North Woodmere Park

Fun place, 3 different playgrounds for kids different ages. Pool in summer. Baseball fields.

Its a Wonderful Park to go for a walk or with your family in the summer time they have pools its very convenient as parking

Lots of play areas, fun water play area when fully working on the weekend. Pool for residents, nice lake with relaxing seating along the walk way. Kids enjoyed

Just a wonderful Nassau County Park located in the wetland area of North Woodmere. We went to go swimming. There was a wide variety of outdoor swimmming opportunites for all ages and competences. They had a 4 pool for kids, kiddie pool, walking lap lanes, lap lanes, diving areas, covered areas with chaise lounges and chairs in pool area. The suuronding park had tennis courts, picnic areas with and without barbque grills. The view of the surrounding wetlands, water fowl, and airplanes coming in for landing at JFK were terrific. Abundant parking, the staff were friendly to include the many lifeguards.

Stay away from this pool. It runs like any other government office. Management has no respect for residents and if you try to complain the manger won’t give you her name or present an ID. They only take cash, claiming COVID, thus illegally forcing you to use CC.

Not my first not second choice for a 9 hole. Turf was rough, some sitting water, not much to look at compared to some of the other par 3s throughout the island.

This park is AMAZING! The view of the lake is gorgeous. This park also has a beautiful walkway, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, tennis courts, handball courts, bbq areas, golf and golf driving areas, playgrounds for the kids and lots of open fields. Last but not least, an immense pool with two springboards, lane swimming, a water slide, a kiddie pool and an immense main pool. Unfortunately, it is for residents of Woodmere. As of 6/30/2020, it is closed due to COVID-19. But I passed by yesterday and all the pools were filled and look ready to go, the question is, WHEN.

Park clean with several things for kids to do, great relaxing view of the water and if you are a nassau resident a nice pool to enjoy. Oh and lets not forget tennis courts.

Great park..clean and friendly..sprinklers were open today..sign is there telling everyone wear ..wash and still practice social distance..

Nice park to have a party for kids

Plane spotters paradise.This park is located at the end of 22L runway providing a great spot for plane spotting. With sun behind your back, this location is perfect for spotting from morning to noon. A decent zoom lens should be enough.If possible go there early, not sure if there is a fee.During summer months, do bring bug spray as you will be standing close to water. There are park benches but limited. Bathrooms are there, but it was closed.

Nice park, go biking there with my kids, plenty of parking and a nice playground.

Very good place to do some planespotting at JFK when the runway in use is 22L/R.

Nice park friendly and spacious with plenty to do. If not a resident be prepared to pay to use the pools $30 plus

Very nice. My 5 yr old grands had a great time. Took them 2 pool and playground. Didnt realize the playground had a sprinkler which would hav sufficed in lieu of pool; neither can swim. Great place 4 adults too. Go 2 website 2 c all amenities.

Quite and nice for a walk around the lake!!!

Its a decent 9 hole course to practice your game. Fairly flat which makes it easy to walk. Doesnt tend to be too crowded most of the time. The course is in okay shape. Greens and decent. Tee boxes need work. Biggest issue are the mosquitoes. They are bad. They dont seem to be bothered by many of the typical repellents.

It was nice and quiet early in the morning.

Nice park. They just have ALOT of restrictions for the pool.Your child is not allowed to wear a life vest. Crazy!!but theyve had a few rough previous experiences which has caused them to make that decision, still, CRAZY rule.Great staff, very courteous. Overall, my boys had a great time.

Very pretty, quiet, romantic park. Fun baseball games take place here in weeknights, usually with students from local schools. Close-up views of planes taking off and landing at JFK. Nice place to visit and a short drive from the action of the Five Towns.

Great course to practice your golf game. Keep it in that perspective

Clean park. Not crowded on Sundays. Lots to do. For kids of all ages. Golf course right next door as well. Swimming pool, basketcall court, tennis court, etc...nice!

This park is nice. Theres a pool too. Just dont go if theres a chance of thunderstorm because they do kick you out for safety

Great courselots of geese around though so watch out you might hit one with a ball..the people who run it are wonderful to deal with-never gave me any problemsVery professionalThe patrons also very friendly. Being only an average golfer no one would get upset if I left a ball at another hole by accident . Really fine gentlemen.Kid friendly in my opinion .I think they might allow pets also although I’m not totally sure- didn’t notice any signs otherwise.Thanks for good times!

Absolutely very safe and a very comfortable place to BBQ, picnic,relax and much more.

Great spot, great service. Been playing tennis here all summer. Rates are really reasonable, especially if you get the Nasseau County Resident card.Also a nice spot for a summer picnic. Can enjoy the water nearby and watch the planes fly in and out.

Staff is great they work hard and take pride. The park itself is beautiful and is an awesome place for bbqs, picnics, walks and or even just to hang out !

Its so big! I loved walking all around it and exploring.

Best park around,to take your kids.They have a swimming pool,and the ice cream man,always comes by.

Big clean pool

Great for family outings. Pool is clean, kids friendly - 1 yr and up.*** Staff needs to be more careful when driving around the park, as I witnessed on 2 occassions - 2 hrs apart each incident - 1st ocassion, staff driving a pick up truck over 7 miles/ with small children, only feet away. Very careless! 2nd, staff driving a golf car pretty fast on the side walk, I was with my 18 month niece and was surprised to see this behavior on the same day. I hope management take action, and pay special attention to staff specially to those with access to drive around the premise. In addition to enforcing internal policy when it comes to speed limits within the park. I

Not a very pretty 9 hole holf course. Could use some work to improve its layout and quality.

Nice large playground with different options for varying ages. Bike/walking path near the lake for warm sunny days.

A hidden gem. Play area is very nice, and the pool is wonderful.

Multi purpose fields, seasonal pool with slides, big playground, tennis courts, basketball courts. Park has a building with bathrooms. Open dusk to dawn. I thing usage of fields for groups by permit only. There is an area for picnics as well.
