believe that Salmon Creek has air conditioning, but I dont really feel it. Be prepared to possibly pass out from heat exhaustion when playing at Clark County in the summer time, like when the weather is in the 90s, as it feels like its in the 100s indoors, they dont always open the doors and even when they do, there isnt much airflow in there. (I always bring a cooler full of icey water and hand towels, to offer to my team and opposing teams, to place on our heads and necks to cool down, in these circumstances). Clark County also plays music overhead, while you are playing soccer, although sometimes, I cant really say that the station that was selected by the person in the office, is really justified as music....or on the other hand, sometimes its love songs....doesnt really get a person up and running. I could have sworn that Salmon Creek played music overhead during play time, but I dont remember it happening so much recently. Clark County has a small section of old school arcade games to keep kids preoccupied while parents play, not much for kids to do but sit and watch the games at Salmon Creek. My kids prefer to go to Clark County, because there is more for them to do there, while I play. The reason they prefer Clark County, is the fact that they sell suckers and candy necklaces in the office. Salmon Creek has a juice bar/healthy snack bar...havent really went over there to find out what they offer....I am mainly there just to play, hang out with friends after the games, watch the next game while I rest from playing my game and then head out the door. Staff at Salmon Creek are very friendly, while the office is mostly run by young people, they are still very respectful and helpful. The same is for Clark County. Keep up the good work.
Poor staff, bad on fees, and horrible on service and scheduling. Sad its one of the only places in Vancouver,
